I'm sorry but I had to smile when I read the glowing review from the reviewer Carol. I didn't live at this apartment a long time but I was there for enough years to see, hear and experience for myself the bad stuff others have written. When I first met to sign the lease all seemed well, manager seemed okay gave me a good tour, he was a bit flirty and seemed full of himself, enjoys talking about how wonderful he is and how good he is at his job but I just let it go, he seemed harmless. I was accepted and moved in. I started to hear things from other people and kept all this info in the back of my mind as I was now on alert to see if anything they said was true. Unfortunately a lot of the negative stuff I heard was true as I experienced it all myself. I became friends with two women and I'm still in contact with them and still hearing the stuff going on there. I do agree with Carol that the grounds are kept nicely mowed and trimmed. I will say too that the the lobby is kept clean. That's it for the good stuff. Now the bad things: For years there was discarded junk, mounds of stuff behind the garbage room and was only recently removed. It looked like a dump back there but I guess out of sight, out of mind??????. The laundry room looks clean when you walk in but make sure you don't drop anything behind one of the machines because that;s where the truth is on how clean it is. There's a washroom in the laundry room and one day there was feces in there and on the seat. It was there for ONE week before it was cleaned. So how often is that laundry room cleaned up then? The manager has other tenants who do chores for him. One guy shakes out the carpets in the entrance way,and will remove magazines from the laundry room as he sees fit. Another tenant sorts out the recycling. I would see the manager vacuuming the hallways once a month. Or more if his boss was coming.It became a joke with some tenants. They would say ***** is vacuuming today and tidying up, the 'Boss" must be coming...and sure enough, she did that same day. So when we saw him doing more vacuuming than he normally did we knew she was coming to the building. If he takes a shine to you, all will be peaceful. If you cross him or disagree with something or complain, WATCH OUT!!!You will be on his list of troublemakers. So if you want to live there expect to pay a lot of $$$, lose your water a lot, rent will go up abut $30.00 each year and just be super nice and smile with him all the time don;t ever complain and you'll be okay...maybe. I left and am much happier where I am now, I feel I can breathe and not living under his ever watchful eye. read more
