Went there to get a full set after work and decided to get a pedicure as well. The girl who started doing my pedicure was nice and only talked when needed! About half way through, the manager lady starts yelling at her and she promptly jumped up So the lady who came to start my full set was upset because my nails were so short. She started calling other ladies to come look and I told her that was not needed and that what was needed was for her to start gluing. She rolled her eyes and started talking in her native language. I didn't care! After my pedicure I moved to a nail table and she asked if I wanted a french manicure. I told her that I wanted my nails to be the same color as my toe nails! She scoffed and said that french would look better! I just ignored her. Overall, she was kind of rude and rough and my nails didn't look like they had just been done 24 hours later! She did the nails too thin so they were breaking off 3 days later. I went to my normal place and got them all re-done just 4 days after initially getting them done! A full set done the right way normally lasts me a good 2 weeks before I have to get them filled! I'll probably never go back there again. read more

I would love to give this place five stars because the people are so nice - seriously, some of the funniest, sweetest people I've ever encountered at a salon. I had a long work week and they kind of got me out of a mood I was in - cracking jokes and just being friendly. I have to give it only 3 stars, however because my gel manicure peeled off after about five days (when it should last three weeks). I didn't do anything harsh with my hands - just typed basically. And it peeled off. It was kind of expensive, so unfortunately I won't be back because it didn't last. But still-great people! read more

I have gotten my pedicures forever (20 years)at Rose Nails. More recently, my husband joined me. He loved the improvement to his nails done by Nu. The quality of care at Rose Nails is high level, friendly, caring and professional. Walk-ins there are welcome. Unfortunately, due to the July, 2025 storm they had to be closed for remodeling. During the 6 months they were closed I got pedicures done in more recently opened businesses with fancier decor. I'm back at Rose because the service is the quality of nail care is better. read more

I love Rose Nails. I've been a customer since 2014. Always friendly and professional. Excellent service. I have manicures, pedicures, and waxing here on a regular basis. This business was affected by the flooding rains in July 2025 and closed for four months. They are open again and ready for new customers. I have been going to Rose Nails for pedicures and acrylic fills for the past 7+ years. They are my favorite place to go in Chapel Hill because it is convenient and the quality of the experience has been routinely high. The polish lasts long, my nails do not chip or break for weeks, and they are all friendly. Tina is excellent, and I encourage anyone to ask for her. What a wonderful spa pedicure I had at Rose Nails!! Their salon is beautiful with very comfy massage chairs, new tile floors and fresh paint. They have a huge selection of nail polishes to choose from. The salon was quiet and I was given a complimentary glass of wine with my Signature Pedicure. I went to this place because my mother gave me a gift certificate. I was worried after reading the Yelp reviews. However for a relatively busy Sunday afternoon I received prompt and thorough service.
