For years this was the place, to get UA and other hoodies for my son. Also this is where dad could score deals. My last visit here on Friday was interesting. First of all their stock of clothing was low quality, and their prices weren't all that competitive. It's cheaper to order online, when gas prices are high. I found the few employees to be kind, but the store leaves a lot to be desired. Then again this strip mall has characters. Was panhandled four times in under 20 minutes. As usual my offer for food or job applications were turned down. Parking in here is treacherous. Be very careful as it reminds me of driving in Boston. Lack of cashiers at every Ross. You have to deal with long lines. You stand in the checkout line longer than you are in the store to shop. The Stores are always a mess, disorganized and poor customer service. Workers do not engage or assist you. I have experienced this is several Ross locations through out the DMV area. If I could give this store a zero I would. I had not shopped there in years. However, today I decided to go. Very disappointed. The store is a HOT mess. When I went to use the restroom it had a stench and worst thing is that one of the associates told me it didn't have toilet paper. Why are they not paying attention to those details. This store is the worst! After trying on ONE item, I come out and my cart full of random clearance junk is gone. After asking several workers, including the "manager on duty, " who happened to be standing next to me, they all seemed annoyed that I was talking to them...the only answer was "maybe somebody took it." I think my cart no longer being there established that, but the fact that it was a cart full of random things made it unlikely that said person would need the same size kids clothing, solar lights, bug collection kit, etc...and no one could confirm if a worker took it and put it somewhere else...I wasted a good 20 minutes waiting to speak to people who responded to my question with a shoulder shrug. I like Ross. What I like: I appreciate it for their super cheap prices. I found some cute work outfits for very reasonable prices. What I don't like: For some reason, their outfits are very very repetitive. Like you can find the same type of dress in multiple colors and designs but still being...almost the same? While that may seem convenient... it really limits your options. Organization is not their top priority. Things are kinda hung in random places. My suspicions of Ross Dress for Less were correct. Great low prices for low-to-mid-range and generic clothing brands but no high-end designers. A survey of the handbag section was enough to confirm this - plenty of Tommy Hilfiger, Ralph Lauren, Nine West, Liz Claiborne, Kathy Van Zeeland. This store was messy and picked-through. Not a comfortable environment to bargain hunt in. I wasn't expecting to find anything but left with a $3 french manicure polish set and a $20 knit dress by Necessary Objects (the affordable knitwear/sportswear for juniors that can be found in all major department stores). The dress wasn't a deal by any means but I love the material and fit. Ross cannot compete with Filene's Basement, TJ Maxx or Marshall's in the way of luxury brands. If you're in Landmark Plaza for Lollicup or Rita's Ice and you have some time on your hands, you should pop by Ross to see what you can find. Otherwise, it's not a destination in and of itself. read more

The line to pay is completely ridiculous! I got in line at 9:15pm with 2 items and waited 45min to check out. As soon as I walk up to pay (at 10pm closing time) another cashier opens up, the line has now doubled from were I started. They do have a better selection then other Ross stores I've been to but be prepared to wait in line forever! read more

Ross is a favorite of mine, although I have yet to find a good purchase here, drawing room staff always is rude for some reason(definitely not happy to be working) shoe area is always a mess, constantly spilled bottles and broke items in beauty and homeward. I'm not a huge fan of Ross in general (I prefer Marshalls & TJ Maxx brands) but this location has a small maternity section. I was able to find maternity tanks, tops, dresses, jeans, shorts and leggings. They had a few things from GAP Maternity, but it was mostly stuff I didn't recognize. Still, it's great to have an option for cheaper maternity clothes in the area. read more

This place is a disorganized mess that is run by rude staff. It's not worth the effort to find a cheap trinket or two and then wait in a long line because they do not place enough rude cashiers to man the front. It's a headache to come here just to be let down. read more

Selection is decent and prices are better than Marshall's next door, but the help is rude, rude, rude. One employee in particular was very nasty to a customer who asked for help finding something. "They're over there. We have a lot of them over there. You just have to look," she said as if she were chiding a 5-year-old instead of a 50-something-year-old customer who supports the business. If that poor customer had been my mother, the clerk would've gotten an ear full. While I was trying on clothes in the dressing room, somebody took the non-clothing items I had left outside the dressing room, where the attendant told me I could leave them. When I came out and they were gone she just shrugged. I asked her why she told me to put stuff there and she shrugged again. Really pissed me off. And Ross lost a sale because I would've spent 50 bucks more on the missing stuff. Also the line was super, super long. The check-out clerks were efficient but also were rude. One shopper asked a clerk for her opinion between two different items and the clerk sounded annoyed and said "It's your preference. I can't tell you that." When the same clerk waited on me later she didn't talk to me the whole time but instead talked to a neighboring cashier and then just stuck out her hand for my money. A little customer service training would go a long way at this place. Will I go back there? Probably. It's super close to me and the prices are good. But would I recommend it to anybody else? This Ross is by far the worst Ross I've ever been to. Not only is it dirty and grimy inside, the selection is horrible. Not to mention there's nowhere to sit when trying on shoes - not one bench or mirror or anything. The shoes are all tied together at the front with a giant lock holding them together. I understand theft prevention but how am I supposed to try on the shoes & walk around in them to see if I like them? Needless to say, I passed on three pairs of shoes that I liked simply because I couldn't walk in them and had no idea if I'd like them or not. There were also various security employees (or whatever you'd call them) following me around as I looked through the shoes. Very disturbing and distrustful - not a fan at all. read more

Ross needs a better setup for customer returns . It's ridiculous that you literally have no customer service desk for returns.

I love Ross but I am so disappointed with their customer service at the landmark Location. The cashiers are so rude and look so miserable. I was there yesterday evening. I grabbed a sweater and went over to the register where there was one cashier with one customer. i didn't think it would be so bad so i just stood there waiting on the cashier to call me up, i entertained myself with my phone but after a while a looked up to see why it was taking so long. i literally waited about 15 minutes before the cashier called the supervisor to resolve an issue she was having with the costumers payment. i was going to say something when she saw my frustration and asked her supervisor to help me out because i had been waiting for a while. The supervisor called me up never said a word, she didn't apologize not even a greeting as if i was inconveniencing her. I noticed that the customer before me had a huge order. i think the cashier should have called for back up as soon as she saw everything this lady was buying. or at least acknowledged me or offer an apology for making me wait so long. read more
