Royalton CHIC Antigua - Disappointing Experience That Fell Well Below Expectations I booked Royalton CHIC Antigua expecting a modern, upscale adults‑only resort experience--especially since I paid thousands of dollars to join the Royalton Prime Travelers Club. Unfortunately, this stay has been deeply disappointing and did not meet the standards promised or expected at this price point. My disappointment began as soon as I was shown to my room. The room was very small and felt like an older hotel room with only minor cosmetic updates. It was well below the quality and size I typically book and not what I associate with a "CHIC" branded property. I immediately asked about a room upgrade and made it clear that I was willing to pay extra for a better accommodation. I was informed that all rooms at the resort are similar in size and quality, which was discouraging and surprising. As this was my first stay as a Royalton Prime member, I expected at least some meaningful options or value tied to that investment. Unfortunately, the issues didn't stop there. The room also appeared to be mosquito infested. My wife and I spent much of our first night killing mosquitoes inside the room, which made it difficult to relax or sleep and raised concerns about pest control. The resort grounds were another disappointment. Landscaping throughout the property appeared poorly maintained and overgrown, which detracted from the overall ambiance and made the resort feel neglected rather than luxurious. At the pool area, my wife and I were unable to get clean towels, which is a basic expectation at any resort--especially one positioned as premium. What makes this experience particularly frustrating is that I joined the Royalton Prime Travelers Club with the expectation of enhanced experiences, better accommodations, and long‑term value across Royalton properties. Instead, on my very first visit, I encountered a small room, maintenance and cleanliness issues, and limited service responsiveness. It's rare that I arrive at a vacation destination and find myself looking forward to going home, but that was unfortunately the case here. Based on this experience, I do not feel Royalton CHIC Antigua delivers the quality or value it advertises.

We traveled with a large group and stayed in the Diamond Club at Royalton Chic, and bayyybeee, what an experience! From start to finish, everything was top notch. The butler service took it over the edge, attentive, professional, and made us feel like true VIPs. I honestly don't want to travel any other way now! The resort itself was beautiful, the vibes were unmatched, and our group had the best time. Highly recommend the Diamond Club if you want your trip to feel extra special.

This is the diamond club beach .. please do better

Not what we were expecting the Royalton chic Antigua is a resort style carnival cruise . To improve you would need to have an expert in to revamp the food as well as the diamond club expectation .

Had some issues but Customer Service resolved them. Thanks Royalton, I appreciate the follow up and communication

I would like 2 start out by saying everything was as expected l. The ambiance was on point. The people were generous and welcoming and for a girls trip it was better than I imagined. I want to thank the staff for doing such a wonderful job especially everyone at the spa , they all get an A+++ from me especially on Wednesday 7/30/25. I want to give me a special Shout Out , (Waiter) Kathy'ann, (Bartender) Jason, (Fit Team) Lindo, Daniel & Elaina, 2 (The Vibe Team) Keithroy, Timothy, Devon, Sanya, Afternoon aka Ajarnie. Everyone of these people I named made me amd my bestie feel like we were home and we appreciate them all! Best Trip Ever! Only Problem I had was tiles were coming up out of the pool that needs to be maintenence and some outdoor toilets took a lil long to flush but still was a great trip.

We went when it was spring break - young college students everywhere. The main pool on the family side was where all the activities were. The Adult side was more of a relaxing atmosphere. The food wasn't consistent especially at the Palm Beach Grill. The resort also had a popular grill spot by the pool on the Family side that served hot dogs and burgers. The other onsite restaurants were average. The best dining experience was the breakfast buffet, very organized and the staff served you. The drinks were super sweet, you have to ask the bartender not to add too much juice or soda. If you wanted a nice cocktail have your dollars ready and you can ask him to use the better quality alcohol and not the house brand. For some reason the lobby bar at most resorts prepares the best drinks - this is where I receive the best service along with the best drinks. We had an issue with our room and had to switch by the second day. I really did not like their customer service because they tried to convince us to stay in a room that wasn't up to standard. The first room had a foul odor coming up from the drainage, the shower head was broken and there were broken dresser drawers. They gave us a really hard time and tried to make it look like they were doing us a favor. We had to reach out to the corporate office after checking out. This isn't a bad resort and we would stay here again. It's located at a central location thats close to a lot of restaurants and attractions.

