I am extremely disappointed with my recent online pickup order. After arriving at the store and having my order loaded into my vehicle, I later discovered that several items I had already paid for were missing from the order. What was most frustrating was the lack of concern or accountability shown when I contacted the store. Instead of offering a reasonable solution for their mistake, I was simply told that I would need to drive back to the store to pick up the items that should have been included in the first place. When customers use online ordering and curbside pickup, they expect the store to verify that all paid items are included before the order is released. The failure to do so created an unnecessary inconvenience and wasted my time. Mistakes can happen, but customer service is measured by how those mistakes are handled. Unfortunately, there was very little compassion or effort shown to make the situation right. I hope management takes steps to improve order verification and customer service so future customers do not have the same experience. read more

I went to rouses market for the very first time. They have a wide range of selections on groceries. Everything looked fresh especially the bakery area. I found Everything I was looking for. It seemed every employee that I walked pass either said hello or flashed a smile. I passed up the shopping carts and the employees were willing to show me where they were located one guy was in the food court telling me which shopping cart to get. Im really impressed by how nice everyone was. Even when I left the shopping cart attendant said have a wonderful day and be blessed. The ambiance was friendly and peaceful. The store was extremely clean. I drove in from Alexandria la to come here. The prices were very reasonable. read more

Rouses is a local chain that has an excellent selection of foods. When it comes to sausage, salsa, sauces, cajun spices and things like rice, gumbo and seafood spices, organic foods and fresh meats and seafood, this place rocks. They also have great prices on coffee and other common grocery items. This isn't a Walmart and your not gong to find furniture or a wide selection of toasters or appliances, but for fresh Cajun foods and spices this place is #1 in my book. I should also add that they have a great alcohol selection which includes hundreds of beer and wine selections and of course all of the top shelf alcohol you might need for your next party. The fresh fish and meats here are excellent and we also love the ready to cook meatloaf, seasoned chicken and burgers. Enjoy! read more

I was in town for a race and needed to grab some necessities. First, the shopping carts were being cleared in the parking lot quickly, and the young men were working hard to make sure the store was stocked with them. I was greeted when I walked in by an employee who was stocking some items. The store is large, clean, and pretty well laid out. They have a very large and clean salad bar, filled with fresh items. The hot bar was out of commission, but the area was pretty clean. Their liquor section was stocked - so many great wines and beers. There were a lot of local Louisiana items all over the store. I witnessed a lady ordering something in the seafood area and the employee was enthusiastic and offered her many suggestions. Even as a non-local, I felt like I was a neighborhood local with how well I was treated. The young lady checking me out at the register was friendly and very efficient. She made great conversation as well. I felt very valued. I wish all Rouses were run like this store. My local one could learn a couple of things from the Youngsville location. read more

Like the new store on Camellia. I find the staff very helpful there. They have gone out of their way to help me Find some items and are always very friendly and greet you with a smile. I like the big isles in the store and how clean and organized it is. Great addition to southside Of Lafayette. read more

A Rouse's in Youngsville?! Nice! Rouse's sure has come a long way from that first little store in Houma! With 50 stores now spanning three states, they still have not forgotten where they come from and that is why I do 75% of my grocery shopping here. They are local and buy and sell local. They don't just talk the talk, they walk the walk. They sell local seafood, local produce and local dairy. Sure, they carry national brands as well, but being a proud southern girl I always buy local when I can. Why wouldn't you? I like knowing my hard earned dollars are helping put food on the tables of my neighbors. Some of the things I love getting here are local fruits and veggies, beef jerky they make in house, fresh shrimp and the rotisserie chicken salad. They do a wonderful job on the cakes here as well, my personal favorite is the chocolate dobage. There's a few aisles dedicated to organic foods and household goods, which I also really like. Pretty soon I am guessing you'll see a Rouse's on every other corner. That makes me proud. And if you have two or even three in your town like they do in Slidell and Lafayette, just give them personal nicknames like my guy and I did to distinguish between them. read more

Undergoing renovation- we were passing through town and needed a special floral arrangement. Ms JENNIFER in the floral department deserves 5 stars herself! Cheerful and talented in her craft- created a beautiful arrangement of white hydrangeas, just what I had in mind, and a hair under budget. Not being from here, of course we wandered the grocery aisles while we waited for Ms Jennifer to work her magic. Selection looked great- picked up a hot crawfish pie and half a muffuletta from the hot food counter. Yum! read more

