Been a long time ago tht I went to school here and was the lead photographer for the school paper. The campus is still in great shape with a lot of new things added. The admin building is named after Dr. Larry Nutter, who was the president while I attended. I noticed the baseball team was out practicing as well. All of the sports fields are extremely upgraded from the past. Looks like they have even added some dorm rooms. Good place to get your basics out of the way. read more

Price is great but you get what you pay for. If your not a straight A, 10% across the board student they treat you as less than and unimportant. From professors, to admissions, to especially the fafsa department. Though I have been eligible for fafsa, i've have to pay almost $5,000 to rose because they find some way every semester to put something on your account stating some sort of complication with fafsa. A complication that could easily be solved might I add but the don't give you any kind of details as to what it is and important information until it's too late to be fixed. This has been every. single. semester. I initially thought it was just me but MANY students have spoken out about this. COMPLETELY ridiculous Rose!! If we are coming to you it's because financially a university cannot be afforded. Get it together. if you're gonna take advice from anyone about real estate college, take advice from a student that has actually lived the experience rather than parents getting information from their kids and other sources. I would recommend OCCC or a university if you can. read more

Rose State College is a great place to start your academic trek. The majority of the faculty love to teach. There is no difference between subject matter like Calc I or Physics regardless of you go to a Division I Research Institution or a Community College, but professors devoted to the art of teaching and not being distracted by pressure of producing research gives Rose State classrooms an advantage of a large U. The Learning Resource Center is state of the art with gorgeous windows facing the center of campus. The study rooms are fabulous and easy to book for students online. The modern furniture and layout gives this space a welcoming vibe. The coffee shop in the LRC is scrumptious. Rose State has outstanding residence life and a concerted effort toward campus activities that mimics a university setting. They are building a new student union be opened in 2020 that will provide increased concierge services, dining options, and community rooms. Visit before forming an opinion if this is a feasible college option for you. read more

We were lucky enough to attend Aziz Ansari this week at Rose State College and though I hadn't been here in years, I will definitely be back! The facility is beautiful, the people working were pleasant, and the production quality was excellent. We were in the orchestra section, kinda off to the side. We could see Aziz so close up, there were several times I thought he might call out to us. The parking was easy and at the end of the show we were able to get out of there quickly. We both really enjoyed the show and are looking forward to coming back soon. I have already purchased our next pair of tickets! read more

If I could give zero stars, I definitely would! I had the Ticket To Rose scholarship here. They made it unnecessarily difficult to even get started. I figured everything out myself and my next step was to enroll in classes. My situation is a little different, I moved out of state so I needed to take online classes. So I called up there and talked to a receptionist who was EXTREMELY rude about everything. At first she told me that I couldn't enroll me in any classes and would have to travel across the country to Oklahoma to MAYBE speak to someone who MIGHT see me if they weren't busy. I told her that was outrageous and with much attitude in her voice, she explained that they do Skype calls as well. I thanked her and she gave me the number of someone who could help. Over the next few months, I called this number multiple times and left countless voice mails and got nothing in return. At this point, school is starting very soon and I'm cutting it close. I call admissions office, and found that they had blocked me! So I call from a different number and they answer on the first ring. At this point, I lost it. I'm not sure if this was the same lady or not but this time she was even more rude than before. But by finally standing up for myself she put me through directly with who I needed to speak too. The man was very kind and understanding. But at this point, school started just days away and there was no way for me to be put into classes. This was a process that I had started back in April. It wasn't last minute for me. I was really relying on Ticket to Rose. This place is extremely sketchy. I have a lot of friends all over Oklahoma who are looking at colleges for next year and I'll make sure to let them know what happened to me here. read more

When it comes to two year colleges, Rose is as good as it gets! I had a wonderful experience and graduated in 3 years going to night school. Someone always had the answer I was looking for and I enjoyed all of my professors. There are also a lot of activities for the public and continuing education classes. My son attends their swimming classes. I've had good and so so instructors in his swim class. I think that the so so instructors simply didn't know how to "teach" they just told him to do a certain thing. If he didn't get it they didn't take the time to show him.
