Trying to buy a ticket at Marina Water Tours was one of the lowest experiences I ever had as a customer. The guy selling the tickets first led me in the wrong direction and started swearing at me when I asked him why? When I then asked him why he was so unfriendly that seemed to trigger him and he became even more aggressive, refused to sell me a ticket and told me to f... off. After reading the comments on this company on other pages I say 'Thanks God' I didn't buy a ticket from such a rude and fraudulent scumbag. Today I caught, killed, prepared and cooked my own lunch. I am hunter and gatherer - yay me! Ross boat trips have four vessels of varying sizes that can be used for anything from fishing trips, power boat cruises, corporate events and hen and stag do's. For the fishing trips, the company go out five times a day, seven days a week, from March to November (providing the weather isn't too rough). Each trip lasts for a duration of 90 minutes which is ample time to catch enough mackerel for your tea (and probably enough to last you through the week!). The cost is £20 per head (£10 for spectators) and this included the use of fishing rods and bait. Its quite a simple technique and the boys on the boat will help you reel in the fish and kill them if you get stuck. The killing is a little gruesome but I believe its an important thing to do if you want to follow the process through from start to finish. It was maybe a little crowded on the boat which led to the lines becoming entangled on occasion. But its a fun way to spend a couple of hours, especially when the sun is shining and the seas are calm. I brought home seven mackerel, a pretty good catch. And being able to eat fish that was swimming in the sea just a few hours before is a true delight. read more

Myself and friends prepaid for a fishing trip with Ross' Boat Trips. We turned up half an hour early, spoke to Ross and said we'd go get a coffee. We came back on the hour and the boat was driving away, even though he knew we were there. He then told us to hang around for 2hrs and he might put us on the next trip, which we did, but when my friend said 'come on, please let us on, I don't want to let my young son down after waiting all this time' he said that we were being arsey and he wouldn't let us on a boat. What a waste of not only £80 but a whole afternoon. Such a disappointing trip to Brighton and such a rude and hostile man. Not the way to run a business. read more

Awful! Called the number found where they Moor their boats to enquire if there were any trips. The man on the end of the phone was less than enthusiastic and said he "wouldn't bother doing a trip for less than £100.My friend pointed out that the 5 of us would cost over £100 but he still didn't seem keen but anyway we booked a trip for a couple of hours later. my friend told us his attitude so we decided to cancel so immediately text him to say no thanks. The man called back and said "abput this boat trip you have cancelled, you better not be going on a different boat!" I was so really surprised but said that no that the for ends who were going to come wouldn't make it. To my total shock the man them shouted down the phone "YOU ARE A FU***NG NUSENSE! I was so taken aback I couldn't even respond and the man hung up! Shocking customer service totally rude and would never recommend them. read more

Nice chaps and very relaxed. Had a grand trip out, was hoping for the powerboat ride, but it was rough enough for people on the standard 45 min trip. Good fun and reommended. read more