Twice I exhibited poor customer service by cashiers, this recent time was the worst after paying, cashier refuse to hand me my change she placed it in the counter and started scanning the next customers items. Very rude they just lost a customer. read more

Rouse's has a wide variety of food items so someone will never have a problem finding what you may need to prepare a great meal. I would say, that they really paid attention to the details on the entry area. Once you make your way towards the breakfast and frozen food areas, the feel of the store changes. It is "cold", just like the food chilling in the cases. Great first impression but lacks a lasting appeal. read more

I appreciate the healthy and vegetarian options they carry. This review is about the freshness of the food there. Basically, it's not. Several of the cherries were old and nasty (hidden by the decent ones on top); the ciabatta rolls I bought in the bakery went moldy the next day, and I bought a take and bake pizza which when I went to open it, discovered someone had ripped the plastic covering (hidden by the box). This store is expensive enough already not to end up throwing away over $20 worth of food. The cherries came to almost $9, the pizza was about the same and the rolls were $4.00. read more

I ordered 20lbs of boiled crawfish for family and friends for Easter. The ordering was simple and easy, it would be ready Easter morning at 10:30am, went and picked up. Got home and of course had to dig in and try them. It was a variety of all sizes, however they were dirty and had grass through out of sack. Not season at all. Very embarrassed serving them to my guest. Thank God we had other food crabs and shrimp. Taking samples back to Rouses to see what they could do. Spoke to manager he only wanted to give me back 10lbs of the money back, I told him I would like the full amount of 20lbs. He gave me the full amount back, that's good customer service. read more

Went to Rouse's bakery and the two girls behind the counter clearly saw me standing there.They proceeded to continue doing what they were doing and even left to go to back, came back to the front, kept doing what they were doing, and then finally about 5 min pass by and they ask me if I need anything. Obviously.... A "I'll be with you in a second" would have been nice if whatever they were doing was so important. read more

I have been shopping at Rouse's for 6 years and I spend around $1000 a month, but after yesterday that will not happen again. I went to get a cake for my 1 year old grandson for his birthday. We call him by initials so a plastic happy Birthday and his initials is all I needed. The lady in the bakery was rude and let me know she was not interested in helping me. If a business wants to employ someone like this to wait on customers, I will take my $1000 dollars a month else where. I went to a store that I don't normally shop at and they filled my request in less than 5 minutes. read more

Great experience! There are some specialty items here that you won't find at your normal big chain stores. Very clean for the most part and there is a great cafe also. Whether you want that special bottle of wine or a spicy tuna roll Rouses probably has it. The staff Is also very helpful. If your in youngsville definitely check it out. read more

Stood at the bakery counter to order a birthday cake for 5 minutes waiting 2 girls behind the counter laughing and not paying attention. Saw an order form so I grabbed it and filled it out myself. When I was finished one girl came up to me laughing that "She could have done that for me". Put in my order and walked to the hot food area because I needed to place an order for 50 chicken fingers. Waited another 10 minutes for someone to come help me place my order and ended up just leaving. I'll be picking up my cake but doubt I'll go back. read more

I love this store, for the most part. Most of the employees are very friendly and helpful asking if you need any assistance. The meat dept seems like they are bothered when you ask them for something and twice I have been told they cannot help me. Most recently I asked for a special cut of beef filet and they said they could not do it and instead pointed me to the filets alreday packaged. The ones already packaged were not cut correctly at all. You know if I'm paying 20 bucks a pound for meat I expect it to be cut correctly and to the size I want. At the very least, the ones in the packages could have been the same size but instead were paired one large with one small. No way those cook evenly. I will buy my meat elsewhere from now on. read more

I always thought I disliked chorizo because living in Texas, I've only tasted the Mexican version. Then we took a trip to Puerto Rico where I was served Spanish Chorizo at the B&B and fell in love. While visiting family back here in Acadiana, I called all the usual "fancy" grocery stores searching for Spanish Chorizo and came up empty. On a trip to Rouse's in Youngsville to buy a few items items to cook for my elderly mom, I asked if they had what I've been searching for. The meat market manager didn't have it in his department but brought me to the deli and there it was, imported Spanish Chorizo. Rouse's may be known for specializing in Louisiana products but they also have those hard to find items foodies are looking for. The Spanish chorizo is just one example of what I'm talking about. I always bring an ice chest when I visit back home and Rouse's specialty meats have a place in it to take back to Texas to stock my freezer. read more
