Thank goodness we found this place! It was maybe our favorite restaurant in Guanajuato!
You would never know there's a restaurant here. It looks like a little tiny bakery storefront tucked away on a quiet street. But we were directed here by another guest at our hotel who randomly happened upon it and said it was fantastic.
The patio in back (accessed by the unmarked open door to the right of the bakery entrance) is really sweet and cute, with only 4 tables. It looks like there is only one person cooking, and one person making drinks and serving the tables.
The menu is surprisingly large. They serve breakfast (starting at 10am), lunch and dinner. Service is slow...I don't think anyone speaks English...but very sweet.
I had the matcha latte, which is a little sweeter than what I'd normally go for, but it was delicious. And my chilaquiles were awesome--even without cheese and cream.
It's a really relaxing place to be in a city that can feel chaotic. read more
