If you go to there by car, it's ok. Because there has parking space. But if you go to there by DART, you have to walk about 20mins to badminton centre from the station.

The bar upstairs is nice in a kind of slightly worn and neglected kind of way - the slight air of decrepitude only serves to add to the charm. Very pleasant and friendly staff, and on the whole nice locals, although the fact that they the GAA club sells the cheapest pints around attracts some weird old people who don't have much of a connection with an Cumann Luthcleas Gael, but sure they're supporting the club and who am I to judge. The only thing preventing Raheny GAA Club from getting a five-star review is the function room downstairs. I say "function room", whereas it would actually be a lot more accurate to describe it as "gymnasium with a few trestle tables in it". It's just a big room, and if it is in anyway empty, the 21st or whatever the function is will seem very dead. Still and all, great little spot, one of the finer of Raheny's drinking establishments.

It's said the place is owned by someone who plays for the Dublin football team, I think! Upstairs in the sports club they have a bar and restaurant. You don't have to be a member of the club to use them. Just sign in at the reception desk and go upstairs to the restaurant and bar. The place has a tasteful and contemporary decor. Friendly and welcoming staff. But here's where the place excels and just what it was my family were raving about - the food. The menu range is excellent and food is prepared to high standard. And that's the real winning point here. For the standard of food you get it's excellent value for money. I had oven baked hake with a mustard and herb crust. Being totally honest, it's the best fish dish I've ever had. Deliciousness beyond words. I'm hoping next time I go home to Ireland they take me here again!
