Ironically the office prosecuting me was the "Justice System Integrity Division" of LA District Attorney's office. My husband didn't know his Alien number and what applied. So I did my own research after many lawyers told me I could pay $6000 or more to start the process. Or they would recommend I wait to apply after 10 years. Mr. Talleda on the other hand encouraged me to continue submitting the I-130 without the use of a lawyer. He explained how immigration usually approves all cases for a Consulate interview. He explained that my husband was going to be approved to set up the visa interview. During the interview the immigration officer would tell my husband what ban applied. Sure enough we continued, saved thousands by submitting the paperwork ourselves, and this week my husband received great news! He qualifies for the I-601 waiver.
