Loss prevention at this ross has to be the worst part of the store. A short dark skin lady, didn't even get her name, was on the phone while she approached a grown man btw. She went on the assume he was gonna steal a toy he was fidgeting with while he was INFACT with his mother just waiting. The toy was opened already by a previous customer and was just left there so he was just distracting himself while waiting. She then decided to snatch it out of his hand and walk away like she owns the establishment. Ross needs to either get the loss prevention team in check before a customer does it first. Not even just that, she was FOLLOWING him around. Ross, get it together.. Yall hire people that don't get paid enough to be doing what she did because it was weird and so were her assumptions. read more

True Life: I'm addicted to Ross. I've been lost in the dark tunnel of youtube and have come across a few channels that outline the crazy markdowns a few stores do throughout the year. Ross happened to be one and holy crud they weren't joking. Being able to snag tons of items for .49 for holiday decor and then picking up Calphalon pans for $1.99 in another sale. It's insane what you can pick up here. They don't promote these markdowns publicly so it's a matter of luck. Even outside of these crazy sales, I always find some awesome markdowns to snag and take home. read more

Kisha is one of the worst managers I've ever encountered at Ross Uptown New Orleans on Claiborne Avenue. In 100-degree weather, she told me I had to stand outside due to previous issues related to loss prevention. I was left confused and frustrated by this experience. I strongly advise others against doing business at this location. read more

I stayed in New Orleans with my wife and her family for two years we would shop here regularly and let me tell you this store is a piece of work. The store is very unorganized, the line is always long , they never have enough registers open the managers and cashiers are very rude they talk to you crazy like you are not a human being. I also have witnessed that all they hide and stash merchandise. It's bad enough they have customers coming to steal. They should do better! read more

This location is new-ish (within the last 5 years, this entire shopping center was built), and surprisingly neat and clean. There is plenty of parking in front. This is near the middle of the strip mall. I am sure near the holiday season, parking will get tighter, as well the cleanliness of the store will deteriorate. I am rarely asked if I need help when I am at this location, though it is easy enough to find what I am looking for here. Customer service at check out is efficient enough, but nothing outstanding. Don't expect the cashier to make much of any conversation or to be quick. Go to the location in Metairie. It may be a bit of a drive, but there are more employees for assistance and parking isn't as restrictive even during peak shopping times. read more

I work and live minutes from this Ross location and I try to support the shops within my immediate community neighborhood as often as possible. I just have to share that whenever I come here the wait in the line is 35-40 minutes. It's absolutely ridiculous that the folks who live close to this shop have to experience this every-time we come to pick up something. We should not have to travel to Metairie or the West Bank to get equity and descent customer service. What is the issue at this location that there is always 1-2 cashiers. Whom is the general manager and how can I personally support you in making this shopping experience worth our time? I genuinely feel that this make absolutely no sense to have continued for such a long period of years at this location. Is there regional management that can help with the store layout and the checkout process? I love Ross. I have been shopping at various locations for years, before they were in the New Orleans area even, when I lived in central Texas for a hot minute in the 1990s. I LOVE ROSS. This location though...kinda weak. Weak selection with lots of half empty racks. I have only encountered nice folks working there, but I don't often find that they stock this location as well as the suburban locales. I'll keep trying though. I finally managed to visit this Ross. I drive by it almost every day and hadn't checked it out yet, but I needed a dress at the last minute and I thought I'd give this store a try. It's not a huge Ross, so inventory is limited. Having said that, I was able to find what I needed and only for 9.99! The employees I interacted with were friendly. The only thing I had an issue with was approaching the entrance from Claiborne; I didn't realize that you couldn't turn into the lot from Claiborne. But now I know. This is the tidiest, cleanest Ross with the most cute stuff I have ever visited! I have terrible taste in clothing and needed something better than what I brought with me on this trip for my dinner at Arnaud's with friends. I couldn't decide so picked what I thought was the worst, most garish and awful thing on the rack in my size -- and six people at Ross said "That looks REALLY good" and my friends were even impressed. I guess that's my new strategy - pick out something I think is terrible and other people will like it. I guess we can't always wear free tshirts and cords! It took a little long to check out but I was there right at closing time. Store is always a mess every time I go there with clothes all over the floors and racks so tightly packed by the jeans, it's hard to look for something you might like. The lines were ridiculously long and slow and the fact two of the cashiers left to go handle a singular cart of returns while socializing with each other instead of working through the huge line and leaving only ONE person to handle more than 15 people in line is very annoying from a customers point of view. I was in the line for 10-15 minutes and only moving up twice and unfortunately I couldn't wait any longer and just left my stuff without purchasing anything. Seems they just hire anybody or not enough there. Only thing good I would say about the place is the good prices and greetings when you walk in by the security. read more

Yay! Finally a Ross on the Eastbank! Now if they could just open one in Metairie...lol.. I have been needing some new sunglasses, so I popped in here for their grand opening. Being that it had only been open for one day, they had a good amount of inventory out. It's like any other typical Ross. They carry brand name clothes, shoes, jewelry, luggage and home goods all for less than the regular retail price. It was very crowded when I stopped in, but I expected that. They will need to get their kinks worked out for the checkout lines. The parking lot doesn't seem like it will be adequate for the volume of cars that you would expect from all of the big name stores that are opening here. Hopefully it will all work out. read more

Stay away from the cashier Monet. She will clock out in any second and lacks professionalism. She priced an item incorrectly and refused to change it and argued it down even after being told by her colleagues it was the wrong price. I have been patronizing this Ross for years and never encountered such rude behavior from an employee. The manager and the security guards are always nice. Hopefully she gets the help she needs.
