It's full, especially on weekends. Delicious bakery pizza ordered by the weight. Two of my favorites are the sweet onions with tuna or the roasted yellow and red bell peppers. They make a crostata (pie) of pumpkin and another of mela cotogna, an ancient fruit similar to both an apple and pear which is not commonly found in other bakeries. We like them so much that we often serve a slice in our cafe with a cup of tea. A loaf of the famous Lariano bread weighs more than 2 kilos and is so fresh it lasts for several days. The price is just EUR1.35/ kg which is a third of the price you'll get charged in Rome's center. I also like the small loaf of multigrain bread sliced and toasted with honey or marmellata for breakfast! On weekends you can pick up fresh ricotta, primosale or take home their homemade lasagna, roasted chicken with herbs for a quick lunch/dinner. Lastly, I can't forget to mention their friselle, fette biscottate, cookies, cakes or local eggs, honey and wine. Everything tempts you! Family operated and friendly service.

We walked past a store that had the Magnum logo on it, the same Magnum ice cream bars I eat literally every week in America. Wait ... they have a store where they make a Magnum bar from scratch? And the customer gets to custom design it? OH MY GOODNESS!!! In a counterintuitive order, you begin your experience by paying, then select up to three toppings, and finally choose the vanilla or chocolate ice cream base. Backward from the American ice cream experience, but who cares? It works! I designed the perfect ice cream bar by choosing the meringue bits, the caramel cubes, and the mini-brownies. From a hidden freezer, the young man who spoke perfect English pulled out a naked vanilla ice cream bar on a stick. I watched as he dipped it in the most beautiful liquid milk chocolate (called classic), quickly hardening into a crunchy shell (they also offer white chocolate and dark chocolate shells). The toppings were added, and on request he drizzled white chocolate on top. It's almost sacrilege to make this statement, but I would skip all the amazing gelaterias in Rome just to eat at the Magnum Pleasure Store again. It's hard to beat gelato in the country that invented it, but the perfect ice cream bar simply beat it fair and square. However, I think it would be fresher at locations outside of the airport. The service was a little odd. It felt awkward because the guy taking the orders was acting a bit comical. I don't speak the language, but his actions and expressions when communicating to his partner appeared as if he was making fun of our poor Italian.
