Our room was tiny but very clean and well kept. We got it last minute on a third party site and were glad we had two nights here. The breakfast is a small menu but I appreciate the vegetarian selections. The best breakfast I've had was the vegetarian Pattie sandwich. Mmm mmmm! Just the right amount of food, two pieces of crusty toast and a savory veggie patty which reminded me of harvest burgers in the 90s when I first became a vegetarian. Very tasty. They have a 24/7 bar (yaaaaaas) and an excellent wine list. Great dry white wines. My other breakfast here I ordered salmon and cream cheese toast (instead of a croissant) and the husband got one of the croissants. It was good. Top that off with a nice cold Prosecco and that's a nice Saturday morning holiday. :) the guy who waited on us July 12 in the morning gave us outstanding service. Didn't catch his name but I was impressed overall. He gave us a taxi recommendation which is always helpful. There was a live jazz band Thursday night outside the hotel and that was very energetic and fun.

We were fortunate enough to get an outdoor table for an incredible meal and cocktails on a lovely summer evening and a most comfortable room in a delightful historic hotel. We picked The Spa Hotel in Tunbridge Wells at it had availability and seemed to meet what we were looking for. We enjoyed the afternoon using the facilities such as the pool and steam rooms. The hotel bar was nice and we had a very enjoyable lunch. I enjoyed a De Stressed massage, which left me exceptionally relaxed. The massage really set me off on a good note and I was looking forward to the rest of the stay. However, this is really were the good things about our stay ended. The room we got, which was booked as a double premium suite was no where near what we would have expected for the rate we paid. The room was in the eaves and quite a bit cramped. As I am more so on the taller side, this was clearly going to lead to a few head bumps. Fortunately, those we amazingly avoided. That left us with the evening ahead. Unimpressed by the restaurants menu and high price, we set out down the road for the Pantiles and found a great couple of places. After returning and settling down for the evening, things really turned for worse. The air conditioner made noises every 30 minutes or so when it wasn't on that would wake you up. The bed was exceptionally small and only fit two people if one lay sideways. The ability to properly sleep in these conditions was just unachievable. After a very rough night and lack of sleep, the relaxing feeling that I had was long gone and replaced with extreme tiredness and plenty of soreness. We are exceptionally disappointed with what can only be referred to a terrible stay. This hotel really had the opportunity to be top notch, but it severely missed the target. Don't think we would likely stay here again.

I think it is denoted a four star but I've been to worse five star places! Trained, professional staff, upmarket facilities, groovy bar, loads of conference rooms and excellent cuisine. I live too close to ever need to stay there but otherwise this is an absolute asset to TW.

I guess it would have been easy for the chefs to turn up their collective noses but hey(!), they served up some eye watering classics. Good on 'em. Feeling flush & wanting the best? Visit. The only grumble is a lack of parking. There's a multi storey over the road but it is usually full of shoppers during the day. If you can afford to visit, why not get the chauffeur to drive round the block a few times? Job done.

The 34 rooms are named after drinks and all bar 4 come with roll-top baths and showers (the remaining 4 just have showers). The beds are made up with crisp Egyptian cotton sheets and are incredibly comfortable. For me, the thing that makes a difference is the service. Attention to detail is superb from the free loan of CDs for the rom, through the fresh coffee, through the attentiveness of the staff at every opportunity. Breakfast is good - Continental or full English (including the oft forgotten kippers and so on). Compared to many HdV's the dining room here is small but it still retains the charm that HdV have fought so hard to recreate. The little bar is a gem - cosy leather furniture, glass in hand, cigar from the selection. perfection!

For a starter we both shared BBQ chicken wings which were quite large and I wouldn't have been able to eat it myself - they were lovely. For a main we both had a steak, I had a fillet which melted in my mouth. My boyfriend ordered rib-eye and still enjoyed it but thought that my fillet was a better cut as it had zero fat! The mash was very nice - I wish I had this rather than the chips but still enjoyed the meal. Was very tempted by deserts but we was just so full up that we couldn't manage it! Also when we arrived we were informed that it was drinks happy hour (7-8pm), which was to be included on our bill overall making it a very inexpensive evening out! We both could not believe no one else was eating in the restaurant as we had enjoyed the meal so much and will definitely be returning in the future in a larger group! Definitely recommend

The rooms are very basic, only one chair and the windows are prevented from opening...soooooo, when it's scorching, you get a fan that not very effective!!! The all-you-can-eat breakfast isn't worth the £7.75 they charge for, (it is cheaper when you book online....only £6.50). Still not worth it. £3.00 Daily car parking charge, but they don't guarantee you a place. So, if you pay your money and can't park......go and get your money back!!!!!! They cannot charge you and then NOT provide the service. Can't recommend here

We stayed here a couple of weeks ago for the football…read more Travelodge has taken over an old hotel so it looks a bit grander than other travelodges. The rooms are also wildly different as I had a massive room, while some of the boys upstairs had attic rooms complete with severely sloping roofs. One thing Travelodge haven't updated are the floorboards, as not only can you hear your own creaking as you walk to the toilet, you can also hear upstairs wandering around and if you're unfortunate enough to be by the staircase, you can hear people trampling up and down stairs too. Another thing that let the hotel down was a lack of air conditioning. An early-May stay isn't the hottest that hotel is going to be, but with old and bolted sash windows, we were roasting. We also had to pay for parking, which seemed a bit tight as there were hardly any cars in the car park. Alright just to put our heads down for the night, but I don't think I'd stay again given the choice.

Also they were offering fresh Cornish lobster, fresh Orkney mussels and (yet more!) fresh fish from Hastings. Nice. Recently resurrected TW Qypestro legrandflaneur was on hand and reckoned the Bombardier was a bit iffy, so did I, so only four stars this time.

Not as tired as some hotels and frankly better than some of the more established chains. I actually stay here in preference to the hotels in Sevenoaks as its good value and I think has better rooms. I have been in the pub next door and had the food. I have to be honest (I could have been exceptionally hungry) but it was one of the nicest steaks I have had for a while. Service was struggling on the night but still only had a 15 min wait. For the beer drinker they had London Pride and another beer on draught. You can get Wi-Fi in the room but it is quite expensive and surely the penny will drop with the Premier Inn people that this is getting to be an essential. However, if you want to log on it will cost you a fiver or more for longer. Receptionist was very helpful and there is a pay as you go internet service in the lobby. Overall good value and certainly better than the places I normally stay in Sevenoaks.There is a good car park which is free and I have never had any trouble parking. One more star for me because of the steak!!
