You know I love shopping here for a good deal on brand name items, but what needs to change is how many employees they actually have out on the floor. The sections are cluttered horrifically, with things all over the place and floor making it hard to have a clear walking path, especially with a baby stroller. The other negative is that they typically have one cashier open, yes with looooong lines, it's so bad! Occasionally you'll see them finally open up a 2nd cashier but the wait for the line goes down more than half the store and you're stuck there waiting. read more

I've been coming here for years and today was a horrible experience they have all the blue containers stacked all the way up and an employee bumped the containers full of items while passing by with a clothes rack she knocked the boxes on my shoulder it hurt so much she never looked up at me or said sorry at all how can someone do that and not feel any responsibility to apologize or even look at me. My shoulder is still hurting! I'm sure they have the incident on camera! I know things will keep falling especially when everything is stacked up like that but for the employee not to even acknowledge that she hurt me is a very big issue! Stay out of Erika's line. She was incredibly rude. She said "next, right this way" so I followed her.. she walks right past the register and starts hanging up "change of mind" clothes on a rack. I aimlessly stood there for about a minute while other checkers took other customers. I eventually said to her, "where am I supposed be?" She looked annoyed, walked to the register (I was standing near) and extended her hand to start my purchase. Even after the transaction, she said nothing. Horrible employee. This location is fairly disorganized. While many consumers may frequent this establishment for the deals and may be able to look past the clutter, it makes it difficult to find the exact items one seeks. For example, I came here to purchase mens trousers 32×30. The section in which mens trousers are held was in disarray. There were size 32 in the 34, 38 section etc. Accordingly, if a customer is attempting to purchase an item and get in and out, this might not be the ideal location for you. Once I found the item I required, I was able to ckeck out within about 6 minutes. I accredit the speed of this transaction to the time of the day in which I visited this establishment. There is a sales Associate who works @ the register named Ester who is Awesome!! You should see her in action..she has a system that is great w/ keeping the customers moving quickly & getting them checked out. I have yet to see any other Ross cashier work like she does. And this store location is also very big & clean, which not all Ross locations are. The customer service is AWESOME-SAUCE!! Just walking into this Ross location today I was greeted w/ 3 separate "welcome to Ross" by 3 separate employees..I totally felt welcomed :-).. I definitely prefer this Ross location over others. It's usually pretty clean, the customer service is way better than other locations, and they consistently are restocking their shelves. This Ross has a nice selection that isn't picked over and they have different stuff than the Austin locations. They also give you plastic bags since it isn't in Austin. Their shelves are stocked and everything is nicely hung on the correct racks according to sizes. Normally in Ross locations they can't keep up with everyone searching through and throwing things everywhere but, at this location they can. I was lucky enough to find a pair of boots that I loved in my size! They also had a ton of home goods type stuff and I bought a new rug for my bathroom at a ¼ of the price! I call this winning! The customer service at this location is severely lacking. After checking out I attempted to take the cart to my vehicle because I wasn't able to carry everything that I bought by hand alone. Unfortunately they placed poles on the carts that do not allow you to take the carts out of the store. This is fine because shagging carts in the summer heat is something no one wants to do. But my issue is when the greeter and other employees didn't offer to help me in any way to take my items to my vehicle. Wouldn't even let me use a handheld basket! They literally stood there watching me struggle. So don't overbuy if you are alone because you will have to carry everything by hand yourself while the employees sit and watch. My English is not good and we feel very discrimination service with Wanda (ross supervisor) when we paid she was very rude and ugly with us. My mom is senior and she needs buy one luggage. I hold the luggage for my mom (because I take care her) and she said that I can't help my mom and i had change of side. I said ok. My mom paid. This isn't our first time here and it's our last. I habe a one year old and I used there restroom. There was blood in the restroom, I mean walls, seat, and changing table. Yes the changing table. If you want discount clothing, avoid this place if possible. I don't review big box stores, but this place was horrible. Mew stopped in to buy sheets for my son's new bed before heading to Ikea, and though they'd only been open an hour, the place was disgusting. I guess they hadn't cleaned the night before and we're just now getting around to it? There was one guy with a dust mop going around, but he was leaving piles of debris and dirt just sitting in the isles. My husband had to use the restroom and was relieved to see a janitor exiting just as he went in, but then found all of the toilet paper being used to cover a mound of feces on the floor. Worst Ross ever! For customer service. Not that you can get amazing service at Ross but this Ross takes the cake! I've been to Ross all around Texas. This is the worst! I walked in with a bottle of water bc it is 112 degrees outside w heat index and immediately the ladies that work there with security yelled loudly no drinks in here you got to go! I was appalled at the delivery. There are no drinks allowed where I work either but we tell people a lot nicer !! The security guard was so rude! I turned around and walked out. Latter on that day I walked in with out a drink ! And the same security guard was telling at everyone who was walking in with beverages the same way I couldn't believe it so rude! Then she began telling the new security guard how people are so rude and let there kids run all over and just going into a long story about an incident early on that day . I was like wow they are talking crap about customers so loud !!! Even another lady who was working the cash wrap was so loud up front and ghetto I thought she was drunk for a minute. I asked her for a price check on a towel bc they while set was in clearance but but tagged and she gave me the whole no immediate response they are not then scanned it and was like oh they are. !!!! The whole store needs new staff. I guess it starts with the managers they are the ones hiring the ghetto super rude staff!!! The only lady who seemed nice and professional was the new security guard. I've lived in this area for over 3 years and have come to this store about a dozen times. Each time has proven to be a disappointment. The store associates are not professional in their manner, dress, or especially behavior and speech. They yell loudly across the store, curse, and don't seem to greet customers very often. Recently, I purchased some housewares and was standing in line. One cashier was up front and asked me if I was purchasing or returning. I specified returning. She asked me to move to the other line, which no one else was in. She then did the same to the woman behind me. The cashier proceeded to just stand behind her register and not check either one of us out. We were the only customers in any line. Basically she asked us to move over a few feet so she wouldn't have to check us out. I spoke up and asked her where the other cashier was and she said in the back of the store and still just stood there. I asked if there was any reason why she couldn't check us out. She then appeared frustrated and agreed to check us out. Today, I came back to return an item. I stood in the line specified for returns and the cashier never called for me or for associate help, and kept checking out everyone else. A store associate walked by and didn't help either. Finally, I had enough and went to get in line behind numerous other people. I'm very thankful for a kind woman who noticed I had my infant with me who was about to start getting cranky and she let me go ahead of her. I wasted over 20 minutes in that store and it should have been a very quick visit. Another time, a woman who works the fitting rooms lost it. She verbally exploded at how people leave things in the rooms. Over and over, I've had bad experiences. A few times I wasn't even sure I felt safe because of the type of workers. I won't be back.
