Wesley Ko came highly recommended from a friend. He laid out a plan for us to sell my current…read moreapartment and purchase a new house in 6 months (all in Oakland) and he worked very hard to help accomplish that goal. Throughout the process he was patient, responsive and professional. For the sale, Wesley and his teammates were extremely efficient when it came to staging and holding open houses and we were able to sell my apartment after the first scheduled showings. The only really difficult thing I had to do was say goodbye to the apartment and move out. I am extremely picky and so when we began to tour houses, Wesley's patience and eye for details really helped narrow down potential properties that would be a good fit for me and we also struck out a lot of bad ones. Wesley's experience shines during touring. Just to name a few things he has a keen sense of smell for moisture/mold, can feel for the slightest unevenness in floors and can tell good from bad repair work just from a quick glance and feel, he has really seen it all. This is where a whole lot of Wesley's value comes from, he's not just another paper pusher...he actually enjoys looking at houses with clients and he is great at pointing out things that a normal person wouldn't see. Eventually a few months later we were able to close on a new house that was exactly what I was looking for. It was a pleasure to work with Wesley and he was so helpful throughout the entire process. As I said before he is thoughtful, smart, engaged and it's clear he loves what he does and I now recommend him to everyone I know who is looking to buy in the bay area.

I think a 4 1/2 star review would have been more appropriate so I would rate OWN very good. We…read moreengaged Wilson and his team at OWN to sell our home in Millbrae. We interviewed three realtors and we selected Wilson because we agreed with his vision as to how to prepare our home for sale and his assessment of current market conditions. We were very pleased with the decision as we found out that Wilson has a strong team to support the preparation and sales process. A project plan was developed months in advance and for the most part all deadlines were achieved. Luis (contractor) and Priscilia (coordinator) prepared the house for sale on time and on budget. The staging firm did a great job in presenting our home. When necessary Wilson was alway available to answer our questions. The Open Houses took place as we planned months in advance and we were given an update at the end of each weekend. When offers came in Wilson and Cathy (Experttcs) helped us navigate through the negotiation process until we accepted a bid that met our target. We were then introduced to Michele (Director of Ops) and Aldolfo (escrow officer of WFG Title Co.) to guide us through the closing process. Their assistance made the paperwork burden as painless as possible. We were happy with the entire process and impressed with how the Own Team worked together to get the job done. We deducted a 1/2 star because the lateral sewer work mandated by the city was delayed for weeks because the plumber that OWN uses was not available. This caused a delay in closing. My recommendation to OWN is to expand the list of plumbers the company can use. Also, we were assigned an original coordinator with whom we did all the pre-planning. However, when execution time arrived we discovered she left the company. Thankfully Priscilia stepped in and everything worked out fine.

Michael was the listing agent for our latest remodeled project that closed in April, 2026. During…read morethe remodeling phase, we interviewed the top 3 realtor groups in the area. The 1st realtor came in with no preparation and no data to support his opinion of the home's value. He showed no enthusiasm for the home. We were disappointed. He suggested that we list the home at $ 1.7 mil. The 2nd group was slightly better, and they suggested we list the home at $ 1.9 mil. Michael was the last person we interviewed, and thank god we met him. We were very impressed with him from the very beginning. Here are a few stand-out qualities that made Michael one of the best realtors we worked with (and we worked with a lot of realtors over the years). 1) When it comes to selling the home, Michael has his proven strategy to get us the top sales price and terms for the home. He is very analytical. He based his strategy on real market data and experience. He is very transparent, and he patiently explains to us his approach in marketing and timing of listing the home. 2) Michael is very enthusiastic about selling the home for us. He genuinely appreciates and is excited about the home. We truly believe that if the realtor selling the home is not excited about it, it is hard to convince others (potential buyers) of how great the home is and to get them to pay top dollar for it. 3) Michael's stager, photographer, and marketing team are absolutely top-notch. 4) Michael is a great negotiator. He properly prepped the buyers' realtors during the initial conversations before they wrote the offers. He listed the home for $2.3 mil. After 2 weekends of open houses, Michael got us multiple offers and sold the home for $2.5 mil. We are so incredibly grateful to Michael for getting us $ 2.5mil for the home instead of the $1.7mil or the $1.9 mil the other realtors suggested. We would have left $800K on the table. Needless to say, we will definitely work with Michael again!

