I ordered a veggie sub that included cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, Chesapeake seasoning and sauce, mayo, and garlic aioli. I ordered extra sides of garlic aioli and Chesapeake sauce. The fries looked good so I ordered those as well because they were wedges. It has been a while since I had that style. The food was ready by the time I left the bathroom. I grabbed the food, paid for it on a kiosk, and went back to the car to eat. Hubs went to use the restroom and grab a coffee. When I started to go through the bag, I realized no sauces were in the bag and sandwich looked less appealing than a prison sandwich. Hubs went back in for me to get the sauces and I was given ranch instead of garlic aioli but the Chesapeake sauce was correct. The food was just not worth the price or the carbs. I was no longer hungry but also still craving an empty satisfaction. This was the first place we came across after driving for a while with no civilization in sight. Next time, I will be searching for other options if I am in the same predicament. Maybe I went on an off day or maybe they are known for other foods. They are similar to the concept of Wawa but nowhere near the quality.

The ad posted on their ice cream case said Edy's ice cream was $5.49 for a half gallon container. The problem is that Edy's doesn't sell ice cream in half gallon containers-they are only three quarts. Therefore Beach House was misleading its customers about what they were buying. You cannot advertise an item as half a gallon when it is only three quarts. I pointed this out at the register and the rude clerk said "I'm a liquor store I don't care." I later saw a lady in a red Cadillace SUV pull to the side of Crystal Beach Road when she saw me behind her headed towards Cecilton. She then pulled out behind me and followed me for several miles. The next day I returned to take a photo of the deceptive promotion and left. The same lady in the red Cadillac followed me and pulled into a nearby store lot behind me and began berating me. She told me I was no longer welcome in her business (Beach House Wine & Spirits) because I called them out for deceptive business practices. I told her I would be filing a complaint about them with the State of Maryland. She was very angry and very vocal after I explained to her that she was a crook. She kept saying she didn't care about deceiving her customers. I did file the complaint.

I initially stopped here to get gas (the provide BP at this location) and then I wanted to go inside to get a drink and a snack to wind down my night. After going inside it felt a little to small for my liking. I had to reroute myself several times just to look at items because of the people in here. I will give them this, it is nice and bright in the store and everything seemed organized and in place. I found my items and went to pay. The two employees working made it feel like anyone that was in the store was interrupting them and we should have just left without anything in our hands. It took a while be be rung up as the guy was having a full on conversation and slowly processing the transaction. What really bothered me was that even after you paid, it felt like they were waiting to accuse you of stealing something. My friends that came with me had already paid and were waiting there for me to finish. As I was going through my transaction they kept looking at my friends, who had already paid, like they wanted to accuse them so badly of stealing what they just paid for. Once I finished my transaction we headed outside and were on our way.

When we arrived on the beach, we noticed the umbrella was for patio due to each its tall height, long wooden base, and was not adjustable. Since this umbrella was not for beach use, couple hours later, I returned to the store to and return/exchange umbrella because we thought we could find another umbrella, the store manager said "no returns on beach umbrellas" - without any explanation whatsoever. That was an odd response. First, the store did not issue a receipt; second, all items should be subject to returns unless you buy an item like coke bottle and opened it. When I tried to explain the situation about the umbrella, he wanted to show flexibility and buy another umbrella the same size - they didn't have one - then he changed his mind and offered to buy something else - no refunds/no returns- but why? Why do I have to buy something that I don't need. However, since we were on the beach area, I said ok, I will look for a beach chair. All of a sudden, he saw that the umbrella had traces of sand, then, he changed his mind again and said "no returns - you must keep it." If the umbrella was placed in the trunk with chairs from the beach then there was sand. So, I decided to leave the store at once. Definitely an unacceptable way to run business and misleading customers by selling items like umbrellas for a beach use that are in fact for patio use - do whatever to make a profit . Will someone from the local community keep a close check to stores like this one? Obviously , the name of the store called "RB Convenience" hits any visitor/tourist like myself with high prices and taking advantage of its close proximity to the beach.
