I had difficulty finding a dermatologist specializing in Mohs Surgery that would take my health insurance. My insurance company was the one that referred me to Dr. Tack. I wasn't expecting an insurance company's referral to be spot on. I couldn't be happier with the care given to me by Dr. Tack. Not only does he take his time explaining any concerns/procedures, but his surgical skills are impeccable. I have had 3 procedures done by him. The first two had little scarring, the third was just done yesterday. I'm confident the last procedure's scarring will be minimal based on past procedures. I encourage all family and friends to see a dermatologist annually and if you live in the Carson City/Reno/Tahoe/Sparks area make an appointment at Carson Dermatology/Dr. Tack.

I complained about the unevenness right after my surgery and he had me come back in to "fix" it. All he did was stretch the nipple in order for them to be even and now the nipple is just oddly stretched and not even circular any longer. I wish I could post a photo to show you all exactly what I mean. This man has no bedside manner and acts very aloof. Please think twice before considering this doctor for your plastic surgery.

Need a PAR or a low cost means of paying for a non-covered medication done quickly? Check. Need refills and want them same day? Check. Need friendly office staff that kick ass at their jobs? Check. Want a skilled, knowledgeable provider that will take excellent care of you and instills excellence through the entire experience that you'll have with her office? Check. From every square inch of your skin (it's your largest organ, actually!) to your insides and even to your soul, you will not find a better run office and provider in all of Reno, Carson City to Truckee. And they make it seem effortless. Okay, you can safely guess that I haven't seen every provider, but I'm calling it anyway. Special shout out to the ever social Gabby! She's a friendly ambassador even when you run into her away from work and she doesn't even know who you are. Dr. Kamenetsky took all of 3 minutes total for this visit, and afterward one of the moles swelled up and started bleeding. I went to a different dermatologist shortly after this visit, who removed the mole completely and said it needed to be biopsied! Isn't that why I went to Kamenetsky in the first place? I called the office to object to a part of my bill, and have been given the runaround for months. After being told at least 5 times they would do something about this bill, instead they sent it to collections. You're better off finding someone that gives a crap about their patients!!

I felt there was minimal engagement or effort to properly evaluate my symptoms. I was seeking assessment for issues that I believe are related to GERD or LPR, conditions typically within the scope of an ENT evaluation. Instead, my concerns did not feel meaningfully addressed or investigated. The only option offered was a terrible medication that once you stop taking it makes your symptoms worse, which I do not feel is an adequate or comprehensive solution for my situation, and no other treatment pathways or diagnostic alternatives were discussed. I left the appointment without clarity, direction, or any actionable plan. Overall, I found the visit unproductive and not a worthwhile use of my time. He's just a ENT plastic surgeon I believe, how I got referred to him is a complete mystery.

I always knew I was in the best hands. I got a Septoplasty, turbinate reduction, and rhinoplasty. I've never been able to breathe well out of my nose, so Dr. Watson walked me through every single option for me. Surgery ended up being the best option and I am so grateful I went through with it. I added on cosmetic rhinoplasty and Dr. Watson did a fantastic job with both the cosmetic portion and the structural portion and is extremely knowledgeable about the ins and outs of the nose. With how quickly I'm recovering, I can tell how meticulous, gentle and detail-oriented he was with my nose in the surgery. After just one week, all of my bruising and swelling is gone. I got my cast and splints off and out of my nose 5 days post-op and was immediately able to breathe. INSANE!! And already LOVING the shape. Dr. Watson knew exactly what I wanted without me even having to over-explain. Highly recommend going with him for surgery or any other services you are looking for. As we age we loose fullness in our lips and face. I've been doin this type of work to myself for 20+ years. I'm a true believer. At my second appointment I had a photo facial and a micro needling procedure that didn't hurt because Adrienne put numbing cream all over my face and neck. The laser for the photo facial felt very warm and nice. The micro needling is a literal needle that punctures your skin to promote collagen growth under the epidermis. Dr Adams office will only schedule appointments three months (or more) out. If she finds a problem am I going to have to wait another three months to get it addressed? Additionally, what is this going to do to her overall patient scheduling? If only 30% of her patients now have to be seen twice a year rather than once am I now going to have to schedule my annual exams four (or more) months out? The only value I see thru this new policy is to Dr Adams' bottom line while being detrimental to her patients health and pocketbook.

