This is the only Kwik Shop in McPherson. Service is great if you like snotty teenagers and burnt out middle-aged clerks who you really think would kill you as soon as look at you if murder wasn't such a big deal. Frankly, I find this to be a problem with most of the Kwik Shops I've been to. The only ones that really impressed me were the Kwik Shop by the community college in Hutchinson and the one by the John Deere in Lawrence. They are friendly, and they go out of their way to great you. Their pumps couldn't be more inconvenient. There's always a line because they have only four narrow pumps with horrible access to any of them. You expect a fight to break out at any time between the guy the who patiently tries to wait in what passes for the line and the octogenarian who obliviously pulls around him into a pump the instant it finally becomes free. I only go here because of my Dillon's Plus card and the fact that it can save me 10 to 20 cents/gallon once I've racked up enough points.

The pump area was clean and stocked with the super long squeegee sticks that make it possible to get the top of my windshield. The fuel, once you include the 10 cent discount for scanning your Love's app barcode. Inside, the store was stocked with snacks, cold drinks in the coolers, roller hot dogs and a full coffee station with brew-to-order. The men's room was clean and I appreciate that they have the little button there to rate the cleanliness. Absolutely "green" today! Consequently, it is easy to find yourself low on fuel occasionally. It seems to me that during those moments there was typically a Love's around the corner. This Love's is right outside the town of McPherson . It is not the largest Love's I have been to and it is geared more for big rigs than passenger cars, UT they do have pumps for both. They also have a Hardee's attached to it, so if you want grab a burger, there is that! I just grabbed some snacks and a drink inside the convenience store section. The store was clean and the employees were down home and freidly people. I would not hesitate to stop here on future trips to Kansas.

I saw on the website that the pharmacy had closed early so I thought I'd just get them Saturday morning instead. This morning the website says they are closed until Monday. I called customer service and they confirmed the pharmacy was closed until Monday "due to an emergency" although the rest of the store is open. They referred me to the next closest Walgreens pharmacy which is 20+ miles away. This is unacceptable to close the pharmacy without warning when people are depending upon it to receive their medications.

Didn't have the best experience trying to deposit cash money into my checking account. I use…read moreWalgreens on the regular because my bank is not local and my bank makes it easy by giving me a barcode inside the app to make deposits. I just enter the amount of the deposit and show the barcode to the employee like I do each time. This is my first visit to McPherson and I needed to make a deposit but the employees especially the guy manager made me feel uncomfortable and like I was bothering them. He gave me excuses about my deposit explaining I have a limit but I urged him to try anyway and when it worked he didn't seem happy. I wish I had more options for making cash deposits but I don't and next time I will pass using this location
