The three biggest issues he left us with, were a washing machine that drained straight into our crawl space and onto a wooden beam that supported the house, a spot in our flooring that gave in when you walked on it that he assured me he fixed (we live over 2 hours from the home he was renovating and took him at his word on this) and an air conditioning unit that didn't work after construction was done that we later found out after hiring an HVAC guy was a broken wire from the thermostat to the unit that wasn't broken before construction started. We ended up having to run a whole new line to the unit to fix the issue. In time and money we probably spend an extra $1000 to fix these issues and there are still a few smaller things that need attention but that we cannot get to right now. All and all we just weren't satisfied with the quality of work for the amount we spent. BTW, he has changed the name of his business from URC to Universal Interiors Remodel

He patched the roof to stop it from leaking (didn't charge me at that time), and came back after the impending rain and repaired it the proper way. I asked him when I would need a new roof, and he told me 10-15 years, which is right at what I had figured (didn't try to sell me a roof I didn't need). I supplied the materials, and he gave me a big discount. The three parts that he did need, he picked up, at his cost, and didn't upcharge on them. Only reason it is a 4 star review instead of 5 is that he told me he would be back on Tuesday, and didn't show up until nearly a week later than he said. This was okay, because the leak was stopped, but there was no call back to me to let me know that he wasn't coming that day. I will call Ammex again, and can recommend that you do the same.

He did excellent work from a resigned open office to closing with French doors and an accent wall to a dry bar. All were done with extreme care and precision. He took his time to ensure it was done as asked and all the while being reasonable with pricing. He was willing to go get supplies if we did not have on hand and also ensured to give us time to know what we needed to decide (colors, backsplash, etc.) so we could made the decisions without being rushed or delaying the project.