Do your homework and be ready to spend 10's of thousands of cash dollars!…read more Due to his age (86 or 87), Dr. Forsythe is no longer capable of being in the medical field yet he continues to deal with patients. He needs to step down and will not. Towards the end of our relationship with the clinic, on a phone call with Dr. Forsythe, his office manager was in the background whispering, telling him what to say. She covers for him at the drop of a hat. He called my husband Ken three different names and did not know who he was talking to or what it was about. After that we were done talking with him. My husband has stage 4 prostrate cancer metastasized to the bones. When we first spoke with Dr. Forsythe in Dec. 2023, he actually sounded more like a used car salesman. Yet we moved forward as he was recommended by our local doctor. She had a patient who, at the time was please with her treatment there and we were looking for treatment outside of traditional medicine. This patient no longer will go back to the clinic either. She recommended the clinic to two other people who also had bad experiences there. Our doctor will no longer recommend this clinic. The staff was nice and appeared caring. They all seemed to have had some life threatening illness and possibly they were hired to be able to relate to the patients. Dr. Maged was the best doctor there. He is kind, calm attentive and insightful. He does not support what is happening there now. There are very little if no follow up calls, and questions seem to be side stepped. Within the first couple of visits we were handed a handful of prescriptions, some of which were hardly explained as to when and why they had to be filled. For the months Ken was under his care, we repeatedly heard him say the same lines over and over again; it was like they were canned. There was generally another oncologist there overseeing conversations. We thought he was in training, however we now know he was making sure Dr. Forsythe was not giving misinformation. My husband was misdiagnosed by Dr. Forsythe, telling us that the severe problem Ken was having on the right side of his face was caused by the monthly XGeva shots he was prescribed. Ken had Bell's Palsy in his 20's and now is 81. Dr. Forsythe told us not to go to a neurologist as they would only put Ken on steroids and that the Bells Palsy may eventually go away. The clinic does not believe in having images done on patients to see where the cancer is. They do not check your blood other than the ONCO draw which is over $5,000. You have to have your local physician order blood draws to see how you are doing. The clinic also does not look to see what else can be causing a patient to slowly fail during their treatment. Ken was slowly going downhill, getting weaker and losing weight fast. He was a very active man who worked out in the filed up until we attended the clinic which was Feb 2024. Our local integrative physician found Ken's thyroid to be off, something which was causing his system to fail. The problem with his face; chewing, eyesight, taste, numbness, pressure, complete loss of hearing on the right side and pain continued. Dr. Maged suggested that we see a neurologist, Dr. Forsythe overruled it. By phone Dr. Maged encouraged us to see a neurologist who ordered images, it turned out Ken has cancer in the bones of his face, none of this was caused by the XGeva shot or Bells Palsy. We feel that Dr. Forsythe was not capable of treating Ken's advanced cancer. The clinic is working to prove his methods work and we failed to make sure the clinic had treated Ken's type of cancer, the stage of the cancer and on someone his age. The clinic did not offer this information. Let's talk about the money. Nothing was given to us in advance stating the amount of money for the treatments as a whole. We wound up paying around $50,000 for treatments that failed. They offer you a chance to receive a $5,000 grant, ya right! Each office visit was thousands of dollars. The staff is trying very hard to cover up for Dr. Forsythe's failing memory and age by side stepping the quality of care for the patients. It's his "show" and he does not want to step down. I would hope that any one considering this clinic will "do their homework", ask many, many questions and get all of it in writing. If possible, do not deal with Dr. Forsythe as it more like the stories of Joe Biden. He'll stand you up on phone calls and his office manager will tell you he had "an emergency to attend to". It is a sad situation of a doctor who needs to step down and won't. I would hope that anyone considering this clinic will be cautious, they are quick to take your money with a straight face. Side note: My husband is getting better thanks to people who have stepped up to help us navigate what happened. We are now back with traditional medicine and have great hopes that he will continue to get stronger and healthier. We won't be returning to the Forsythe Cancer Clinic.
