A quiet, family, run RV park just on the edge of Silver City, New Mexico. This RV park offers approximately 25 sites all with water and power. Reservations can be made with an on line form, but at the end of the day all reservations are finalized over the phone. No confirmation emails are provided by this business. Upon arrival we were met at the check-in office by an individual in a golf cart, who guided us directly to our campsite. The campsites are fairly close together, however a row of brush/trees does offer a bit of privacy. At arrival we were also provided the camp guidelines/rules that outline the number of items that are not posted on their website nor were we informed when we phoned for the reservation. A couple of very important items that are not mentioned on the website is that there is only one combined toilet/shower facility for the entire campground. While this may work for big rig RVs. this does not work for many. I think it's very important to note for anyone looking to stay at this location that the single bathrooms/shower is not handicapped accessible should they need that type of accommodation. There are no outdoor fires or charcoal barbecues permitted, even during low fire season, propane only. If you do not have a propane grill, they were offering rentals and/or the free use of a community space for grilling. It should be noted that the owners reside on the property and they had a charcoal grill and charcoal, which is contrary to their own rules. We were also noted at check-in, that once we had checked in, we could not change our reservation and there would be no refunds if we chose to shorten our stay. Having a pop-up camper, we typically rely on campground amenities, such as public bathrooms and showers; this RV park having only one combination bathroom and shower for the entire campground, which also is a little outdated and quite frankly could've been a little cleaner. While limitation of only one facility was not a problem while we were here it did delay our departure, as only one of us could use the facility at a time. While this may work for some, had we known about the bathroom and shower situation beforehand we would not have booked this location. There are a number of washers and dryers available for use with payment. Games, cards, etc. we're available for campers. Other than the washing facilities, games, and a gathering place that was enclosed there's really not many more amenities at this location. There are no nearby trails, bike paths or running paths. Attempts for a morning run through the nearby neighborhood resulted in being chased by loose dogs! The public road to the facility can be a little rough in some spots particularly if you are pulling a trailer. The family was pleasant and they do offer a complementary barbecue on Saturday nights if you happen to stay in the area and there is nice socialization among the camp regulars. It does appear that a number of the campers at this location are here for longer term rentals and have larger campers that do not require use of the public facilities. While there is restaurants and shopping within 10 to 15 minute drive, there is absolutely nothing within walking distance. I would strongly encourage this business to post the information on their welcome documents in the website, so that it's crystal clear for customers as to what they should expect. I would also encourage this business to provide confirmation emails that reiterate the information noted above. I typically rely on reviews for alot of my choices as to where I stay when I go camping. I also hope that the business owners enhance their website information, and pricing structure, to allow customers expectations and what they provide to align. read more

Stayed for 3 nights mid-week in October. (50$/night) Park is 3/4 of a mile down an unpaved road just outside Silver city. Totally worth the drive. Site 10 was a back-in and very level. We drive 37' Class A and tow our jeep. We had a very private patio on one side of our rig with a great desert vista. Will definitely stay here again. read more

Stayed for 4 nights. Quiet, clean, well spaced lots, nicely landscaped. Pet friendly and lots of open space on the edges of the park to walk the dog. Close enough to town to do tourist stuff but far enough away that there was very little light pollution and the night sky was amazing. Host held a happy hour for quests that was a really nice touch. Had an impromptu stay and this campground was outstanding. They were able to get us in a great pull out site. Amenities and grounds were clean and well-maintained. We had some minor repairs needed on our camper and John let us borrow some of his tools. Great customer service. Highly recommend! read more

