Both Rowdy and Zee needed a bath and grooming in a bad way. Both dogs were content and very calm. The staff was very professional and they took their time with both dogs. They were about 4 hours but like I said they were past due. Not by our fault. Both were very content and not tired after their grooming. Definitely will use them again soon. read more

I don't know why I have never done this before! I took my sweet cat to The Royal Treatment to get a good wash because I used some new cat litter and it kept getting stuck in her hair. Not one to normally post this but I'm highly disappointed in Royal Treatment: Pet Manor & Grooming Spa . I paid $115 to get the deshedding package upgrade and it doesn't even look like the dog was brushed at all. This is 30 minutes after picking her up. Absolutely overpriced place for crap service. Dont recommend anyone using this groomer if you having a long haired dog. read more

This is my second time going to Royal Treatment for grooming services. As other reviews have mentioned, they do cost a lot and take a longer time. That is not the reason for this review however. My fiancé dropped my corgi off with instructions to "trim his fur and nails the same as last time" expecting a normal cut for a corgi. However, he was returned hours later completely shaved down to the skin. For those not familiar, corgis have an undercoat that protects the skin and regulates body temperature (yes, even in the heat) and should NEVER be shaved apart from specific medical concerns. I called to complain and they told me I was wrong (please see link below for more info). I paid $100 for them to ruin my dogs coat and not allow him to play outside for months until his fur grows back - hopefully not patchy and permanently ruined, because that's a possibility too :). I would not suggest taking your pet here, as they're obviously not educated on different breeds grooming. So yesterday I took my baby Xavier for a grooming and half day play at Royal Treatment. They initially told me that he would be able to play with the other dogs after his bath. The only reason he's staying for the half a day play was so I can see how his behavior was with out dogs. If they would have told me he wasn't going to be able to play with the other dogs I would have picked him up and bought him to the park. I asked for pictures because I wanted to see and they only sent one picture which let me know. read more

I thought we had hit upon a good thing when we found Royal Treatment for my2 ragdoll cats. I have one who is extremely resistant to having anything done to her. But the groomer (who was tatted by the way) offered no complaints and said she had no problems doing my difficult baby . So we returned several more times and each time they were returned back with descent "lion cuts". The cost was expensive at $100 apiece, but it was the going rate in town. The last time I took them a manager called and said that I needed to pick up my more difficult cat because she would not allow them to take her out of the cage and he had to safeguard his employees. [I knew from prior vet experience it usually only requires you to dump the offensive cat out) of the cage rather than reaching in.) He became defensive and argumentative when I asked to speak to the groomer , so I could see what was going on, He absolutely refused and said I was disrespectful! He said don't bring your cats back. So we were thrown out. The next day I ended up taking her to The Cat Care Center on Perkins Rd. where it cost me $275. because they had administered anesthesia and medication to reverse the anesthesia, since I don't normally have my pets anesthetized. Finally , However, that's a little high to maintain for two cats. I found a place, the Velvet Touch in Denham Springs, not much for aesthetics, but extremely efficient and the cuts were only $75. !They were done perfectly and the groomer said she had absolutely no problems with my more difficult girl. So needless to say, we will be going back there. read more

I would rather give it a 3.5 star review. They do the job for the most part. They are a bit pricey when compared to other groomers/ boarding places. My pups are very little (2 lbs and 11 lbs) so I don't believe the prices are justified. When I called to ask for pricing, they said they wouldn't know that until the groomer sees them. When I picked them up, they said pricing was based on the dog's weight so I'm not a fan of the inconsistency. I was also charged an additional handling fee for my little 2 lb dog. When I asked about that the groomer told me he was biting at her. Considering he has been groomed a few times now and this is the first time I heard of this behavior from him, I feel like this is more so based on this particular groomer. This dog is not difficult to handle in anyway. My last time there was the most I've been charged anywhere for a grooming. I feel like the price might be different the next time I go but I don't want to risk it. Overall, the service they say they provide is accurate and the staff are friendly especially the front desk. read more

