I stopped in here over 20 yrs ago when I looked in and saw 30 businessmen eating lunch. I wasn't disappointed!! The food is fresh, no par cooked pasta/pizza. They've just added some new fresh fish/shell fish dishes. Their bucatini all' amatriciana is made with guanciale, not bacon or pancetta. Feel free to ask for something different or in addition to a specific dish. All of the workers are friendly and speak English if that helps you. I had a lobster/pasta dishes which included half a lobster that was already cracked for easy eating. It was delicious. Pizza was E7-E10 and pasta dishes are E8-E14. The special lobster dish was E18 which was a real bargain. Their also open for breakfast with multiple reasonable choices. Plenty of meat dishes and other choices for vegetarians. read more

This is the first American restaurant I came across in Italy. They serve gigantic American Burgers. If you miss American food, I highly recommend this place. It's one of those places that serves the food like it is in the picture! My bf ordered the top gun, and received a tower! Lol. The food tasted great, I had my first pasta here in Rome and the sauce was very rich. The salad only came with evoo and white vinegar for dressing, not sure if they have others, I didn't asked cause the tomatoes were so fresh and great by themselves. Stopped by here since we dropped our laundry off next door in the morning. There are seating inside and outside the restaurant. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a nice waiter. He let us choose our seat. When we ordered, my boyfriend wanted some sandwich, but the waiter recommended him something else. I ordered the scrambled eggs and Pancakes Frutta. The price was relatively cheap. The eggs were 3 euros and the pancakes were 5 euros. The food was good and we were satisfied! The waiter was really friendly and approachable. The thing I had a problem with was that my Pancakes Frutta took forever to come out. I think the waiter might have forgot I ordered it or something because there are no notepads, they memorize your order by memorization. read more

Love this place, ate there almost every night when I was in Rome. It felt like you were invited to someone's house to have a home-cooked meal. Everything was delicious. My wife's favorite was their artichoke dip (carciofi in salsa rossa). To this day she still talks about how good that was. I can't wait to go back, such great food and warm people. Ciao! read more

This place was next door to the laundromat by our hotel and we needed to kill some time so we ate here only because my son was dying for some type of American food and they advertised "American Breakfast". There were several other Americans in there so that was nice. My son ordered a waffle topped with fruit and instead received a waffle topped with Nutella & whipped cream which he gladly accepted because it was late in the morning and he was hungry. I ordered eggs and bacon. The eggs were over easy and the bacon was not cooked enough for me, but the meal itself was very flavorful. I also ordered a cappuccino & it was good. It would have been a five star breakfast if I had been asked how I wanted my eggs cooked and if the bacon was cooked thoroughly. * It should be noted that there were lots of boxes form a major food supplier like Sysco back home, so don't come here expecting homemade authentic food. read more

Thid was my first meal in Rome. Extensive menu offered everything in all of the courses. There were about five pages and too much to choose from. I ended up sharing a sausage pizza and ragu gnocchi with a friend. The service was good and the prices were reasonable but the food was just meh. There was barely flavor with each dish. I might have had high expectations for Italian food just getting off a long flight. I'll never remember where this place is even if I wanted to go back. In the end, it hit the spot. read more

Wonderful food! Definitely order a pasta dish (first) and a meat dish (second or third). My shrimp risotto was delicious, as was the other pasta that my companions got was delicious as well. For our main courses, we got sausage, pork Marsala, and chicken vino. Everything was beautiful! We also got wine and beer, and the server (whom I think was a manager, at least) playfully smacked at my hand when I attempted to pour my own wine. I loved it! The pistachio cannoli is AMAZING! The server was really nice, but the food was just okay. The Cacio & pepe barely had any cheese, so just tasted like olive oil, pepper and pasta. The beef steak and roasted potatoes were okay, but the steak definitely needed more salt, which I added to make it taste better. Came here for breakfast. The waffles looked and sounded amazing and I was craving one so I ordered one with marscapone and chocolate for €5. I was so excited and then it arrived... The marscapone was actually whipped cream and it had chocolate powder on top which is not what I expected. The waffle was cold and dense and not at all what I expected. Then I did a look around... Make waffles were in a box behind the counter, individually wrapped in a wholesale wrapper. They didn't even make them! Despicable considering how easy they are to make. The other people I was with were not impressed either. One got pancakes and we are pretty sure they were pre-packaged too. Go elsewhere for breakfast. read more