This is a great place!! Only here for 2 days, but owners are on site and very friendly! I read reviews of getting in here being an issue, but that is not the case. A one way road can have you getting where you need to be without any problems. Clean areas, pet friendly (we did not bring any), well maintained, and privacy spots. 2 washers and dryers, books and puzzles to borrow, bath and shower if you need it, and minutes from historic downtown ands shopping. Did I mention the Saturday night BBQ? Smoked brisket, chicken, and sides!!! Not what we planned, but was pleasantly surprised. Met some great people, and plan on returning before we even leave. Wonderful clean park on the edge of town. The owners were welcoming, friendly, and live on site. There were no,or very few, permanent park dwellers, and the grounds were immaculate and beautifully landscaped. Our site (#1) was completely private with shade. The owners threw a barbecue for all those in the park on Saturday and apparently this is a regular thing. We really enjoyed our stay and recommend Manzano's. We have also stayed at the other big private campground in town but will be returning to Manzanos. read more

Really. Nice. Park. Clean gravel with level, wide spaces. BBQ every Saturday evening. Full hookups. WIFI was a little sketchy for us but I think that we were way out on the edge of that service. I think that I read a review somewhere about a 'very steep' dirt road at the entrance. Give me a break. There's a bit of a hill. Big deal. There is also a comment in another review "The whole park faces a bunch of man-made buildings." All I can see is juniper trees. Yes, there is some highway noise off in the distance, but that's about all I can see of civilization. We camped at space #9. read more

Perfect RV park--clean, well-equipped with laundry, restroom, full hookups. Convenient to those visiting Silver City and the surrounding area or to those just passing through. Great hiking close by. Myself and 2 campmates have stayed here post camping the past 3 years. Under the old, and now the new ,owners. We have been welcomed by the new owners, and are really impressed by their dedication and friendliness! It's clean, well maintained, has shade - and - a community feel that was great. It was a great place. Spent four nights there , the sunsets were spectacular. The owner and his wife are very friendly and outgoing. They offer a barbecue on Saturday nights that is out of this world. Close to many wonderful places to go and explore or just a beautiful place to sit in the quiet, relax and enjoy the peace. We camped at Manzanos RV March 24-27. we were in slot #3 I believe. it was close to the Office with a small wall in front of the lot. This campground is about midway between Silver City and Bayard, about a mile off the HWY. we had a great experience there: 1. Very friendly and helpful owners---Jon and Barb 2. The gravel lots were very clean and well kept. Everyone has some trees and a picnic table. The slots are more spacious than most campgrounds. 3. Every Saturday they provide a free BBQ for all guests. The one we attended included spareribs smoked that day, chicken, sausage, potatoes, salad, dessert. It was amazing---they put a lot of effort into this meal, and it shows! and it was a great way to meet and chat with other travelers. 4. Full hook-ups 5. The one minor complaint is that there is only one bathroom/shower open to the public. In summary, we very much enjoyed our stay and will definitely return in the future! read more

Negative experience. First of all you have to drive down an extremely steep and bumpy dirt road. I did not like the jostling and vibration trying to get to this place. It was very hard on my rv. Why subject my vehicle to such abuse just to be surrounded by old run down residential area? The scenery was not all that great. The whole park faces a bunch of man made buildings. Second the place had very few amenities. The socializing area was basically a tarp and some lawn chairs. The sites were decent but the place was on the side of a hill and the land is soft. It's okay you can still be level but I would hate to see this place in the rain and mud. There is basically one over worked grumpy person working here, maybe more. Very curt and cuts you off before you can even finish asking a question. On the plus side there are few sites but most are available since prolly few people would ever consider staying here. Nice place if you ever want a whole RV park all to yourself. They have about 19 spaces total. But only if you're towing in or staying in a fully self contained rv for long stretches of time. I wouldn't want to drive any kind of vehicle on that road too often. read more

Loved this place. Very friendly and helpful management. The sites and and roads with in the park are gravel. All or most of the sites are separated with trees. Our site had a stone retaining wall on one side, a bench, picnic table and clothes line. Very peaceful and quiet, but about 5 min. from down town. With so many sites of interest to me: a National Monument, Nature Conservancy & wildlife areas, I want to go back again for another stay. They have a building that serves as an office and club house w/a kitchen, diningroom, one men's & one women's bathroom and shower, a room w/ exercise equipment that I thought about using, puzzles, books, magazines and DVD that could be borrowed. The last 3/4 mile of the road in to the park is dirt and a little rough, but if one takes it slow it isn't an issue. Not much management can do about a county road. read more

