AMAZING!! Of all the restaurants, by far the best. The artichoke and truffle specialties were incredible. Truly the highlight of our dining in Rome. Service was top notch. Alina and Ahmed were GREAT!!! We only came because three Australians who were traveling during their summer break recommended it and I can't thank them enough. Dessert was the best ice cream and panna cota also. Quiet warm ambience.

Lovely Ambiance! We enjoyed the rooftop atmosphere during a warm summer night. We ordered tuna tartare, fettuccine ragu, and basil gnocchi- all very delicious! Service was great and attentive. I would definitely come again.

Overall we enjoyed our meal here. Hours were not posted, so we had to wait until they opened at 6:00 pm. The food was very good, but some of the menu descriptions were a bit off. Some of this was lost in translation, but other things were missing. For example, I ordered the steak tartare and it was supposed to come with some type of arugula salad. All I got was the beef and some herbs and seasonings to mix in. The waiter had to explain that their translation of scaloppine to scallops was wrong. In general think they are missing the mark just a little by trying to cater to Americans too much. I would eat here again, but I felt it would be good to know some of these things ahead of time.

Caprese.. fresh ingredients and good portion for one person!

Decent food, I had the caprese salad which was fresh and nice, but beware, they charge you for water because they don't have tap water!

Didn't get in our first choice, so landed here as the group was feeling famished. Seemed like this place is part of the hotel but it's not owned by them as I was told. The servers were courteous and food came out fast. Food prices also seemed reasonable, but do note that some of the servings are on the small side (big plate though). €2 per person charge on bread - but plenty of it and you'll need fillers if your order(s) didn't make you full. Still or hot water cost money unless you ask for tap. A better alternative is to get their house wine.

Wine was great and all the food was excellent.

Excellent for a intimate and quiet off-the-path meal. Come as you are and dress up if you wish. Gracious hosts and check out the hotel next to the Restaurant. The fettuccini was in amazing (small but excellent portion) salads were large. See Eric' one of the guys you may meet at the door. The menu is on the wall outside

The host was standing outside trying to gin up business. Very suspect, but we gave it a try. So glad we did.

We dined at Rossini on the last night of our getaway to Rome. We had intended going to a different restaurant, but they told us they were too busy so we came here instead. There wasn't a single table sat when we walked in which we didn't think was a very good sign, and the restaurant was part of a hotel. Not a classy hotel, but just a hotel. The decor seemed dated except for the black and white stills on the wall. Very cool. As we looked over the menu, I noticed that several more parties came in. All locals. Interesting. The later the night went, the more people arrived. All locals. I would never have guessed a hotel restaurant being a hotspot for locals. I ordered the 4 cheese gnocchi and the wife ordered spaghetti with marinara sauce. We both really liked our meals. We also both really liked our wine. We didn't touch the bread basket and unlike others, we didn't get charged for it so maybe they changed their policy on that. We chose to top of dinner with Tiramisu even though I don't really like this dessert. However, we figured we are in Italy, we should probably try it once. The tiramisu here was really good! I liked it so much I recommended it to some women who were outside looking at the menu when we were walking out. The restaurant is nothing special from appearance and doesn't have a grand entrance, but the food is great and so is the service. We were well taken care of for our finally evening in Italy.

A jazz club for American tourists…read more Okay, there was one Australian lady and a few Chinese. Everyone else was American. Prices are sky-high because this is a soak the tourist situation. Alexanderplatz which is the premiere jazz club in Rome charges $18 euros for a month membership - no cover after that - and $12 per drink. So once you have paid your monthly cover charge, you can hear all the jazz you want for free - or if need be for $12 euros a drink At Alexanderplatz, the performances are legendary with some of the most innovative and technically amazing musicians in Rome. We dropped over $150 euros at Gregory's. We got a perfectly reasonable yeoman guitarist. But nothing like the artistic lions that routinely perform over at Alexanderplatz. Now to be fair, we had dinner at Gregory's and we never eat at Alexanderplatz. The standard "sushi dinner" was perfectly reasonable yeoman sushi. There was so little of it that we both had to order a la carte dishes afterwards. The extra extras seriously expanded the final tab. * * * One argument in Gregory's favor: their bar is extraordinary. The bar at Alexanderplatz is mediocre. Gregory's charges top dollar for its bar offerings, but what they mix and what is in their bottles is worth every single euro they ask for. I would be perfectly happy to just go to the bar, and order a few premium beverages. I would hear my wallet cry. But I would know that I was drinking supremely well in return for my investment. Fortunately, the bar is downstairs from the club. I would not have to put up with the shenanigans in the club. * * * The problem with the club is the crowd. At most, one third of the customers are actually there to listen to jazz. The room is filled with tourists taking selfies. There are also hot-daters playing snuggle-buns. Many of them will leave mid-set so they can go back to the hotel. Gregory's is less about the music and more about selling happy memories of Rome. * * * Alexanderplatz gets a mostly Italian crowd. You are looking as musicians, music critics, academics, and all purpose artsy types - as well as normal Italian human beings who just want to hear fine music. The music is taken very very seriously. Yeah, there are usually two or three tables with good time Charlies who are doing the phone recording, party hearty thing. But this is 8% of the audience at Alexanderplatz as opposed to 70% of the audience at Gregory's. To be fair to the crowd at Gregory's, the music at Alexanderplatz is simply better. The jazz at Alexanderplatz is capable of transfixing even philistines with tin ears. Gregory's jazz doesn't put that much on the table. But the crowd at Alexanderplatz sets me up for listening to mystic, complex music with the highest level of attention and aesthetic receptiveness. The crowd at Gregory's just gets me irritated. * * * If you are in Rome with a hot date, go to Gregory's. Be prepared to shell out the bucks. * * * If you are in Rome with someone who can truly appreciate once-in-a-lifetime musical experiences, take them to Alexanderplatz. After you talk about the music for half an hour after the concert, You can still go back to the hotel. Just figure that the hotel will be the second best part of the night.

I ordered a split of Bolero even though it's hot, I wanted it with my gnocchi with black truffles. The gnocchi and the wine were both delicious. I also had ordered a salad to start. When they brought out my salad, it was huge and I remarked about how big it was and he said oh would you like a smaller one and I said, yes please. I hadn't even touched the bowl. A few minutes later, he brought a much smaller much better sized bowl filled with crunchy radicchio, carrots, arugula, and other nice veggies. I was grateful because I couldn't even finish that one. There's no way I could've done the large one. The service was excellent. They were very kind and courteous, and went out of their way to be helpful more than once . As I was leaving it was pouring rain. My waiter didn't want me to go out into the rain without an umbrella and I said I was fine and I laughed that I wasn't made of sugar, most could attest to that. He smiled and said just a minute and he went back somewhere towards the kitchen and dug around and came back out with an umbrella. Talk about customer service so I had a lovely lovely walk back home in the rain it's been very hot here so it felt delightful. I returned the umbrella yesterday evening. I will happily go back there again before I leave.
