The prices range from really expensive (i.e. lots of visibility) to the tiniest little space big enough for one small stuffed animal. You rent by the month and they always have specials. So basically you can start your own business and essentially have a 'store front'. Customers come into this store and browse all the cubes and if they see something in a cube that they like, they can purchase it right there at the store. You receive the profits after whatever commissions Cube, Inc. takes from your sale. It's an awesome idea that I think would allow many business owners to sell random things that they would like the public to buy without investing heavily in an actual store front!

It sort of reminds me of a Hong Kong or Taiwan night market but split into tiny little cubes and no annoying vendors eye-ing your every move and pressuring you to buy. Each "cube" is rented out by an individual or business and they showcase their items in that cube. Some items you'll find here include jewelry, LOTS of cell phone accessories (tons of decoden!), color contacts, lip balms, hair accessories, stuffed animals and even cameras! The cubes change every now and then so it's definitely a nice surprise to always be able to browse new things. Lots of items seem to come from Asia (pretty much a given...) Prices range from moderate to very expensive. Some cell phone cases cost almost $400!!!!!!! CRAZY. I saw a fuzzy minnie mouse one today that was honestly nothing too special and the price tag said $99.90!!! O.O I wonder if there are people out there who are actually willing to pay that much for an iPhone case... anyways... The tenants are taking care of the building inside and out as there is no interest in doing so and no response when garbage is strewn all over the alley. So, the tenants take care of the mess. Light bulbs are burned out in hallways for months, washers are 30+ years old and don't work with no intent of replacement, general cleaning of the common areas is done once a month, if that, IF anything breaks or is damaged, the manager doesn't show up but asks the tenants to let the service people in the building or to give them the code for the keys from the lock box - never mind showing up to be in your suite or in the building while there is someone in your suite. In the first year of managing our building, numerous cheques were lost with no explanation as to what happened or why they disappeared. I'm not exactly sure what the owner is paying them for because really, they do nothing and when you try to talk to someone, they are very abusive and confrontational. My deepest sympathies to anyone who has Dorset for your building management.
