If you weren't aware of the shoulder rub, it could be awkward! Owner Meshelle is great at what she does and often takes part in fashion week shows; also this is a Redke salon. However, the resident hairdresser at Kudos, David, is definitely a good choice. He used to work at SAX along Unley Rd until he recently opened up his own place. The interior of Kudos is very appealing. It is black and white, with minimal decorations and a red couch. Oh and the chairs. When you are having your hair washed you get to sit in chairs that give the rest of your body a massage. I didn't think there was anything better than a head massage at the hairdressers, but this is it. David always gives a good haircut. He is also amazing at dying. Once I decided my pink hair needed to be blonde. I proceeded to sit at the hairdressers for three hours until I had an amazing white blonde colour! Another lady works out of the hairdresser, doing manicures, spray tans and waxing. This means you don't even need to leave the shop to have the works!

She always offers a cup of tea or coffee and a friendly chat. She's a fantastic hairdresser and I always look forward to going. I sometimes get my waxing done there if I'm due at the same time as my hair. It's a nice atmosphere, not too crowded as it's just her working there, so you never feel like it's rushed or you're an inconvenience as I've felt at some places.

I lost my much loved and talented friend hairdresser to her having a baby (don't you hate that!) so…read moreI was apprehensive when looking for a replacement to dye and cut my hair (incorporating bleaching and a wild orange colour). I wanted to try someone local and took a risk and I couldn't be happier!! Charmaine was fantastic (lots of experience) and she got the colour exactly from my picture I had. Have since gone back and had a refreshing (light) beer to sip whilst waiting for my hair....totally relaxing and great company, especially Gladys the resident poodle!