For our third dinner in Rome, we went to Rossi, a restaurant near our hotel on Via Palestro. Lindsay ordered the peperoni pizza (not meat, but bell peppers), I ordered the ravioli with spinach and ricotta, and we shared a half bottle of the house red wine. The food was very good, but the dessert was the star - Lindsay ordered tartufo di limoncello, which looked like a lemon tart surrounding lemon gelato surrounding a limoncello core. It was delicious. Meseros despistados! Service was sloppy but we enjoyed our first meal in Rome for the trip. Fresh pasta and bakery on-site.

We had been seated already and discovered that the restaurant had only 3 stars. We were pleasantly surprised to find an enjoyable atmosphere and satisfactory food. On top of it all, Rossi seems to be an actual family restaurant...how authentic! Tiramisu is average. 5 stars given because the restaurant doesn't deserve its current rating. We also notice the staff being friendly and accommodating towards an older gentleman with OCD, who they seem to feed often. read more

Amazing service, great desserts... pasta could be more flavorful if made a little bit spicy.

It wasn't at all good. We ask for some pizzas and we were surprised that this Italian restaurant makes worse pizzas than supermarkets! They served a whole capriciosa (eggs, mushrooms, artichokes and olives) with (without exaggerating) a slice smaller than a quarter of an egg, 1 small piece of artichoke and 2 half black olives. Not taking into account the fact that they were clearly just been pick out of the tin, it was really interesting how they could serve a pizza with only one slice of each ingredient on the menu. We also tried the diavola bit it was so hot i couldn't really taste if it was good or bad. The place and the service were all decent and nothing to complain about but they should learn how to cook from some of the restaurants near them. read more

The only reason this place gets one star is because our server Elias, was extremely nice, welcoming, fun, and overall didn't make this place suck. The food was okay when we had it- but then it made all three of us sick. This place looks like the nicer place in the entire block but the smaller restaurants ended up being soooo much better. Don't go here, it is a tourist trap. A short balding fat server was really rude and was angry that we didn't order more, complaining to his manager about our tables lack of comission for himself. He talked and used very vulgar language to us in Italian thinking that we wouldnt understand. Dont come here. read more

This place was a nice restaurant in our hotels neighborhood. It was not really upscale but comfortable. I had a salad which was good, but my pasta was very good. It was a rigatoni with mushrooms, peas, and bacon, I believe. I would go back although I have had better experiences. read more

What can you not like about this place? Have eaten there four nights in a row, about to be a fifth. Different meal each night and not a bad one yet. This is my first review, but for good reason. The food at this "restaurant" was abominable to say the least. This "restaurant" advertises itself as an establishment specializing in hamburgers and pizza. As I walked in, I was greeted by an average American styled restaurant scheme that had my hopes high. My family and I were just looking for a decent burger or an satisfactory pizza. It had been a long day. So, it took around 10 minutes for the waiter to come and take our order. However, the food came in under 5 minutes, yet this may have been the reason for its vileness. I ordered a pizza with spicy salami. My father ordered chicken with vegetables. My brother ordered a hamburger. When my order came, I was salivating over a good pizza I had waited all day to eat. When it came, it look like it had come out of one of those play doh toy sets. The cheese was half melted with what looked like raw salami. Already I was regretting my decision eating here. As I cut it up into bite sized pieces, I was met with this pungent, rotten smell coming from the cheese. Never before had I smelled something so disgusting and rancid in my life. I have had pungent smelling cheeses, but this scent made me sick to my stomach. The pizza itself tasted undercooked, rotten, and just downright nauseous. My brother's hamburger was dry and extremely bland. My father's chicken followed suit with this dry and bland trend. So, I hope this answers why I put restaurant in quotations at the beginning of my review. This establishment should not have the honor of being called a restaurant. In essence, do not waste your money on this restaurant. The restaurants around the area serve tasty, authentic food. However, if you would like to eat here, do not be surprised when you are served something foul, vile, and absolutely revolting. read more
