Knowing her as we do, I expected her to work hard and smart for us, but I was amazed at how knowledgeable she was through the entire process, telling us what we needed to know and helping us control all of the moving parts towards closing. It felt like she had been doing it for 20 years. Finding a home while out of state is complicated and at times difficult. Sarah did everything we asked of her and more. We sent her into a couple of houses to video for us that were more sketchy than the sales listing indicated, but she handled the filming and the tenants with humor, poise and aplomb. The house we settled on was far from her office, so we didn't feel she needed to do a last minute video inspection on the day before closing, but she did, and was with us the next day at the closing itself. As I mentioned, she went above and beyond for us. For example, after the appraisal came in $500 below the selling price and we or the seller would have to make it up, we decided on our own not to go back to the seller with yet another request. We didn't know that Sarah was looking out for us and had already approached the selling realtor, and they okayed the revised sale price. So Sarah saved us $500 with her initiative. Not once did she ask the owner if they wanted to sell their first home, their dream home on 21 Stonewall Rd Harpswell, ME. The land was purchased from an employee of Roxanne's and cleared by owner. The owner put heart and sole into this property, knowing it was their forever home, their retirement home. Everything had been paid in cash, so no mortgage. The builder took numerous short cuts, code violations that Roxanne completely ignored, while she searched for a buyer. The owner of property was eventually railroaded into selling at a huge loss and forced to move in one day, with no plans. Roxanne's only interest was a commission, not the lives she destroyed in the process. When deadlines were missed and owner wanted to null and void what they didn't understand, owner was still forced to follow through. This was an illegal sale, but that didn't matter to Roxanne York! If Roxanne had actually asked the owner, if they wanted to sell, Roxanne would have learned, they had no intentions of selling!! Roxanne York's greed cost the once in a lifetime dream of a first time home owner
