The roofers performed their job in just over a day, they pulled back the siding in places to ensure flashing was placed up the walls for proper water run off. The siding team took just over two days to tear off the old siding, perform some wall repair from window rot, install underlayment and then the new siding. Gary was instrumental in guiding us for a quality siding product and using his experience to add highlights that makes the home stand out. He decided he wanted to save money and finish the sheet rocking, mudding and taping himself. Let's just say it was the worst job by a so called professional I've ever seen! He tried to fix it and actually made it worse. I now have bowed ceiling and uneven walls that I have to look at every day. His fix it idea was to use a flat paint to hide what he did. You can pretty much see everywhere he taped and mudded seams and screws. He forgot to cut out for vents and electrical sockets, ect. A professional would have fixed it by scimming over the walls, or hired a true professional, but instead he decided to stop answering calls and text messages. I would stay clear of hiring Gary for any project!

It was my understanding that the framing for both units was included in the original quote, but I was charged another $300 for the downstairs frame repair. I understand tile work tends to be a bit messy but due to the cold weather they decided to use their tile saw inside the home which created a ginormous mess in both apartments. We had to spend about 2 hours per apartment cleaning silica dust off of everything within a 10 foot radius of the bathrooms. They also left a giant mess in the bathrooms themselves. Besides the mess they made and the extra payment I was charged. I have to give Four Seasons handymen a 3-star review for timeliness. I know the weather doesn't always permit in Minnesota but they were 1-3 hours late every single day they were supposed to come out.

I was told in the initial meeting it's a $400k-$500k project. How? This makes abdolutely no sense. I was told the dormer (4ft by 3 ft) with the 2 bathroom redo's was $250k. Two 6ft by 9 ft bathrooms. Then the mini split (5 heads) and closet and 7 new doors and paint and other work would be another $150k plus. How? There is pricing for a margin and being greedy. This is just greedy. Hard pass and they should be embarrassed.

What we learned firsthand from our bathroom remodel (down to the studs) was that Sergio and team are superb craftspeople, hard-working, and respectful. Our chose a custom remodel for our 1920's Minneapolis bungalow and our input on every detail was taken seriously and incorporated. The complete remodel includes: walk-in tiled shower with a window (yea!), a non-skid shower pan, and grab bars, new custom cabinets, new toilet, sink and heated tile floor. It's functional and beautiful. The subcontractors chosen by Guaman construction (plumber, painter, electrician, cabinet-maker) were of similar excellent quality. We are out of town owners so we wanted someone who could not only be relied upon, but who could manage all of the subs in an efficient way. They weren't the least expensive, but the difference was not so much and we went with them because of my brother's experience. The project involved granite countertop installation, tile backsplash installation, removal and replacement of some china cabinets, various electrical work, new sink and disposal installation, and similar work in the Master bath. Wow were we impressed! First off, the communication with us was outstanding. We knew about every visit and every issue in advance, receiving pictures along the way. Our neighbors in the condo complex couldn't have been more appreciative of the way they handled moving materials in and out. We actually had guests stay at our place during the high point of the construction (McNulty was not aware of it because it was a weekend), and the place was immaculate. Also per my brother, at the end of every day they do a complete clean. Quality of the workmanship was exceptional. We had a tricky counter request where we wanted the seam around the corner - not at the corner - where our stovetop was. They used a little extra bracing and were able to get a very big piece of granite into the unit. What a great experience for us. Everything about it was first class.

All of the roofing companies were quite busy due to recent storm damage. Some didn't return calls, and we even had a couple no-show on scheduled estimates. Matt K, in contrast, was extremely responsive and reliable. We left a message on a weekend, and he called back that same weekend, and scheduled a time for an estimate within a few days. He came for the estimate at the appointed time, and promptly emailed us a detailed, thorough, and competitive bid. He then answered all of our questions thoroughly and knowledgeably about the proposed work and process. Matt was easy to talk with, explained about roofing in terms that we could readily understand, did not up-sell, and provided honest evaluations and recommendations from his decades of roofing experience. Shortly after that, while we were still evaluating our options, we had a leak concern. In response, Matt was able to juggle schedules to fit our replacement in quickly. His crew (led by Brendan), was efficient and careful, and were able to complete the tear-off and replacement in a day, even though winds reached up to 20 mph some of the time. They also left our property neat and tidy. Someone who saw them work told me that he would without reservation "heavily suggest using them again!!!" (His three exclamation marks, not mine). As a bonus, Matt also has a good eye for color. We went with his color recommendation, and really finds that it looks nice against the colors we have.