Viewed were amazing. The beach is nice, waves are a bit strong. Close to Simpson bay for bar hoping (they say maho village is the entertainment center but...naw, it's not). Sonesta rooms are better than Simpson bay rooms... Simpson bay has more activities and walkability at night. Thankfully it's close by. We rented from dollar rentals in the maho lobby and received free parking on site. It was so nice to have a car instead of paying drivers every time we needed to leave. Whether you're looking to party, chill, relax, sunbathe or be pampered with a personal Butler (check out the butler suite!!) sonesta is the place to lay your head and keep your group entertained at all times. Especially those who prefer to stay at the resort 24/7. For those who like to get out and about, it's close to Simpson bay and not too far from Marigot or Phillipsburg. If I came back with family, I'd stay here. If it was just me and hubby, we'd do an Airbnb.

From the moment we arrived, time seemed to move differently. The trade winds rolled through the palm trees, Nevis sat perfectly across the water like a painting, and suddenly there was nowhere to be except exactly where we were.(not to mention being greeted with Rum Punch) Our days quickly settled into a rhythm that felt almost too good to be real: slow mornings with coffee and ocean views, afternoons spent poolside with frozen drinks in hand, and evenings that stretched long after sunset because nobody was in a hurry for them to end. The resort somehow manages to feel both expansive and intimate at the same time. Whether we were wandering the grounds, enjoying dinner with the Caribbean breeze drifting through the restaurant, or star-gazing with their amazing guide, every moment felt intentional. What stayed with me most wasn't the luxury, or all of the friendly, and warm staff -- although there was plenty of that. It was the feeling. The feeling of having nowhere to rush off to. The feeling of reconnecting with the person sitting across from you instead of whatever notification was waiting on your phone. The feeling of remembering what vacation is actually supposed to feel like. Somewhere between the sunsets, the ocean breeze, the rum cocktails, and the sound of the waves in the distance, St. Kitts stopped feeling like a destination and started feeling like a state of mind. Some trips give you souvenirs. This one gave us memories we'll spend years trying to recreate.

It was a pretty quiet Labor Day Weekend and we felt as though we were just one of a few couples on the property. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. They were truly the nicest people and showed us the best hospitality. The food was amazing. Every dish we tried was excellent.. our room was big and we really loved our patio chaise lounges to relax in the evenings. Janelle the concierge made sure we got to see the best sites of the island . The stay at the Park Hyatt in St. Kitts has been a truly unforgettable experience and I hope to be back again very soon.

The condo was spacious and filled with amenities including full kitchen with dishwasher, plus laundry facilities right there in the room. We spent a lot of time on the balcony. The dining options were really good and the outdoor venue at the pool has the best conch fritters of any place we tried on the island. There are several pool areas spread around the property, and the beach / ocean was so satisfying, with plenty of cabanas, pergolas and loungers for the taking, There are things like putt putt, cornhole, giant chess and other things spread around the property for your gaming enjoyment. Also the Royal St Kitts Golf Club is adjacent to the property and let me tell you it is a stellar round of golf, very well manicured, absolutely epic views, with par 3 hole 15 and holes 16-17 playing right along the ocean. Treated my daughter's boyfriend to a round and am oh-so-glad we spent the day out there. Service all around was great. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Finally, we found the location to be great, within walking distance to several bars and restaurants plus grocery.

A big shout out to Mericia and Marcus! There was plenty of parking, numerous places to eat, and pools for all. It is relatively close to Timothy Bay Beach, which has great snorkeling, lots of bar/restaurants to choose from. Of the restaurants, we were very partial to Monkey Bar and Restaurant because of the phenomenal seafood offerings (see a separate review on YELP or TripAdvisor for more details). I would have rated this higher, but when it came time to check out, we reached out ahead of time for a bellhop to assist with luggage (for the 4 of us). I even received a confirmation text stating someone was on their way, yet no one showed up...