Don't ever take your golden retriever here. I specifically asked that her belly be shaved and her feet be trimmed and I left there with a shaven dog that looks more like a lab. Paid for nail cutting. It was not done. Was promised if I delivered my dog by 7:00 am, he would be first in line for grooming. They said they would call when he was ready. I called mid afternoon to see what had happened and they said they had forgot to call. The grooming looked horrible and he no longer looks like a Maltese.. Never again will I go there. read more

This place is the best! My dog is always so happy when she gets there because she knows she will be loved. I've never used the boarding services, but she gets bathed and gets her nails trimmed there regularly. She is always a happy girl when they bring her out to me. I don't know how this place is being managed anymore, but it is extremely unorganized. My previous experience has been around a 3.5 star due to taking forever to get my doggie back from a groom appointment (really....5 hours later and she still isn't ready?? No call, text, nothing) However, after this experience today, I will definitely find somewhere else to go. I made an appointment for two dogs a few weeks ago. Someone called me to move one of my pups to another groomer for another day...completely fine. THEN, the same person called me right back to move the other pup to another groomer for another day....weird, but fine. THEN, they called me TWICE to "confirm" my dogs appointments on TWO different days (including Sunday). Again...fine...you want to make sure we are still coming (we are). We show up at the appointment time only to be told their vaccinations are out of date and refused service. Not ONCE in the many phone calls I have received to "confirm" the appointment did anyone mention the out of date vaccines. This has been a complete waste of time considering that we drive 20 mins to get there. read more

We have been bringing our dog Sugar to Royal Treatment for years ... both to the prior location and to the new GORGEOUS facility. Honestly, I would never go anywhere else. Sugar (a golden doodle) has a standing appointment -- every other Thursday -- for a bath and partial or full groom. On Thursday mornings, we say to Sugar, "Do you want to go see Amanda?" (That's the owner.) Sugar prances and dances her way to the door, to jump in the car and go see her favorite people. That tells me everything I need to know. They love her, they care for her, they treat her like the little princess we all know she is. :) And it doesn't hurt that she always looks beautiful when we pick her up! I brought my 3 year old labradoodle in to Royal Treatment on last Friday for her first visit to the groomer. I have had her groomed by a mobile vet in our home in the past. I was nervous because she is very skiddish but Falon led her to the back with no issue. Falon did a great job! I brought my dog here for the first time and I am very disappointed. I paid $80 for her to come out looking insane. First, I asked the lady to please cut her hair short and she responded with "no, I don't like doing it short with this type of dog so I'm not going to". I should be able to get what I ask for when I'm paying for it. Not be told no. Then, right before I leave she proceeds to tell me she was going to put her through hell because her beard was a little matted. My first time there and my shaking scared dog the lady tells me this right before taking her to the back. She asked if nails needed clipping and teeth needed brushing I said yes. I get my dog, doesn't seem like teeth were touched at all and nails are still very long. I can't even look at my dog like I used to because she looks so bad. She has no hair around the face and the bottom of her is not short like I asked. It looks insane. I paid $80 for my dog to look so bad and to be told she doesn't want to cut it short because she doesn't like to do that on my type of dog?? I asked, I'm paying, I should be told "yes if that's what you want I can do that". And I shouldn't have to leave after dropping my dog off for the first time feeling uncomfortable because last thing lady said to me was she was going to put her through hell. Will not be returning. I am pissed. And it was not worth my money. Thank god the hair will eventually grow back but this place should not have received my payment or business. I thought it would be a good place because the people on phone seemed nice and reviews were mostly good but no. If you have a schnauzer and your dog comes out with NO beard no eyebrows and a very long skirt (too long) you understand what I'm talking about. She looks unproportional and I'm still so mad she didn't cut her skirt short like I asked. The face would look better if she did but it's all body and no face hair. She was so cute before now she just looks like a rat and I don't appreciate what I was told by the lady cutting her hair. read more

I had booked an appointment to have my cat's sanitary areas trimmed. I booked it early in the morning so I could get to work. I asked about how long it would take and they said they "prioritize the dogs" even though I had an appointment. I was quick to cancel and never look back. Cats are just as good as dogs people.
