Stopped in this store after years of not shopping here. First no one acknowledged me. Two ladies were by the check out talking. A few other ladies was in store. As I made my way to the jewelry still no acknowledgement of my arrival. I did find a pair of earrings. I approached the check out and these ladies are still talking. No hi, did you find everything, or any greeting at all. Customer service has gone down hill. Not sure who's doing the buying, but the clothes selection was dated. On a whim, I decided I needed a little retail therapy and popped on over during my lunch break. They weren't terribly busy but there were several groups perusing all that they had to offer and the staff took time to check in with each group to offer assistance. What do I love about Cato Stores? The organization and selection. It is so easy to glance through the store with a variety of offerings without being so jam packed that you can't find anything. The grouping of colors and collections make it extremely easy to put together an outfit without wondering what will or won't match, even for the fashion-challenged like myself. I went in for one top that I had seen online and ended up walking out with 2 new pairs of jean capris and 3 new tops - all for less than I might spend on one outfit elsewhere. Whether you have 30 minutes or hours to spare, Cato is definitely worth a trip for something new and fresh. read more

I went in today (August 23rd) to get some items for work. I hadn't realized this location was closing early or I would've stopped in earlier than I did. Regardless of how close I came in to closing, at no point did either the cashier, Debbie or the manager, Valerie rush me. Both of these kind individuals actively helped me look for non denim options, even suggesting I try on what they helped me find. Thank you both for your kindness, care, and professionalism. Mom and I went to Cato on Hwy 79 across from Walmart, in Round Rock today. We love shopping there because they have Misses sizes as well as plus sizes. They always have something cute to buy. I love this store! They have cute, on trend clothes for very reasonable prices. And they have them to fit plus sized women! Usually, us big girls can either look like grandma or look like a teenager, so it's nice to find grown up clothes that fit. And it's good quality too! I have things from here that have lasted for a couple of years and still look great! When you go, ask for Terri. She's so sweet and treats you like family. read more

The customer service at this store is outstanding. I was in here Sunday night and was helped by Sandy(I think??!.. I am not positive what her name was but she had dark curly hair. She was so friendly and talked to me about the sizes and the shirt I was deciding on. She made me feel welcome and happy. Tonight the young lady that helped me was Rosa.i came in 5 min before closing time to exchange a shirt. She was happy to help me, and didnt care that I was late. I am sure she was ready to go home, but she did not show it at all. She also answered my questions with a smile. In a world where customer service is hard to come by (unfortunately) it is wonderful to receive such outstanding customer service! I hope that these ladies get recognized as they deserve it. They are so friendly and I typically see the same faces working when I go in which makes it even friendlier to be recognized. They have good clothes and great, reasonable prices! Ok girls, if you want to look like a million bucks and still be on a budget, Round Rock Cato is the place to shop. Oh my gosh, their prices are so reasonable, you won't believe it! I have shopped there for years and so many people have never even heard of it. What??? This is Round Rock's hidden treasure. They are located at 4500 East Palm Valley in the strip mall behind Walgreens. They have sizes from 2-28 so there is something for every size and every style. Check it out and you won't be disappointed. read more

This is long but worth the read: In visiting Austin for 3 weeks with my husband who was on business trip, a friend from California recommended that I go shopping at Cato Fashions. I yelped the stores in the area and went 1st went to Cato's, 13000 N Ih 35, Store #1155. I was greeted, the store was slow and it took awhile for the sales rep & manager to warm up to me as I begin to shop and ask questions. Eventually they warmed up and were very pleasant to shop with. It was a good experience! I'll return here in the future to shop. Since they didn't have a top in my size and the sales rep confirmed its availability at another location nearby, I proceed to Store #1119 at 1030 Norwood Park. As I begin to shop I was finally greeted by a sales rep, #167 who was very helpful and nice. However, the manager on duty on 6/22/15 at about 6:30PM was unprofessional, mean and didn't say one word to me as I shopped, until about 6:45 she came over and told me roughly that the store was closing in 15min and with her demeanor she was indicating to basically hurry up and shop or leave so she could go home. I hurried and made my purchases with the kind sales rep #167 and departed. With the manager standing at the door to escort me out, it was I who had to say have a good evening, thank you! She barely muttered a word. I returned the next day due to an error of a double charge inadvertently made on my purchase. Again, upon my return on 6/23/15 at 2:00 PM the same sales rep #167 assisted me, corrected her error and apologized. She is a good asset to the store for customer service and going beyond for customer service. Once again, as I was looking for a specific item in my size she located the items at another store and had them hold the items for me. However, the manager on duty, whom I thought was a shopper didn't say hello or anything until after about an hour of my shopping when she rang me up for additional items I was purchasing. At that point she chatted and was kind. Now, I'm headed out to Cato's in Round Rock, store #1164 to pickup my items in my size that were on hold for me. As soon as I walked into the store, I was greeted with a "Welcome to Cato's." The sales rep retrieved my items on hold and I continued to look around and shop. Within about 10 minutes of my shopping the manager, Jasmine, Sales rep #104 greeted me, made me feel so welcome, offered to take my hand full of clothing to a dressing room to free my hands and all during my 2 hours shopping experience, assisted, chatted, suggested and went well beyond the call of duty in assisting me. Her heart and professionalism was truly genuine. I felt comfortable, relaxed, pampered and just at home shopping here as my first experience. The sales rep, Sara was also very sweet in assisting me and joyfully retrieved items high on the racks out of reach with enthusiasm. Jasmine and Sara are a great team. In coming to the Round Rock location which was 18 miles from my hotel it was so worth the drive. As well as coming to purchase only the 2 items I had on hold, I ended up purchasing 14 clothing items and 8 pieces of jewelry all because the employees made it worth me spending my money in this location. Besides, they are stocked and have a greater supply of different and additional clothing than the previous stores. If you want to shop at a Cato's here in Austin, I highly recommend the Round Rock location at 4500 East Palm Valley Blv, Store #1164. Their customer service needs to be recognized and rewarded for the consistent service they provided to all who entered the store. I will return to this location and the Ih35 location upon my return to Austin to shop for more beautiful, colorful, nicely made clothing. But the Norwood location is off my list! Again, the ladies, especially Jasmine at Cato's in Round Rock....Rock!! God Bless the establishment you work at and because of your service to me may you succeed beyond your expectations. My fiance and I went to shop for her a dress all over Round Rock. Five hours later we arrived at Cato's. After being greeted by the staff and we explained she needed a nice dress for Tuesday, an awesome associate took it into high gear and continued to suggest options and accessories for our event. Two associates were checking with us for fit and if she liked the look of the dresses. When they asked what the occasion was, I hesitated. They seemed so nice so I said my partner are going to get married. They lit up and said congratulations then we hugged. They understood about the Supreme Court's ruling and were sincerely happy for us. We wasted time at other stores. We will continue to shop there for all types of clothes just because you can get REAL CUSTOMER service!!! read more
