First off, they never buildings, the are old. There's cracks and holes everywhere and everything breaks down. The worst is the bugs. Since the buildings are so old a lot of bugs get in but before we left there, we had a huge problem with cockroaches. I don't know if it's because the trash is right next to the laundry room, but it's absolutely disgusting. On top of all that the rent goes up every month I couldn't leave fast enough. read more

Royal Crest Estates gets worse and worse. I have lived here for almost a year and it has been problem after problem. The communication with their tenants is horrendous. I put a ticket in for the grout in my bathroom to be redone. That ticket was supposed to be responded to within 24 hours according to my lease agreement. I had to go back to the office a month later to report that I hadn't heard anything back about my ticket. That was February. I asked for the person above the property manager and was in contact with the regional manager who was just as bad if not worse at responding. It is now July and they are just reaching out about my bathroom grout and scheduling to have it done. My lease is up in October. They are trying to raise my rent over 10% after one year and the adjectives they used about the property are outstanding service, optimally maintained home, exceptional lifestyle. NONE of those things are true in regard to Royal Crest Estates. The property is barely maintained. I had to tell them on more than one occasion that the hallway hadn't been cleaned in over a month, the "luxury" pool area is dirty (the chairs have old dirt and spider webs on all of them), the mailboxes are broken, I can barely get in the front door without a fight to unlock it, there's a personal swamp on the side of my building making my balcony almost unusable because of the mosquitos and I am pretty sure that is a health code violation. The list goes on and on. The bait and switch of this place is insane and the audacity to try and raise rent at such a rate when it is barely worth the cost they are charging is even worse. read more

This place is atrocious. I signed a lease in January 2021. They raised our rent well over 15%, did not negotiate new terms up until the day I had to sign the new lease. We've sent dozens of emails and phones and messages and haven't received a response in 7 months. They owe us money from last YEAR when the washer and dryers broke. DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!! read more

I lived here for 3 years and each year the quality declined from amenities, service, attitude and professionalism. The location is great, very secluded and quite but extremely close to highways. Parking is mostly fine and the previous staff, Norm the manager and a young lady whose name I forgot but want to say Iesha, and maintenance we're good. There are turkeys always wondering, the pool is nice, the hose for car washing was available and the tennis courts are fun and they used to hold/host little events. As it goes each year the company raised rent while new renters got better deals, the dates for when the pool opened varied, they kept pushing back the dates when the pool would open each year and the when opened the pool was duty with green slime on the bottom. parking spaces were removed for a new housing development and trash. We paid our rent on time every month, made very few maintenance requests while there. Since the full change of staff at the office they have lost all professionalism. When we were trying to negotiate a lower rent the new manager would constantly cut me off then snapped and asked if I was insulting her. The few times my husband has tried to speak with her the manager would cut in, not listen We had the walk through and the manager said we would be charged $15 for new hot plates which we agreed to. Over 2 months passed and we never received our deposit and that includes 10+ calls, 4 emails and 3 visits. We were told the check was mailed out but on the final visit to the office the manager found it was buried under the most unorganized desk drawer and matching office. When reviewing the check they had taken out an additional $90 for "oven cleaning" though the manager walk through and ok'd it the entire apartment and only mentioned the $15. We talk her we want to dispute and she said to contact the head office, we send 3-4 emails over 2 months and get nothing. Finally we get a phone number and the person says we need to talk with the property. I have documentation that the oven is clean via a video walkthrough, and in MA it is illegal to give a deposit back over 30 days after move out. Which now I have to take legal action to get my deposit back. Royal Crest is not a good place to live anymore. read more

Constant flooding from the septic system. Flooded all down the public hallway and into mr apartment. I had to break my lease because I no longer could deal with the smell and risk to my health, so of course they have sent me to collections for breaking my lease. All flooding issues have been well documented. I now have the attorney general involved. read more

Hi everyone looking for a place to rent. Royal Crest has the most picturesque beautiful wooded setting than any apartment that I have looked at. That's what drew me here. I've been here for 7 months and so far so good! The only not so great things in my apartment are the outdated kitchen and bath! tThe maintenance guy Mike has been exceptional. My dining room light burnt out and he came up immediately and replaced them. I also caught up with him while he was getting ready to go home and he more than willingly came up to take a look at it. If you decide to rent here, be sure to take photos of EVERY inch of the apartment during the initial inspection, notifying management in writing of any and all imperfections. The end of lease inspection is unrealistically stringent: management is very aggressive and will charge you for any signs of wear & tear. The units are fairly basic, if not on the expensive side. We had to call maintenance 4 times over our six-month lease, and we found them to be very responsive. Parking is sufficient. The tenants range in age and income: we did witness several police visits during our stay. read more

Applied for an apartment in late December early January of 2021. I had put $400 down as a holding deposit that would be half my security deposit if i moved in. A few days later I had a personal issue so I unfortunately had to withdraw my application. I emailed the office and they said they would mail me a refund check to the address I had on my application. It has been over a month and a half and I STILL have not received my refund check. The people at the front desk are basically unreachable. I emailed them a total of 3 times about my refund check, and I only got 1 response saying that they "would look into it". A week or two after that response and trying to email them 2 more times I decided to give them a call. They answered on the first ring and said that they would contact someone to see what happened, and they would call me back by the end of the day. I waited, and after 2 days of no call back I decided to call them again. The same lady answered the phone again and when I asked she just blatantly said she contacted someone and wouldn't hear back until Tuesday (the 16th of February) and that she would call me when she heard back. This conversation happened on Friday the 12th. It is now Friday the 19th, and I STILL HAVE NOT gotten a callback. The people working there are extremely unprofessional and unhelpful, and no matter what I do nothing happens. I'm getting a feeling that I will never be receiving my refund, and that they took it and told me they are doing all of this contacting people to figure when in actuality they are not and they are just stalling so they can keep their money. My honest next step is legal action because I don't know what to do anymore. I loved living here for the past year. The only reason why I am leaving Royal Crest is because I have to move closer to my boyfriend's work. The entire time we lived here we had zero issues with management, maintenance, or neighbors. We rarely had problems that maintenance needed to fix in our apartment but in the rare case we did, maintenance would be over within minutes to fix it. Norm and Melanie are also really great and have helped us through the entire process of moving out. Overall, I would recommend Royal Crest to anybody considering moving to Fall River and I will truly miss this place! read more
