When we arrived, we were quickly ushered into a place at a communal table, and promptly ordered chilled, non-filtered sake, which while not a good deal, was refreshing. Then the food began to come....the choice is simple: you pick between one of three "menus." No details are given, but the discovery of course-after-course is stunning. ours began with a platter of vegetables seasoned every which way: haricots verts au sesame, marinated beets, mushrooms, potatoes, etc... Next up: potato croquettes, summer squash and sardine rolls, marinated maquerel, salmon sashimi with a soy sauce foam, delicately fried chicken, daurade in a peanut sauce, magret de canard, and the list goes on! Each dish was more beautiful and tastier than the previous, and the service was impeccable. A delicious Chablis preceded a Montagny Premier Cru, and the evening was rounded out with housemade sorbet and a dessrt platter. Phenomenal!
