Sorry to say had them come to do work and a very open estimate with little details left it to me to assume a switch would be installed to turn off and on my ceiling fan. They wanted another 1k to install. After paying a very large total for some work being done I thought that was wrong. read more

We had a sudden plumbing problem (aren't they all?) and a house full of guests (of course!!). I tried to fix it but was stalled and began reaching out to plumbers. I got a call back from Jonah, who's been a plumber for 19 years, and he spent a lot of time talking through the options. The valve is probably 12 years old and parts are difficult to get. While Jonah researched parts, I decided to work on it again, with a friend. Armed with Jonah's suggestions, I was able to fix the issue. Exceptional service and communication. And when there was a question about the final result, the manager (Ralph) left the office to look for himself. He quickly solved the problem (which turned out to be ignorance on my part). Ross was brought in my house renovation by a sleazy contractor; screw ups & huge over charges resulted Through this local yoga retreat I met/hired a contractor who's also yoga teacher, if "karma" is real they all get hit by lightning. This was supposed to be a small renovation on house I own. The contractor worked hourly & the bills & unauthorized demolitions became progressively more outrages until I finally thru him out after he charged me $2000 to "disassembled" a 10' sitting ladder sitting in my garden; I hadn't even requested he move it. Apparently after I thru him out he told Joel I wasn't keeping track of the bills due to a concurrent divorce. Ross Electric billed me again for the 7k of work they had previously billed me (I paid for) & another 2k for non existent work. If all that isn't bad enough they put in the wrong circuit for my washer dryer, misplaced parts from my new chandelier (claimed the parts weren't included, I subsequently found they'd misplaced) incorrectly marked the breaker box panel & incompletely protected the wiring for the deck lighting. read more

Never had any problems with Ross electric.Had them install my generator 5 years ago .

I'm really impressed with Ross Electric. I have a house out on the lake (nearly in the middle of nowhere) that I stay at for the summers. I just went home to get the house ready for the summer and my generator was not working properly. I purchased this generator on my own several years ago. New York can get some nasty storms so I wanted to get this taken care of right away. I spoke on the phone with a young girl named Jennifer who was beyond kind and extremely helpful. She then transferred me to Kenneth, the owner of the company who sent his team to replace my generator. I was really impressed with how responsive and quick they were. They taught me how to use it and being a single mother, I feel so much better knowing that we will be safe this summer. Thank you Ross Electric- I certainly will be using you again!! read more

Called for an estimate. Spoke for a half hour with Ross and explained project. E-mailed all info to help with estimate. Was told will get something back within a week. Waited 2 weeks. I called to check status of estimate and said they are too busy to help me. Glad they are so busy, but 2 weeks to tell me no??? Guess your business is more important than my business. read more

I had a fairly serious electrical problem my house...Only half of my house got power and the other half was only working on half power. I called Ross Electric when they first opened on Monday morning, spoke to Jen...she had someone at my house by 11 am! (That's service) The guy that showed up was very nice and professional, he even took his shoes off (he earned bonus points for that!). It took about two hours for him to get everything up & running normally again. I also asked them for an estimate on some additional work and it was provided within 24 hours. I have a cabin in the woods in sullivan county ,fairly easy to get to .last week my electric utility pole broke during a storm. I called Ross electric co. &they said that they would call me back.A day later when I called them again I finally got a call in the evening,I spoke to a guy named joel&he acted as if I was asking him for a favor,he even refused to go take a look at the pole!, stating that he has had these types of jobs before.Whatever that means?He also said when i come to my cabin give him a call &the would meet with me if he could.Joel left me hanging!
