Disclaimer: I really dislike leaving negative reviews. I only like to leave complimentary reviews of businesses (You will notice this if you view my profile on Yelp.) I love and support small businesses and only ever want to see entrepreneurs succeed. However, my experience with Royal Photo was so terrible I feel the need to speak freely. This was the worst Customer experience I've ever had with a Business in Montreal. I own a MacBook that had recently been called for a voluntary battery change due to safety reasons. Since I work every day from my computer, I SPECIFICALLY decided to make a scheduled battery repair during a Holiday because I was told it would take 3-5 days. I was on a 7-day vacation, and it took them 15 to finish the repair. I understand things take time and delays can happen but this was ridiculous and set me back on my work. I am not mad about the delay I am mad at Royal Photo's lack of care and ability to follow up and inform me of the delays that they clearly were aware of (They had tracking information on the parts the second they were ordered.) To make matters worst THE WRONG KEYBOARD WAS INSTALLED ON MY LAPTOP, then I had to come back not ONCE but TWICE for the correct one to be ordered because the representatives at the counter failed to correctly report the error. All the while Royal Photo took absolutely no responsibility for the situation and continuously blamed Apple for their lack of Customer Support. I will never be using Royal Photo again for a service or any business and would highly recommend against using them because of how horrendous this experience was. No compensation was offered, not even an apology. read more

I have a "vintage" apple macair as it was defoned in apple correvtly since it is a 2011 computer. My battery needed to be changed. I phoned them after the advose from the technician in apple to see if they had one available to change it immediately. They were super nice on the phone and we rush to the place si ce they had the possibility to change it. All the people there are super nice and super available and professional. Keep this. Usiness running if you have a vintage apple conputer to repair or if youneed photo camera items. Theyvare great and good price too. read more

Royally the kind of customer service you receive in a pawn shop. I will take a minute to explain you my little story. I got referred by Loseau to go rent a lens that they didn't have available at that time knowing that you need paperwork's from your insurance if you don't want to pay The premium with your insurance I called him in the morning to make sure that I would have all the paperwork necessary for the transaction to go smoothly he told me that the letter that I received from my insurance company to Roselle would be enoug. Royale photo is an accredited seller from apple computers when I arrive on location my phone died. I kindly ask to the person in front of me if they would have a charge he told me that I would have to go at the gas station at the corner to get my phone to work so I could be able to send him the paperwork. And this is how it all started . My plan was not to pay premium for my rental rental and take that money and use it in the store because I needed a tripod I needed a case I needed it a few things but I was about to spend $2000. Once he got the paper that I sent him he told me : we only take one insurance company and your letter is not good enough. Mind you is the afternoon now I don't have a lot of leverage I need this lens for a job and I need to get going but I had to go to the bank make a transfer because unlike he told me earlier my paperwork was not good enough. The rest of the staff was trying to get in this story was I need to trying to justify the sales associate was clearly clearly had misinformed me instead of a apologizing they were trying to justified and there's even one who said we all do a possible here obviously this one didn't so I took the rental and I went to spend my $2000 at B&h where the customer service is so amazing. read more

Wow. These guys are awesome. Knowledgable, honest, and super friendly. I came in with a problem with my 2010 MBP and two of the reps, including Wayne and one other gentlemen with a goatee, spent almost an hour with me investigating and attempting different solutions. They're willingness to help me was the best I've ever experienced. This store will now be my exclusive computer shop. Merci beaucoup guys! read more
