I love Rosso Coffee and I have been to the 17th Ave location, but love love this location. I love Inglewood neighborhood and this particular location is quite big with bar area, communal couch area near floor to ceiling windows that is perfect to soak in some sun, other communal tables in the back that have perfect lighting and no windows (which I also love since I am not distracted by the outside view and can really focus). I ordered a Chai Tea latte and Chocolate Cashew energy ball. The latte was so good, so creamy, and perfect amount of sweet. The energy balls were big and a good value for the price. Most energy balls at cafes are 1-2 bites and quite pricey, but this one is very filling. There is street parking and it is not expensive. I paid less than a buck for 2 hours. read more

I really want to love Rosso Coffee as the drinks and food are delicious but I've had multiple disappointing experiences with the service here so I won't be able to give it more than 2 stars. From what I've experienced, no matter how many people are in the shop or in front of you in line, it will ALWAYS take a long time to get your order. I've been first in line when it's been nearly empty and still had to wait awhile. People behind me in line got their drinks before I did. The last time I visited, I ordered a London Fog with soy milk and was told the price was over $8. This was at least $2 more than all comparable drinks on their menu. When I questioned this, I was told it was because the soy milk and the honey were "add-ons". Soy milk is always an add-on so I was expecting that but math still didn't make sense. I didn't want to argue or change my order. Later I overheard the barista asking another employee about it and they corrected the way she input my order. I still hadn't received my drink and neither approached me to offer to refund the difference. Not cool. read more

Coffee is always yummy if you love it. But this mocha I had was sensational. And the decor and lighting was perfect for a coffee date on a sunny day! The chocolate syrup I believe is made in house and is dark and creamy flavor with a smooth finish. The inside is gorgeous with a community table to enjoy a drink and some work. Another additional coffee scene to lounge around in on a laid back Sunday afternoon. I love the fact that Calgary's coffee scene is growing, which results in consumers like me having more options for places to kick back and relax in. The new Rosso location can be found on the corner of 9th avenue and 14th street S.E. (can't be missed!), where large windows allow ample of sunlight in (score!). It was pretty busy for a Sunday afternoon but I managed to grab a bar stool at the community table. I eyed a large round couch when I entered, but unfortunately it was filled up (next time perhaps..). I ordered a latte and it was brought to me in a matter of seconds. I was also lucky enough to get the last Rosso-Oreo that they had in store, and people aren't lying, it was delicious! It wasn't too sweet, which made a perfect pairing with my latte. Thoroughly enjoyed my experience here! Came because I heard one of the baristas of this chain placed 5th at the WORLD Barista Championships and couldn't pass up the opportunity to try this coffee. They only had 1/2 of the course of 2 coffees presented in competition (a Geisha coffee) but it was DELICIOUS. Couldn't smell all the notes in the beans themselves but they REALLY became apparent after brewing. Tasting notes are: "raspberry, wine gums, and tropical" and I completely agree with the second note...reminds me of ice wine because it has this deep, jammy note to it. Not much of a strong aftertaste, but very clean and not acidic or burnt tasting at all. The barista even let me record the process! This is a lovely space to take a book and enjoy some coffee and music 10/10 would come back again! read more

Awkward interior space makes for an uncomfortable visit to this venue. (Think high-school cafeteria style seating). The central L-shaped sofa is indeed a focal point, but you probably won't feel comfortable sitting next to a stranger on it, either that or someone else will be occupying it with a "this sofa is MINE" kind or vibe. There's no patio seating to speak of, and the awkward interior space leads to confusion about who's next in line to be served. Coffee is good, but on the pricey side. read more

I had a bit of free time this morning so I popped into Rosso for a morning cup of joe and I am so happy that I did! I had their cappuccino and it was one of the best cups of coffee I have ever had. I was so impressed by how amazing it was! I had just the right amount of sweetness to it and it looked fantastic! Loved it! read more

Bright lights big city Parallel lines never meet Rosso tea for one Pretentious yelp review alert! I had plans for a coffee date with a stranger. Leaving my urban abode, I walked by two closed Rosso coffee shops as I made my way to Inglewood, little did I know how ominous this image would be. In Rosso's defense, it was past six pm, all of us, including coffee slingers are deserving of a Saturday night off. I had no particular reason why I choose the Inglewood Rosso coffee house, possibly because it was close by. It was a cool Saturday night, both in weather and in attitude. This Rosso has an oddly branched layout of the café floor and is nothing short of a geometrist's dream venue. Lucky for me, my date had already arrived before I walked through the door. The luck does not stop there my friends, she had already ordered me a green tea. Needless to say, I am off to a great start. I walked with my green tea in hand around the Rosso, in search for a perfect spot, a nook of sorts where I can talk freely on a first date. Unfortunately, the space was not conducive to such high aspirations and we decided to sit at a long rectangular shaped table off to the side. In hindsight, I should have sat at the coffee bar, which was stacked with inventory, but matched the interior post-modern-industrial aesthetic. The space is not best suited for a Saturday mid-evening date, especially a first one. The café runs a colder temperature, at least it did that night. Unbeknownst to my lady friend, I usually have my green tea at Rosso to stay, the one that she had purchased for me was in a to go cup. The Rosso steps away from my place, serves their green tea in an Erlenmeyer flask, which is highly pretentious, but so am I. Green teas are hard to get wrong, there is not much to it. The energy in which it is served is vital, and that energy was on point. As for my date, well, we had colorful conversations with colorful warm drinks. She offered to give me a ride home, which I gladly accepted. Alas, it was not meant to be. I guess we'll always have tea. read more

Pretty busy for a Friday morning, but I managed to snag a seat on their large sofa at the window - an excellent people watching spot. I ordered a chai latte and the breakfast sandwich and it came to around ten bucks. The breakfast sandwich is so delicious, made with a cheese scone and with whole grain mustard it is seriously addictive. My chai latte was nothing extraordinary, and was rather lukewarm. Overall I enjoyed my visit and the time on the comfy couch watching the people of Inglewood stroll by. read more

Rosso is one of the best local coffee shop chains in the city. Fantastic coffee. Friendly service. Great food and snacks. This location has a bit of a strange seating setup inside, but I find it interesting. Had a small americano and their lemon berry muffin. The coffee was ok but the muffin was REALLY dry and didn't have much flavour. For $3.75, was expecting a pretty awesome muffin...sigh. Their sign outside advertises pastries but might be better to focus on just the coffee. read more

Rosso has a nice relaxed atmosphere in his location. The staff is very polite and helpful! The only thing they need to fix is the cooler at the front makes a very loud noise and they need to fix the boards on the bottom so it is not so noisy. They could also offer more food, but in general good place to come for a relaxing coffee! read more

Overall, I was left unimpressed with this location. Sure it's their biggest location and as it happened, it also gave the most disappointing experience. For some unknown reason, one of the staff was unenthusiastic when serving two of my friends. Perhaps she did not wake up on the right side of the bed that morning. Also, I know ROSSO's interior choices are more modern and is reflected in their overall aesthetic but please, must we really be tortured by regular radio music? Where is the taste? Also the way the tables are arranged is very ergonomically unfriendly. My friends had to go behind somebody in order to go into the middle of long table by the felt mural. That somebody was not pleased. May I suggest reconsidering a better set up for the tables? This location needs some serious restructuring and TLC. read more

Nice place but half the customers using it as an office space. No place to sit. Move your clientele along people!

The setup is confusing, there's always a long line and not to mention it takes forever for a cup of coffee, there's no sense of urgency with the baristas for getting your coffee out in a timely fashion. The chai tea latte was cloyingly sweet. read more
