I'm here at Ross. I'm a male and I like using purses. I grabbed a silver colored bag located in the front of the store and decided to buy it. As I'm walking through the store one of the lost prevention workers followed me to the back of the store. He kept walking/following me like a shark around blood. I'm standing here now, angry and upset, because he asked me if I stole it after. I left the bag somewhere else while I did some more shopping. I'm grateful for Yelp because it lets me bring attention to this type of discrimination. He asked where I left it and said he wasn't implying that I stole it. I'm pissed and will be contacting corporate to make my voice heard. I'm Latino, a male and I have a voice and it's going to be heard. Next stop is finding this guy's name. Found the guy's name, called corporate and reported this guy's behavior and attitude towards me. Got a call from the store offering me the same bag which was seen on surveillance footage for half price; as much as I appreciated the offer, I really am grateful to have been able to do something about this. They promised that their staff would be better trained to approach these types of situations in the future. Thank you Ross! This Ross is pretty miss for me. As far as clothing goes its a big fat no. Never fond anything I had to take home here on the clothing end. Housewares is more promising, as well as the beauty section. I also fond some cute shoes here. They often have Steve Maddens for around 20 dollars. So that's a plus, but finding them in your size is always a let down. Boo! I did find an adorable Betsey Johnson makeup bag set here for under 20 that is normally 60 at Macy's. The purse section is here is still expensive, but lots of designers. I would say the Ross near Farmers Lane is better for clothes if that is what you are looking for. read more

The cashiers are very nice, though they do not ever seem to have enough of them. I guess this is an issue with Ross as a corporation not this particular store. Every single time I have been here the line has been as least 20 people long. The selection of items here is not as great as some of the other Ross stores around. But keep in mind it is a lot smaller. They have a good amount of clothing and kitchen ware however, the furniture, bedding and organizational items are minimal. There is often merchandise all over the floor, to the point where you can't take your cart through the aisle. I guess this goes back to the lack of staff. My rating would be higher if it weren't for the extensive amount of time you have to stand in line and the messy aisles. read more

Disgusting. Smells like B.O. And dirty shitty diapers. The shelves are always empty with random stuff placed randomly to make it look full. People coughing all over the clothes, little kids screaming and running rampant like it's freaking Chucky Cheese, rude adults crop dusting in the aisles (no it wasn't me! ) and nasty people blowing snot rockets and spitting in parking spaces. This Ross in Sebastopol seems the manager doesn't care at all I went here on saturday and they have only 2 cashiers and they have a long line 4 people already left from the line. That's a bad customer service otherwise Ross is always have a good deal. The Ross in Farmers Lane way better. read more

I was sitting in the parking lot eating my lunch from taco bell, when I was harrased by some very rude secuity gaurds. They told me "this is not a rest stop" in which I showed him the lunch I was eating and he still told me I had to go or he would call the pd. I wish I could give out 0 star to this locations( stony point road, Santa Rosa ). I 've been to Ross customer for more than ten years never have that problem before. refund the pants that have tags price on it. But the teller could not refund full price ( Store policy) . I talked to the manager. The first sentence he said was " I can't refund to you because you don't have receipt " that's so rude. It made me mad because I was expected to get refund in the same amount I paid. He said I might changed the tag before I got to there shop, that's why he can't return full amount to me. My original tags and the Ross tag were on without any ripped. He said people did that before. WHAT??? Can the manager said that to the customer? That's to the boiled point that I can't take anymore . I asked to show me how you get off the tag without rip apart. He ripped the tag price off the pants and Use the gun to put it back. I have nothing else to say . That manager doesn't know how to handle the customer service. I CAN'T CALM DOWN. I wonder why Ross pick person like that to be a manager for their store. Instead of solve problem but created more.... I am using my husband's yelp account, since I don't have one. Today, I was shopping at this Ross store on Sebastopol road today when a woman screaming for security said she had been groped by a man in the store. Three other women came forward that they too had been inappropriately touched by this man wandering around the store. What did management do??? NOTHING! The clerks just stood there like they couldn't hear her. She insisted on getting security. The security guy also did nothing. Everyone that worked there seemed to think it was someone else's responsibility. Since they weren't doing anything, another women in the store started yelling and chasing the man out of the store. I couldn't believe this was handled so poorly. Not only did this guy grope women but when he left, the door beeped (like he also stole something!) Why didn't anyone do anything?! I will never ever shop here again and if you are a woman, I strongly suggest that you be on your guard. read more

I was there today in line with eleven other people, one cashier and a "greeter" at the front door. This makes no sense. Why have employee's on the floor who can't help only say hello. I complained once I found a manager who stated "The greeter cannot operate the cash registers". A well run business has employees who can jump in at any time to help the customers, especially if they are trying to pay! I won't be back to this store. read more

This place is disgusting!!!! While shopping in the children's section I found two OBVIOUSLY USED items on the rack FOR SALE. These two items were covered in stains and had food crusted on them. Then to make matters worse when I found an item that I wanted to purchase someone had ripped the price tag off of it. I then took said item to an employee working the floor in hopes to get a price. No such luck! The only English the employee spoke was "No English". Are you kidding me?!?! Last time I checked we are in AMERICA!!! Yes, I understand that our town is mainly populated with Spanish speaking people but how do you get a job at a large retail store if you speak ZERO ENGLISH!?!? I like a good deal that's why I go to Ross but after today they have completely lost my patronage.