This little RV park is a great find in Silver City. We stopped here for a week and almost immediately extended our stay. The campground hosts Virginia and her husband were very helpful with suggestions about things to do around town. The clubhouse has strong wi-Fi and a lending library of DVDs and books. It's a quiet park on the end of a dirt county road surrounded by cedar and pinon trees. I would definitely stay here again. read more

This was the nicest experience I've ever had at an RV campground! Virginia was so caring & accommodating when I called; she was concerned we'd get there after dark & would not find the place. Her & her husband met us on their road & all was good; actually easy to find. It's just out of Silver City & beautiful well maintained grounds, large sites with juniper & succulents separating each. Dark sky's were nice, internet was available but slow for trying to watch a movie online. The clubhouse was like walking into someone's house complete with exercise room, tv & couch with videos to rent & a puzzle room! Stayed 2 nights instead of 1. Great place and would go out of my way to stay here again. Lots to do in and around Silver City too. read more

If you are looking for a peaceful getaway, this is the place! It has a lot of trees, very scenic and tranquil. The hosts treat you like family and will bend over backwards to help you. The sights are large and easy to get in and out of, you don't feel crowded at all. The area is full of historical sites and lots of great hikes. read more

Location is awesome for exploring Gila and Silver City. Wifi was strong, and the bathrooms squeaky clean. The clubhouse features books, dvds to borrow, and comfortable reading chairs. Really enjoyed our stay at this peaceful RV park. Convenient to everything in the Silver City area. We were able to park our 40' motorhome in a nice pull through spot with some great shade. Spaces are nicely set apart from each other and the owners are very friendly and helpful. Lots of improvements going on and a new area has just been added. The clubhouse has lots of useful information, movies and books for sharing. Great place to meet friendly campers! Bring a hummingbird feeder and enjoy the visits from a multitude of these little birds. Our biggest surprise was how good the wifi was at the campground. We had a great time and will definitely visit again to beat the summer heat in the valley! read more

We LOVE this little RV park! It's not in the least busy with what I call "kid stuff." It's peaceful and relaxing. We've been here for almost 2 weeks now and plan to stay for at least one more. The Manzanos are friendly and keep a nice, clean, quiet park. The 18 sites are beautiful and most are pretty private, with junipers and lovely stone walls defining and separating them. The rates are the best in town. There's a view of the surrounding mountains from parts of the park. It's located east of Silver City, and just a short drive off Route 180. The Clubhouse, where you find the park office, is a double-wide mobile home, with a wonderful, wide porch, and it's very cozy and welcoming. There are 2 completely private, one-at-a-time bathrooms, one for guys & the other for gals; an exercise room; a kitchen; a washer & dryer (only $1 for each machine per load); the living room has comfy chairs and lots of books, DVDs and VHS tapes for you to borrow for free, magazines, newspapers and local info; and there's yet another room with a jigsaw puzzle going on - and everyone's welcome to work on it. There are only those 2 bathrooms but in the time we've been here, neither my husband nor I has ever had to wait to use the shower and no one was waiting for it when we were finished. Same goes for the washer & dryer, which I've used twice so far. The free Wi-Fi connection is super fast. The only "complaint" we have is that the hot water doesn't last long in the shower. Now, I don't mind that at all, as I prefer a lukewarm temp and it lasts just fine for me, but my husband likes a scorching hot shower so he's a little disappointed. This is a pet-friendly park, which is wonderful for us as we have a sweet 35-pound dog who is our traveling companion. We have enjoyed a lengthy stay here and will make it a point to spend more time here.
