We walked to it, about 20 minutes, but we do walk like crazy so I know most people will drive. 5 minutes drive in a residential neighborhood, plenty of street parking. The Hedge looks the same, we clowned around a bit to take some photos of my husband playing Michael Myers and no, he's not that creepy. People live in that house so be respectful of their privacy. It is great to see all these locations so well preserved after so many years since they shot the original Halloween directed by Maestro Carpenter in South Pasadena. It was surprising how close they are to each other. This is a regular house located right across from the public library! It is a private residence so be mindful of that. I read that the owners put pumpkins everywhere around the house during Halloween time and offer them to visitors. So another visit might happen in the near future. Since my husband is a major Halloween and John Carpenter fan, visiting the location for Laurie Strode's house in the area was a great bonus. Parking was scarce too, but we still made a quick stop to check it out after an event we attended nearby. It's basically a giant fork with a fitting name for the artwork. The creation started as a joke by artist, Ken Marshall, who gave it as a birthday gift in 2009 to Ice House comedy club founder Bob Stane. It was temporarily removed, then later reinstalled a couple years later after attaining permits, and has since, been a site for food drives/charity events as well as a tourist attraction for people like me :D

There are many restaurants to eat from and many places with sweet drinks and ice cream. If you are looking to buy a car, Old Town Pasadena has dealerships like the Porsche dealership, Rolls-Royce, Lucid, and more. There is a ton of history behind Old Town Pasadena which makes it extremely special. History dates back to 1870 when it was first a thing. They used to grow oranges there and now it's a thriving tourist destination! That's just so unique. This place is very walkable for tourists with many different alleyways and streets. Green St. Right next to Pasadena is also pretty nice. It's like Old Town Pasadena but some places there are more of a hidden gem. Other than dealerships and restaurants, Old Town Pasadena has a ton of clothing stores and shops to go to. They even have museums art galleries and events. This place also has a pretty big car culture like the concorso ferrari event where they line dozens and dozens of Ferraris in Old Town Pasadena. At night, Old Town Pasadena is still very cool. There are many active bars to go to and still cars and people walking around! If you are in the area and haven't gone to Old Town Pasadena yet, you should definitely go see if you like it or not. If you like cars you might see some cool cars too! Overall there is a lot of history behind this place and I would recommend it.

Street meters are still available up and down the street. Some of my top favorites include Waunderlust Creamery and The Pie Hole. There are also mainstream popular brand stores such as JCrew, Madewell, Urban Outfitters, and a few others. We ordered the Moules Marinières (mussels) but requested to have it as our appetizer which they were happy to do for us. The broth was exquisite. We didn't even leave a drop behind. It came with a large portion of mussels and great French fries that were nice and crispy. To pair with this dish, we also ordered bread which I believe was $8. The bread went really well with the broth. For our entrees my wife had the Magret de Canard Roti (seared duck breast) which was cooked perfectly med-rare. I tried a bite and was really impressed. So much flavor, and the skin was crispy. I ordered the Braised Lamb Shank which was soooo good. I loved the way that it was plated, deboned, and with tons of gravy. The mashed potato puree was very flavorful and buttery. I would absolutely order this again. For dessert, we got the Tarte Tatin (apple tart with ice cream). It came very nicely plated, and a large portion too. The tart itself was kind of cold-ish, and while it was very tasty, we had expected a tart like this to be served warm as if it just came out of the oven. Had a great time today shopping with the hubby for some local goodies at Artisanal LA! So many…read moresamples and so many different kinds of food vendors that we were literally full from trying everything. The Armory for the Arts was a perfect place to have this event. We ended up buying products from All Spice Cafe, Migliore Gourmet Foods, Z Confections, Jenkins Jellies, and Orgasmo de la Boca. We already made a meal with one of the products and it was so yummy! Great event, great vendors, and a great venue ... can't really ask for more. We even got a few gifts crossed off on the holiday shopping list!
