On the busier strip of Lucca, we stopped by this warm and inviting, elegant restaurant. We were warmly greeted and quickly given a table. Bread and butter arrived almost immediately while we looked over the menu. The entire menu is in Italian, but thankfully, my trusty Google Translate helped out.
Here's what we ordered:
- Millefoglie di Melanzane - 5/5 stars. This is a layered eggplant dish that was both hearty and savory. Using the bread, we used it to get every last bit of the incredible sauce.
- Ravioli Ricotta e Spinaci con Burro e Salvia - 5/5 stars. This is a lighter dish but just as mouthwatering. The sauce was delicate and clean, with butter and sage coming through beautifully. Absolutely scrumptious, and they generously brought more bread so we could enjoy every bit of the sauce.
There's also a great selection of wine, either to enjoy with your meal or to take away by the bottle. The staff was consistently attentive, always with a warm smile. We felt very well cared for and a bit pampered by all the thoughtful attention. read more
