The wines are cheap, but they have all the expected types. Beer goes much the same way- major branded lagers, ales and some bottles. Membership is affordable and makes the booze cheaper. I believe they have limited bar snacks and can cater for larger events. They back on to the Millennium center so they can feed and water your function too. It's a little run down, but a nice casual place to chat with the locals :)

The Broadway Theatre is in a prime location in the centre of the town. Originally built as an Odeon…read morecinema in 1937, the cinema closed in 1991 and stood idle for 6 years. It was purchased in 1997 and converted by a local entrepreneur into a theatre and art gallery, reopening as a 1,200 seat theatre in 2001. The interior of the Auditorium has been tastefully modernised but retains some of its original Art Deco character. The colour schemes are primarily creams and browns and the seats are well spaced and comfortable. There is an upstairs Circle Foyer bar with a reasonable amount of seating and the bar staff were friendly and helpful. I went to see the Australian Pink Floyd, a rock band, and band looked a little cramped on stage, but otherwise the performance and sound quality were both very good. Nice small comfortable venue, recommended.

PacMan!) and a physical record of the birth of computers, the internet and gad, the mobile phone (if you're old enough, you know it as 'the brick.') It is a testament to the fun of the place that Harry had no interest in taking a walk down memory lane with me as I gawked at my first computer, a Compaq 'portable' (HA HA!) that had a 6-inch green screen and weighed a svelte 28 pounds; ancient rotary phones and the square Macs launched in 1986 that were a staple of every university computer lab (put in the disk, put in the disk, put in the disk, put in the disk...remember? If not, lucky you, and yet they were SO cool). The quotes up on the walls....priceless.

Old computers, punch cards, electronics, data processors, military grade computers, tubes, make your own tape, old floppy discs and on and on. The crown jewel is the incredible number of gaming consoles and arcade units, all of which are free to play. They even had small handhelds, early stuff and a gameboy. This place legit had it all, what an amazing walk down nostalgia lane. Highlight of my visit to UK.
