Came in here to shop for clothes on my vacation only to be profiled because I have tattoos. I noticed the goofy little manager following me around while I'm minding my own business shopping. Then I heard him say to a girl worker in the store while pointing at me "Watch her. I don't trust girls with tattoos." He followed me through the whole store, all the way up until I was checking out. Messy store I wanted to find something and asked for help several times to 3 different employees. Then as I got tired of getting no help I noticed one employee going beyond to help a person of color I feel because I'm white I wasn't given any assistance what so ever! I love this store, and its employees. They are always so sweet to me. I go at least once a week. They have great deals on name brand shoes. They have an excellent selection of makeup, also name brand. I've gotten some awesome purses, home decor and bedding here as well. I'm a shopaholic and this is my go to store. They have a little bit of everything at great prices. But the real clincher is the staff. Last week I thought I had lost one of my AirPods. Was actually shopping online for a new pair when I walked in to Ross. I had been in there maybe 5-10 minutes when one of the supervisors--Phillip--saw me and brought me a piece of paper that had my MISSING AIRPOD taped to it and my name (they know my name!) written at the top. The general manager, Glenn, is the sweetest, kindest man and always makes a point to speak to me if he sees me. I don't know All of their names but Cora works Monday nights as cashier and she's so sweet. All in all, this is my very favorite shopping experience in Springfield. read more

I recently had the opportunity to visit the home of one of my aunts. She had the most magnificent accent pieces including Murano glass starfish and an adorable crystal French bulldog (random, I know). She swore she picked these up at Ross, for a song, and I have to admit, being a bargain shopper, I was hooked. While away from home, I saw that there was a Ross. I decided to give the Springfield Ross a try. Who knows, I thought, maybe the past problems I experienced were indicative of the Chicago North Park store. I did find some sloppiness and messiness. However, I was also better prepared for the hunt! I specifically quickly checked out a few items. They included winter coats( no luck), coffees (inexpensive Starbucks k cups were present), kitchen stuff (no!)and glass dodads. It did appear like shoppers had to be ready to paw through shoes and clothing to find much. I realize that many people enjoy this. Go For IT! Deals are awesome, I have no energy to join you but will cheer for your finds! I did score, big time. I managed to locate two large, matching Murano table vases. They were labeled as seconds due to a bit of color streaking but look beautiful (see pictures) ! They look perfect for seasonal decorations! Oh, to be clear, that's 2 for less than 60! read more

Wow...rough reviews for good old Ross. I have written reviews for Marshall's and TJ Maxx which are also owned by the same company as Ross. I love all three stores and if I were forced to rate them w/ highest quality being a "1" - I would rate it as: 1 - TJMaxx, 2 - Marshall's, and 3 - Ross. I have nothing against Ross, it just seems to be the largest clearance items. I love a good deal, so I have NO issue with shopping at the #3. They have many of the same brands at each store (ross, tjmaxx, marshall's) including Nike, Reebok, Puma, Adidas, Calvin Klein. I found some great buys on a sweater and a jacket this past weekend. It's like most stores - hit or miss on the deals. They also have Jessica Simpson shoes - I found an awesome pair of heels for $29.99! Can't beat that. As far as the store being a mess - that's the customers. People don't have to act like animals and throw clothes and bedding around like rabid beasts. Some people in stores just amaze me w/ their behavior. Love this store, but don't expect Nordstrom's "ambiance" because it is Ross and a discount store for Pete's sake! read more

Always find fantastic and good deals here. Just hate the messiness and unorganized looks of it. Clothes all over the floor and shoes. The bathroom always have a smell and a million flies. They need to hire more people to keep stuff more organize and clean. Look so ghetto everytime. I love Ross but it starting to look like a thrift shop. read more

