The location is also poorly signed and is in a remote area. We got lost at night trying to find the gate as there was no lighting which was surprising giving the remoteness. A few solar lights and a sign would have helped alot. I also asked for a discount due to these problems and was not given one. I will just stay in Silver next time... ​

Pulling up to the cabins we were just in awe of the beauty of the location. It's secluded and nestled within the beauty of the Gila National Forest. We stayed in the Jolly McGregor Cabin/Casita and the view was just fantastic! The homemade wine/bread and raw honey were also a nice treat upon arrival. There was also Susie's Homemade lip & body balm as nice treats as well. The cabin had all the necessary cooking supplies, condiments and supplies that one could need. There were many times when we just said "Wow, they've thought of everything!" There were books/card games and many pamphlets about the local attractions in the cabin. And last but not least, the gas fire pit and soaking tub was a nice romantic treat! The place was so quiet and secluded we often wondered if we were the only ones there! An additional treat/bonus for this place is that it's off-the-grid. It's completely powered by solar power and gas. Our AT&T phone service didn't work, but the peace was just fine. The owners conveniently have a phone available if calls need to be made. One last thing is that when I researched going to this place, I thought all of the "Excellent" reviews couldn't possibly be real! But after staying there, I can say that there aren't enough words or pictures to describe the beauty and serenity of this place. We had an amazing time and we can't wait to return! I almost always never go over 80-miles/128-kms, which consumes most of the daylight as well my eBatteries strength. Glenwood was at the best stopping point, and LOS OLMOS LODGE has a monopoly on overnighting in the tiny community, so no dickering about the price. I was assigned the "Sundance" cabin, which was perfectly sized for a solo-cyclist like me. Also essential is "free" WiF, especially since I couldn't get the flat screen monitor to function. I bought a few microwaveable items at the gas/convenience store (also owned by the Los Olmos group), a bit pricy but useful in the well-functioning microwave. Some ice was available in the community cente/kitchen/ fridge. The firm bed was welcome; All-in-all, it was pretty nice, worth reserving ahead as no vacancies exist on the weekends. UNTIL midnight, when a raccoon (or some other varmit) began excavating in a crawl space underneath. Despite my ready-to-rest body needing uninterrupted sleep, it would be a few hours before the critter finally slowed and I could do so, too. I really should have gotten some kind of rebate, but just wanted to get gone, continuing my cycle North on US180 toward NM12/Reserve. I certainly had no desire to go "The Catwalk", a prime local attraction a few mile/clicks away--walking require, but I am bicycling! "LOS OLMOS is an OK--and the only place for reservations--to stay. But, whatever you do, stay in any cabin other than SUNDANCE!

We really enjoyed this low-key location. The motel was very clean and comfortable with a mini fridge, microwave, stove, and sink. Decorated very cute. The staff were super friendly. A quiet, family, run RV park just on the edge of Silver City, New Mexico. This RV park offers…read moreapproximately 25 sites all with water and power. Reservations can be made with an on line form, but at the end of the day all reservations are finalized over the phone. No confirmation emails are provided by this business. Upon arrival we were met at the check-in office by an individual in a golf cart, who guided us directly to our campsite. The campsites are fairly close together, however a row of brush/trees does offer a bit of privacy. At arrival we were also provided the camp guidelines/rules that outline the number of items that are not posted on their website nor were we informed when we phoned for the reservation. A couple of very important items that are not mentioned on the website is that there is only one combined toilet/shower facility for the entire campground. While this may work for big rig RVs. this does not work for many. I think it's very important to note for anyone looking to stay at this location that the single bathrooms/shower is not handicapped accessible should they need that type of accommodation. There are no outdoor fires or charcoal barbecues permitted, even during low fire season, propane only. If you do not have a propane grill, they were offering rentals and/or the free use of a community space for grilling. It should be noted that the owners reside on the property and they had a charcoal grill and charcoal, which is contrary to their own rules. We were also noted at check-in, that once we had checked in, we could not change our reservation and there would be no refunds if we chose to shorten our stay. Having a pop-up camper, we typically rely on campground amenities, such as public bathrooms and showers; this RV park having only one combination bathroom and shower for the entire campground, which also is a little outdated and quite frankly could've been a little cleaner. While limitation of only one facility was not a problem while we were here it did delay our departure, as only one of us could use the facility at a time. While this may work for some, had we known about the bathroom and shower situation beforehand we would not have booked this location. There are a number of washers and dryers available for use with payment. Games, cards, etc. we're available for campers. Other than the washing facilities, games, and a gathering place that was enclosed there's really not many more amenities at this location. There are no nearby trails, bike paths or running paths. Attempts for a morning run through the nearby neighborhood resulted in being chased by loose dogs! The public road to the facility can be a little rough in some spots particularly if you are pulling a trailer. The family was pleasant and they do offer a complementary barbecue on Saturday nights if you happen to stay in the area and there is nice socialization among the camp regulars. It does appear that a number of the campers at this location are here for longer term rentals and have larger campers that do not require use of the public facilities. While there is restaurants and shopping within 10 to 15 minute drive, there is absolutely nothing within walking distance. I would strongly encourage this business to post the information on their welcome documents in the website, so that it's crystal clear for customers as to what they should expect. I would also encourage this business to provide confirmation emails that reiterate the information noted above. I typically rely on reviews for alot of my choices as to where I stay when I go camping. I also hope that the business owners enhance their website information, and pricing structure, to allow customers expectations and what they provide to align.

We drive 37' Class A and tow our jeep. We had a very private patio on one side of our rig with a great desert vista. Will definitely stay here again.
