I was also told that they would make no attempt to have this inquiry removed from my credit report. My wife never gave my social security number to the office so I'm not sure how they attained it. My wife also maintains that she was not told that there would be hard inquiry on my credit and not hers. I believe the only reason an office would do this type of credit search on a cash transaction is to determine income and raise their price accordingly. This inquiry remained on my credit for two years and affected my fico score. I will never trust or use this business.