What was really helpful was how well Lauren understood the market and her help with valuing listings. I can't recommend Valerie highly enough if you're navigating the San Francisco market - which, if…read moreyou've tried, you know is not for the faint of heart. She is exactly who you need in a market this competitive. Her knowledge of the area is exceptional. She doesn't just know listings, she knows neighborhoods, buildings, and pricing trends in a way that lets you move fast and with confidence. That mattered enormously - I saw a flat at 10am and was in contract by 3pm the same day, because she understood immediately that it was the right fit and helped me act on it without hesitation. Before I even started looking, Valerie took the time to really understand what I was looking for and what would actually work within my budget, so we weren't wasting time on places that didn't make sense. That upfront investment made everything after it so much smoother. And when it came time to negotiate, she was excellent, sharp, strategic, and clearly experienced at getting favorable outcomes in a market where every moment counts. What stood out most, though, was how much she genuinely cares. This isn't just a transaction for her, Valerie is invested in doing right by her clients. If you're buying in SF, she's the agent you want in your corner.

Now you might be skeptical and ask me why. My partner and I were on the same quest a year ago and coincidentally stumbled upon Len during one of our casual "let's check this open house out" adventures. Our curiosity had been ahead of having an actual plan and so we found ourselves still real estate agent free at that point. Right off the bat, Len struck us as very knowledgeable. He wasn't trying to sell us anything, he was telling it like it was and didn't hold back from asking us some pointed questions. We immediately took a liking to him and to this day are very happy with having followed our gut instincts. When it came down to house hunting itself, Len connected us with Janna and she was also a pleasure to work with. In our first sit down meeting with them, Len mentioned it takes about 9 open houses to fully nail our taste. I laughed skeptically and remember saying "not us". It took them 5. That's how well they understood what we wanted. Once we were ready to put in an offer, Len was very strategic and transparent. I was glad he was on our side and we didn't have to bid against him. He didn't mince words and was always clear on what to expect. He told us we could call us at any time and he really meant it. Whether it be 12pm or 9pm, on a Monday or Saturday, he would pick up or call us back shortly after. We eventually got outbid on the first house we put an offer in on, but smoothly and happily closed on the second one. We've been living in our house in our dream place for about a year now. We feel very lucky to have stumbled upon Len and we will forever be grateful for their outstanding work and care.

Prior to moving in we were promised that multiple things would be fixed upon moving. None of that ever happened. We kept asking him about fixing the issues he promised and he kept saying he'd eventually do it and never did. So we just gave up on asking him. Also upon moving in we noticed the fridge was full of food stains and crumbs. The shelves in the kitchen and stove were also very dirty and not cleaned. We had to do a deep cleaning upon moving which was absurd for a place where we were paying nearly 4K a month for. We soon learned from our neighbors that the previous tenants, moved out because the property manager would avoid them and failed to fix serious issues in the house; they eventually grew tired of asking and moved on. When it was time for us to move out at the end of the lease, we spent hours painting / deep cleaning the place to ensure that there would be no issue on retrieving our deposit. It's been weeks since we've left and have yet to receive it. Jose first told us we left a mess and would be charged a large cleaning fee. We obviously questioned him on that and he responded with sending us pictures of a property with a mess in it (which was not ours ). He then claimed we left the oven dirty, left dust on the garage floor, and dust top of the fridge; we found this comical given the state we received the house. He then claimed the cleaners charged him $400 to clean these things which would come out of our deposit.... How does that even make any sense? It's been weeks since we've left and have yet to receive our deposit; he's continued to lie and stall even after leaving. And in CA a rent deposit should be returned within 21 days! I've been renting houses in the San Francisco area for over 12 years and have never dealt with such bullshit.
