Ua never pushed or pressured me and when I asked her for a few minutes to think about my possible purchase, she smiled and said, "Of course, you need to be sure." When I returned and told her I wanted to make the purchase, she again explained everything about the piece to me to make sure I knew what I was purchasing. It was my favorite ring and brought so many wonderful memories....the flower had broken off and I have been trying to find a replacement. So I came here and I actually found a few rings similar to it. I narrowed down a few rings and ended up with this gorgeous wave ring with diamonds and a blue diamond in the middle. It was more than what I was looking to spend, but I couldn't put it down. It's stunning. All their diamonds are mined, each one unique as the next and this is a piece that I will be able to pass down. The staff were quite amazing and didn't push me at all. In fact they made it so comfortable and enjoyable! I had a lot of fun trying on all the different rings and styles. The gentleman that worked there was so patient with me. He let me go check out the rings outside in natural light. So although it was quite a bit more than what I wanted to spend, it is timeless, unique and one of a kind (there wasn't another one there). No worries, reasonable. Also my wife bought a new silver necklace that day. Very nice, but it was extremely difficult to open and close the clasp ! So after one day, she decided to return it. I went back the next day (initially I only saw two white ladies that were working , not the lady (she was Filipino ) that helped us out. I didn't get good vibes when I can in , Alas the lady from yesterday turned around and happily assisted with a smile. She accepted the return without complaint or pressure to buy something else. They carry a number of local artists as well as national brands. Just ask if you want to know which pieces are by locals / islanders. I found a cool little pendant that had Big Island sand in it (I know... totally touristy but it was cute and was by a local), and my mom found some beautiful earrings made by a lady on Maui. The lady manning the store was very personable but not pushy. So, she gets a plus for not pressuring us to buy anything but instead gave us tidbits of info on the local pieces/artists. That's when I visited Tiffany & Co here. I was just looking around and were greeted by the sweetest workers who didn't care if I was there to buy jewelry or not. Usually, I would get a greeting and that's about it. They would go back to chit chatting with each other. But not here! Everyone was so welcoming. We were helped by Mika. She showed us some watches and since I was there, I asked if I can get my rings cleaned. While waiting for rings to be cleaned, a couple more employees asked if we needed any help or wanted anything to drink. We politely declined, but the manager, Hassan took it upon himself and us some drinks in a Tiffany bag (one water bottle and one sparkling water) and said it's a hot day... we may need it later. He also gave us some cookies that are popular on the big island. A small gesture like that goes a long way and we were just so appreciative. Overall, such friendly staff that seems to work together as a team. No one cared if I was already being helped by someone else, they will do whatever to make you feel comfortable and do not need anything else. Seems like the manager is leading by example himself, which is why he such wonderful employees. I would definitely come back. So to commemorate our trip to the Islands and do some way early Christmas shopping, I decided to get one for my wife. Leaving my wife shopping in Crazy Shirts across the way, I sneak over to Dolphin and ask about the charms. The nice sales ladies said I can buy one of the pre-made ones or customize my own, which is a great idea. I chose a bunch of sterling silver pineapples, sea turtles, plumeria, hibiscus, swirly glass beads and before I knew it, I spent a bundle. The bracelet is beautiful and is well worth it though. Completing my surrepticious purchase, I sneak back into Crazy Shirts with no one the wiser. Heh heh. (This review has been sitting in my bucket for the last 5 months after coming back from Hawaii. I had to wait until Christmas to post this review, so as not to let the cat out of the bag.)

In short, a female red-headed employee displayed some micro-aggressions towards me when she mentioned, "We also don't offer Kama'āina discount," when I didn't even ask for it, nor do I ever - even though I'M HAWAIIAN along with most of my maternal and paternal ohana, our ancestral roots or Native to Hawai'i. This really young red-head sat behind the counter the entire time as patrons like us came and went. She lacks basic awareness of our Native Hawaiian culture and requires DEI training. We will not be returning to this particular location.
