You get about 2 hours to paint your selected piece, and I chose a crescent moon and my boo added his personal touches on a skull. Behind us were some ceramics wheel throwers and that also looked fun. Nice instructors and a good amount of classes offered monthly, sign up for their newsletter to stay up to date on things and they make signing up for whichever classes super easy, even accommodating our time to another day than originally advertised.

Don't be too drawn in by the in state tuition of around $3500 a year, because classes and fees will more than double that number. The food you can get with your meal plan is okay at best, unless you're using dining dollars to get fast food and prepackaged food. Maintenance is HORRIBLE. If you put in a maintenance request, it could take a day, to a couple of months to be fixed. My summer dorm had mold growing on the ceiling of the bathroom and it took them 2 months to fix it, and the fix only took about 5 minutes. This was when the dorms were at half capacity, at best, so i'd hate to see how long it'd take during a regular school year. The same people I lived with in summer had maintenance come into our dorm saying that it was "vacant" and that they were doing repairs, during a time they were not allowed to be working on anything. Called the RA on call, because of course housing wasn't available and he told us that we'd just have to wait until monday to get new keys (it was friday evening). Parking is ridiculous unless you're living in the quad, but the other 4 dorms all have to fight for spots which are mostly also for commuters. There's not much of a culture to this school either, so if you're looking for a campus that has a lot to offer culturally, i'd tell you to go to OU or OSU. RAs are in general amazing at their jobs, and the professors clearly know what they're doing (at least in my experience), so that makes this review slightly better.

So when I called to make an appointment to enroll they told me the wait list was 3 years. Next they told me they were thinking about opening the same course on another campus. If you have a 3 year long wait list what is there to think about? Then I called on attending their cyber security program and the enrollment counselor told me the list is so lengthy she couldn't tell me how long it would be. Why not tell people upfront on your website your classes are full for some time to come so they don't start arranging their lives to attend just to find out it's not even possible.

Most of the art is still of the same superior quality, featuring artists like Rory Morgan, David Padgett, Jerry Piper, and Andrea Davis. But amateur learners are dragging down the overall look. I was referred to this salon to meet with a great hairstylist named Amari who just graduated from…read morebeauticians school & this was her first shop. I drove to the shop, which was surprisingly far. It is on the very edge of Oklahoma City. The shop is connected to the beautician/barber school that she graduated from, which is pretty cool for the students there. As for the shop itself, it's definitely a starting point. There were 3 other stations with beauticians working. Comfortable chairs, clean stations, but bare besides a couple of chairs for people waiting to sit in. But I wasn't there for the aesthetic of the shop. I was there to get my hair braided, and Amari did amazing job. Her braiding skills made up for the long drive & lack of decor in the shop.

I toured the new Midtown address of the OCU School of Law recently to check it out as a potential…read morelocation for Yelp events. First of all, I can say that all the trouble everyone went to to move the school to Midtown was well worth them effort. Students and professors will benefit from all that's happening down here, and the community at large will benefit from the up-and-coming professionals having a vested interest in continued improvement in the area, not to mention the dollars they'll all spend in the area when they're not in class. As a venue for special events, the exterior is impressive, the interior stately and it is centrally-located for folks. I can see hosting many different types of events here. It would be a perfect venue for something like a wine or cocktail tasting event or class. It's probably not a good fit for a 400 person, open bar extravaganza. It's probably also a little too business-y for a wedding. I mean, its a school, and it's also home to lots of employees who make the school work (think, office trappings), so you probably could not make it formal enough for a wedding. But for a fundraiser, or book-signing or a lecture, I think it is perfect. They do reserve the right to have complete say over who is able to use it, and for what purpose, but I think that's pretty standard practice for a university. The large patio at the front of the building is actually a very cool space and would make for an awesome event. I'd love to host something out there sometime, providing I could use the interior space as a back-up, since I've learned that you absolutely always have to have a back-up in the event of weather.
