Das Innere ist etwas klein und gedrängt, dafür entschädigt der großzügige, mit Schirmen teilweise "überdachte" Außenbereich. Die Küche ist solide und traditionell, mit klassischen Speisen wie Schweinebraten, ergänzt durch eine "Saisonkarte" (zZt Gerichte mit Pfifferlingen). Die Qualität des Essens ist ansprechend (mein Gericht war Rahmbraten mit hausgemachten Spätzle und Beilagensalat für €13,50), an der Präsentation könnte man arbeiten (siehe Photos). Biere sind u.a. von Krombacher, darunter ein empfehlenswertes naturtrübes Kellerbier - Preise wie überall, dh etwas über €4 für 0,4l. Damit muss man heute leben. Die beiden weiblichen Bedienungen waren sehr nett. Bis zum Servieren des Essens dauerte es eine Weile - ein Indiz, dass hier wirklich gekocht wird und nicht nur aufgewärmt! In einem "Ausflugslokal" keineswegs selbstverständlich. Schade, dass das Restaurant sogar am WE in der Hauptsaison um 14.30 Uhr zeitweise schließt, während alle anderen Restaurants/Cafés am Marktplatz durchgehend geöffnet sind.

Die Zimmer sind geräumig, individuell gestaltet und sehr gepflegt und sauber. Bei nur wenigen Gästezimmern gibt es morgens kein Frühstücksbüffet, sondern ein leckeres, an den Tisch gebrachtes Frühstück. Daher kann man morgens in aller Ruhe und ohne die sonstige Frühstücksbüffethektik und Geschäftigkeit großer Hotels frühstücken und entspannt den Tag in Marburg planen.

The service is extremely friendly, I felt very much at home as soon as I entered. There is seating outside and inside. Definitely don't be in a rush if you want to eat here. Even though the service is very nice, it is slow. Perfect for a relaxing Sunday brunch. The decor is also very charming, and their range of desserts are all delicious!
