The shopping was fine, cashier was good, but some woman standing upfront stopped me and told me to put the basket back while I had my hands loaded stuff. She was not kind, gracious or forgiven. They need to fire her and hire alittle better person to bark orders at the customers and staff.. Good Riddance. Sad store. read more

I was going to give this location 3 stars as its overall condition seemed to be a notch below its nearby competition however upon reflection I spent more here than I did at the nearby competition so how can I give it fewer stars? The one thing which shocked me at this location is that you can use shopping carts to shop inside the business however you cannot take the shopping cart to your car---so if you purchase a large size/amount, you either have to carry it out to your parking space or maybe move your car to the entrance to assist with getting your purchases in your vehicle? I guess this is more of a reflection of Baton Rouge than of this establishment however this was the first time I experienced this and it was surprising to me nonetheless---that said, I do recommend that you shop this location. read more

I LOVE this store, anytime I pass by one I've got to STOP . The Prices are Great & you do get Great Value for the Money. Selection is mostly Great. There is no service unless you're at the register. ALL IN ALL A GREAT PLACE TO SHOP for ALMOST EVERYTHING. read more

This is a good Ross but honestly, I could but some the furniture at Hobby Lobby for less. On the other have, THE DRESSING ROOMS WERE OPEN! Halloween was here. I did get some fun shopping in and got somethings I needed. I found some cute Halloween signs to decorate my store (not for sale). I got a really cool trash can, toilet paper holder, etc. I'm totally pleased with my haul. read more

I absolutely LOVE Ross!!!! I wish there were locations every mile or two. I shop here for EVERYTHING; home decor, clothing, jewelry, watches, linens, etc. Ross also carries tons of snacks and desserts. In fact, some garage sales are more organized and have better quality items than this store. Beware, when you are buying some of their boxed food items, please check the dates! I have seen many expired items (ie: cookies, candies, baking mixes, etc.). The deals... as Shania Twain would say "that don't impress me much". If you get annoyed as much as I do to see ripped packaging, dented boxes or faded labels, then DO NOT shop here. I only spent 5 minutes in here. It's a grungy TJ Max. I think it's funny that they have a long pole on the buggies so no one can take them out of the store. I haven't shopped through the clothing section, nor the rest of the store other than home decor. It looks similar to the arrangement at a Good Will store, so you'll need some time and patience to find what you're looking for. But I've got to say that they have a lot to offer in home decor and they're decently priced. I've found mirrors, paintings, metal wall decor of matching and various designs, all for a good price! However I do not appreciate how you cannot take the carts out of the store! Daniel M. greatly compared them to children's bumper cars and he is absolutely right. The last time I went, it was raining. This store has a lot of hidden gems if you have the time and patience to look. Lines are almost always a maze through the store, but it's worth it when you can go home with your prize at a discounted price. My purchases range from forty to sixty percent off. Worst costumer service ever! Every associate is rude, and even the fitting room associate asked me to put away my own clothes. I felt as if I was a bother to be in the store, like I was bothering the associates. At checkout, I again seemed like I was bothering the worker as I waited in line for approximately 15 minutes. I love the store and the product, I understand if the store is messy because of the popularity, but I can not tolerate rude/mean workers! read more

If you're willing to look you may find something. I'm not sure what, but you'll find something. If you crave neatly stocked shelves, and aisles that are tidy this store is not for you. Many items are broken, misplaced, and one of one. So if you see a really cool pillow hang up any thoughts of finding a pair. On Tuesday night 4/24/18 my mother and I were shopping. Keep in mind, we live an hour or more away and I shopped there the night before spending over $190. I purchased (9) items in the store this second night and my total amount was $230.00. The merchandise included : clothing, shoes, jewelry and furniture. We were the last customers to check out and the car had to be pulled up in front of the store to put the desk on the back seat. My mother and I had trouble placing the desk on the back seat of the car, due to how the legs were shaped and it did not want to fit in the car. We tried several ways to position the desk, but could not get it to fit. The store was closed and my mother knocked on the glass to inform the associates that the desk could not fit on the seat of the car and we asked if we could leave the desk and pick up in the morning. Everyone was ignoring us and one of the associates said that the store was closed, the register was down and no money could be refunded. We did not want money back, we wanted them to hold the desk until the next day, so that it could be picked up by a truck. Finally, everyone came outside to exit the store, they acted as though we didn't exist and I called out to the manager again and she rudely replied "it's against store policy" and hauled off to the parking lot with no concern. All of the associates went to their vehicles and we continued to struggle with the desk . One of the Associates came to the car and began assisting us and the bench was successfully fitted on the back seat of the car with her help. It's sad because we're all of the same race and no one cared except that one nice associate who assisted. I spend serious money at this location quite often. I'm a business owner and I never present poor customer service to my clients. It's very few times I run into a nice associate at this location, it's always negative vibes . I feel as though if your job upsets you that much, find another one or increase your education for better! read more

I love Ross because you can always find random things (especially kitchen stuff) that you need at really good prices and also name brand clothes at really good prices. What I don't like is the disorganization. I've been to Ross stores in other cities and I know that it IS possible to keep stuff organized and on the racks at all times. When I walked into the one in Philly it was like I was in Macy's or something. (Well let's not go that far.) Don't get me wrong I still saw clutter but I also saw a couple of employees going around picking stuff up off the floor. There were several security guards in the store so maybe customers were less likely to open things, throw things on the floor, try shoes on and leave them out etc... Maybe the one here just needs more employees. Actually I know they need more cashiers because last time it took me 15 min. just to check out! That was my fault though because I went on the weekend instead of during the week. I've never had a problem with the employees so that's a plus. Regardless, they have good name brand perfume/cologne, shoes, purses, bath towels, socks and clothes so I'll keep shopping here. The disorganization is worth me saving $30 on a pair of shoes or me getting a name brand shirt for $10 just because it's "out of season." My first choice will always be shopping at Ross stores in other cities because for some reason I've noticed that they're more organized than this one. read more

I don't usually shop here, but I went here today to buy some sheets I needed in a pinch. Ended up picking up some other stuff I wanted. I had a cart full of things. I needed the cart to carry it all out to my car. I was told that I couldn't take the cart out the door but I could leave my things on the curb. Customer service here is horrible (note: no one offer to help me out to my car). Why bother providing a service or a product if you are not going to provide a way for the customer to get that product out your store door? Ross' policy, is obviously, once you've made the purchase, the customer service ends there. Had I been informed of their cart policy before I walked into the store, I probably would have gone to the Target next door instead. I WOULD NOT suggest you shop here or at any Ross stores ever, as it seems to be a corporate policy according to the manager, who I went back in and talked to (after dropping my things in the parking lot multiple times -- thanks to the family who helped me carry my stuff to my car!) read more
