Ok, for as badly as I want to give this place 3 stars, I'm giving it 2. Here is why... I come here a whole lot. Why? Cause the truth is, you can find cheap things here. If you're like me and only wear things once and gift them then yes, you want to find cute pieces that you can wear once and throw out. It's the era of social media! You can't possibly wear the same thing twice? Or can you? Perhaps you can but, I don't! So, I frequent any place that has a bargain! Yes, that is right.... Ross is your Local discount department store. It's dirty, it smells, you have to have patience while shopping, isles are cramped, it's disorganized, and plainly put.... it's a hot mess! However, I've learned if you come late at night when the monsters are out to play it is EMPTY! Yes!!!!! They close at 1 a.m. you can shop and still make it to the club! Or to your bedroom! Wink! The customer service is always bad. The security greets you as you walk in. Not sure if he is supposed to scare you as you walk in or not but would make sense to have security walking around watching people pop off sensors but hey that's none of my business. I came here a few months back for a luggage and it had a visible scratch, the lady acted like she owned the store and wouldn't discount the luggage. I didn't understand. Oh well! Win some, lose some. This review is more on how they're handling COVID and not so much the store. I was driving home to San Diego and I saw the store so I stopped by. Long story short, I had to return a small salt and pepper set and after I handed my item to the cashier, she went and pulled out a sanitizing wipe and wiped the box down. Also, she had put on new gloves before and after my transaction! I don't know if this is how this area is handling things, or maybe just the store, but kudos to the employee on being safe and clean! :) read more

My mom, my gf, and I decided to drive over to the east side as this is my moms favorite Ross location! We needed a day of shopping away from work and college. When we arrived, we were immediately greeted. The store over all was very clean and organized. They had a great selection...maybe a little toooo great because we ended up spending $500! LOL. We were able to find very nice winter jackets that we needed for our trip to New York. I also found some very nice Michael Kors shirts a king with so much more! No wonder this is my moms favorite location! read more

It's just regular Ross. Messy and unorganized. Aisles are too narrow for their carts. Unfriendly staff. Nothing new. I still come here sometimes though. They have very cheap workout clothes. I bought two Nike shirts today and the total was $17. That's the only reason I'll give 3 stars to this place. They do have some named brand stuff but I prefer not to buy any here. I almost bought a pair of MK sandals here today because they were only $55. But you could see they were kinda dirty and so many people have tried on so I decided not to. All the previous reviewers are accurate - aisles are tiny - you can't fit two people down one row, so forget about taking your cart down the row with you! Leave it at the end of the aisle and hope your stuff is still in it when you get back! Inventory is well stocked if you are prepared to dig through it. Mentally prepare yourself! Checkout lines are very long here and expect to hear crying/screaming children because most people shopping here bring them with them to shop - crazy! That being said, they did have some great finds. A kitchen mat that I needed was available here and there were several options. At the ones back home there are very few options as they are all bought as soon as they hit the floor or else are not as well stocked as in this area! The only reason I came to the store was to purchase something,that as far as I know, was only available here. Otherwise I would not have come here specially after the way I was treated. The place is somewhat tidy but given the kind of store that it is it is a little frazzled. That being said so are the employees unfortunately. I did find some additional items, other than the ones I came for, that I thought were at a reasonable price not exactly what I would call a good price. I Purchased a couple of chairs and a very nice wall hanging picture. But the process to get that done was somehow difficult for the employees. After asking three people to see if I could get some help so I could make a purchase they just passed the buck to someone else. It was a little discouraging. As it was they were not that many employees on the floor that you could call on. They seem to be hanging out near the front doors. Their loss and prevention people or another word for them would be security was absolutely no help. After walking up to the cash register's near the front doors I spoke to I think was the manager. And told her about my situation. She did finally after grudgingly closing her cash register said that she would come help me. Instead of using a dolly to carry the chairs she actually pick them up and carried them to the front herself. I thought this was rather precarious and could possibly be harmful given that they were also quite a few children running around the store. Nonetheless she managed to get both chairs up to the front. After spending almost $300 I mentioned to her that I needed to pull my car up to load them up. I did so and asked one of their security guards to please just watch my car. He was very adamant about not leaving his post which was 10 feet away from the door. Because the trunk of my car was open I told him all you have to do is watch my car. He said he couldn't do that, that he could not leave the store. I said that's fine if you could just stand here and keep an eye on my car. He said but if something happens I can't go out and stop somebody I have to stay in the store. I said that's fine if something happens just let me know I'll be 15 feet away,which I actually was. I picked up one of the chairs and walk towards the double doors and didn't even get a friendly or a courtesy hold the door open. Carrying the chair iwas not difficult but it was large and bulky which made it a little bit challenging. But yet none of the employees offered to hold one or two of the doors open. I went in for the second chair and experience the same situation coming out. Even though the security guard was only about 5 to 7 feet away. I loaded the chairs in the car and was happy to get away from this unfriendly, uncourteous, environment. I thought that after spending about $300 in this place I could've at least had warranted a -yes sir don't worry I'll just keep an eye on your car statement or let me hold the door open for you. Instead I got nothing. Unfortunately this store lacks in Customer Service, Friendliness, courteous nature, and even respect. You know I don't mind spending my money at a place that shows appreciation for me being there and goes out of their way to express that by being courteous, kind, helpful, and respectful. This store and it's employees lack all of that. I will not be coming back here. And I will not recommend this store at all. read more

I don't enjoy going to this store. It is always a mess, with clothing and items all over the floor and kinda thrown around the place. The only reason I gave it a second star is because my wife likes shopping here because she can find decent clothes dirt cheap. read more

I agree with a few of the other post. This ross is often overcrowded and feels unorganized. the isles are very narrow. It's the only Ross I've found in my area so it's my only choice right now. I have found some great things when I'm in the mood to hunt and deal with the crowd. read more