Ross Dress for Less - Women's Clothing Near Me - Springfield, Missouri

I don't know if it was just because this place is new here or what; the store was very picked over, messy and some shelves were bare. The juniors section is just 4 racks (2 of tops, 2 of bottoms). The prices are comparable to Target or Gordman's. The real disappointment were the bathrooms, in a store this big, there should be more than 2 stalls and one sink. Will probably let the "new" wear off before I go back. read more

I shop at Ross all the time in Chicagoland. Love this store. I'm a curvy girl and was use to just being able to shop at Lane Bryant, the Dress Barn and spending a small fortune on clothes. This place has nice clothes and the prices are super super low. As for housewares and such, I will still choose Marshalls or TJ Maxx for that. My sister was trying on clothes. She is an XL and there was absolutely nothing for her. I guess it's hit or miss depending on your size. For me, I always can find a selection of very nice things that fit me, but I guess everyone isn't as fortunate. And how ironic is that?! This store was cleaner and more organized than the stores in Chicagoland. read more

Ross is one of my favorite stores to visit no matter what city I'm in because they always carry such a varied stock of items. I was so grateful that this location carries maternity clothing, because Springfield doesn't offer much in the way of fashions for the pregnant lady. Throughout the years, I have loved finding designer sheets and towels for my home, clothes for my children, kitchenware, and even toys at Ross. My husband has had very good luck finding shoes he likes at this Ross. The location is fairly clean and pleasant; but the wait to check out is always long, as they usually only have one register open up front, and one person floating around just in case. Also, I wish it wasn't so hard to navigate in and out of this particular shopping center. read more

The shoe selection was great here for men's. I am a sneaker collector, so I got lots of cheap sneaker pickups. Every time I have been here, I walk out with a new pair of sneakers! The selection really depends on when you go. They restock 3, 4 times a week, so lots of chances to get good stuff. I also found a couple pairs of Nike Elite socks and Stance socks. Customer service was pretty good, the employees seemed nice. If you are a sporty kind of person, like me, then this store is great. Also try T.J. Maxx, they have some good finds there, too. GO HERE!! I am writing to share my experience with this particular Ross store. I've been in the store many times with it left a mess, but today was my limit. I came to Ross on Glenstone on Wednesday, June 13, 2018. I was looking to purchase curtains. When I arrived at the curtain section, the aisle was filled with large hanger racks, which might I add, the small beads with labeled sizes are an extreme hazard to small children and they just leave these racks sitting about the store. Anyway- I had to move all of these 5 racks out of the way in order to see the curtains and with a baby and toddler that is no easy task. But, there was no one around so I didn't have much of a choice if I wanted to visibly see the curtain section. So I went digging through the huge mess of curtains and found some I thought may be perfect. Unfortunately once I purchased these curtains and hung them I quickly realized the security tag had been placed in a terrible location and the light was shining right through about 4 small pinholes between two curtains. So, this morning on June 14, 2018 I returned to the store to potentially exchange the curtains. Upon arriving to the curtain section I quickly realized I would have to move ALL of the hangers racks out of the way AGAIN! I mean seriously? Why are these being stored in such a terrible location??? Luckily, there was a sweet employee willing to help out and was already attempting to clean up the racks. She also seemed quite frustrated when I explained what had happened the day before. I explained my curtain situation to her and she noticed that MANY of the curtains had been pinned incorrectly. Which meant that many of the curtains would likely be ruined. Frustrated she called for the manager and explained everything. Unfortunately the manager just stood there. She didn't seem to have a care in the world. When I found some curtains that I thought would be a good replacement, we pretty much had to beg the manager to remove the incorrectly placed security tag to be sure there were no pinholes. It took her about 10 min to do that, which i thought was a long time considering it takes the cashiers maybe 5 seconds. Either way, I bought the curtains after she confirmed they were ok. Except, now that I am home and have hung the curtains, there are definitely pinholes. I am beyond frustrated at the lack of attention to detail, organization and safety. I will be returning these curtains, and while I love the great deals at Ross. I can no longer shop there given these circumstances. I will take my money elsewhere. read more
