Though he would always tell me that motorbikas are dangerous because nothing is protecting you from the world (unlike a car's doors, roofs, etc.), I've always been curious and get excited just thinking about the adrenaline rush the freeing feeling riding a bike can give. Very recently, I met several people who live and breath adrenaline and speed. Just like cars, there is apparently so much more to bikes than just buying it and driving (or in this case, riding) it. This is where Kratos Custom Cycles stands out. Taking into consideration the client's needs and wants, budget considerations and available options, then the creative process begins. Because it's custom, if the available options aren't what you want or need, they make it for you. In short, they're pretty much the fairy godfathers of bikes. Fine, that sounds a bit too girly, so wizards would probably fit better. The attention to detail is impeccable, which is of course very important and crucial, because after all, it will just be the rider and the bike on the road (and maybe his helmet and a few other protective gear). I was also surprised to see that their workshop was clean and orderly, something that is very unusual for a bike garage or businesses that involve greasy paraphernalia and machinery. With a love of riding bikes and passion for excellence, Todee Teodoro set-up shop in his garage and just did what he was probably born to do: build.

Some of these things composed of the quality of the product, the design and the comfort. It also helps if the product comes in my favorite color that is Red. I also consider if I can mix and match it with the things I currently own. One of the brands that I've splurged on is Y-3 by Yohji Yamamoto. I would see their products online before and I wondered when they would put up a store here in Manila, I'm glad that they did recently. Located both in my favorite areas which is the Fort and Power Plant mall has made it accessible for me. I love their shoes and clothing designs. Yes it is pretty expensive but you just have to think deeper on why you're splurging on a pair of their sneakers or other accessories. If you in to tech wear stores, Y-3 is for you.

Gone are the days of ugly comfy sweats and sandos; the rise in fashionable techwear has now turned the treadmill into a catwalk. One of the first stores promoting fashionable techwear in Manila is Y-3, the sportswear brand from esteemable designer Yohji Yamamoto. At first it was collabs with Adidas (also available here) which resulted in futuristic running shoes. Now Yohji has brought his signature anti-fit to sportswear, though I'm not exactly sure how functional these will be. I suppose loose tops will be comfortable, but billowy pants may be a problem. That's the price you have to pay for wearing Yohji at the gym. At least people will now admire your drapes as you pedal cautiously on the stationary bike to make sure your sweats don't get caught in the spokes.

As a result, we decided to enlist Travel Factor's services to help us navigate to the top of Mount Pulag I was very satisfied with Travel Factor's services. We were always on schedule. The guides were very knowledgeable, entertaining and were always prepared. They readily answered any questions that we might have had and were always careful to manage our expectations. What I appreciated most was that after a 6 hour overnight bus ride from Manila, followed by a 2 hour jeepney ride followed by 4 hours of walking uneven terrain, when we got to the camp site, all the tents were already prepared. While most of my comrades decided to explore the woods, I was just very thankful that I had a place to crawl in and sleep. The next best thing I appreciated was breakfast the next day. When we woke up, the guides already has instant noodles and champorado cooking over a small fire. After sleeping through almost freezing temperatures, it was definitely one of the best meals I've ever had in my life. In spite of my eternal crankiness, my Mount Pulag adventure was made memorable thanks to Travel Factor.
