Color with highlights and lowlights/trim with long layers I…read morewent in the day before and that day I was having a lot of pain and was in a wheelchair and it took the stylist over an hour to mix just the color and she seemed so confused like she had no idea what she was doing so I told them that we had at Shanahan's that would leave me no time to get ready for her to still do my hair so she offered to come back down and curl my hair and make it look nice for us to go out and she said she was going to run up and get her stuff come back and curl my hair and then she just disappeared and she came back down and I was like oh you don't want me to curl your hair. I'm like I don't have time we need to leave. Find out the next time we go in that she told people that I was only down there for a little bit and wasn't happy with the Colour or something and just told her I didn't wanna do it anymore, which is a lie because it took them an hour to cut my husband's hair. He was just finishing coming down to get me and she was just coming down with a color so I made an appointment with Julie who's supposed to be a master stylist which I guess anymore doesn't mean anything. She was so incredibly rude to me. I asked her three times are you sure you're comfortable doing my hair because I don't want anybody who's angry with me or has bad feelings about me touching my hair and you don't seem to like me very much and she kept saying no that's not it. No, that's not it. She called me a liar about the thing that happened The day before with the other girl. I'm like no it did. I can tell you the times but I got here and the times that she came down and she's like well. Let's just move on. I was trying to explain to her the colors that I wanted my hair and she kept telling me that I had to pick one just pick one I'm like I don't want one. I want Auburn in there like on the top and I want to feed into a copper and I want blonde highlights. I know it can be done. I've had it my whole life instead the top of my hair is completely bleached. It look like a skunk and I don't think I've ever been more unhappy with a cut. I came home. I cut my own bangs. I told her that showed her the cut that I wanted. She didn't do that at all. Then when she asked if she could curl my hair, she didn't ask how I curl my hair so she put these tiny tight curls in my hair. I don't wear my hair like that and she got upset that I put my hair in a ponytail. Well to me it look like garbage that's not how I wear my hair, I wore my hair into the salon curly to show them how curly my hair is how much like weight my curl has and that if it has to touch my nose wet, it'll touch my eyebrows dry, but there is no communication between her and I at all and then she still sold me product that I don't think I needed. I used number four and I think that's perfectly fine but she doesn't seem to think so. I would appreciate a call from the owner or someone because I think all in all I was treated very poorly. Oh and their prices.. you should be going to a master stylist Downtown! 365 cut+ color total BS when Rumors ran it I usually paid 180 for the same thing and didn't look like I had rad paint all over my neck and forehead my ears were covered. All it takes is a little bit of baby oil and a cotton ball and it comes right off not to mention she ruined a $200 shirt by being messy and not paying attention to what she was doing and it's because she was so aggravated with me for whatever reason I still don't get it. I did this for my first vacation so I could enjoy it without worrying about my long eyelashes bothering me throughout the day or worrying about them in the morning. She was completely unprofessional being on her phone the whole time and unprofessional handling the situation after she ripped me off. $90 down the drain. Once, she even offered a free wash since I needed to be back at work immediately after my haircut. I've gotten a massage here two different times, with two different people, and they were hands-down…read morethe two best massages I have EVER received. They were both 1-hour massages. My first one was with Roxanna, and my most recent one was with Joan. I think I will talk more about Joan because it's fresher in my memory, but I also remember loving Roxanna's massage too! Joan started by applying firm finger pressure on my spine, neck, and shoulders, she said that she was trying to see where I was tight / problem areas. It felt really good! Then she went through the usual full-body massage, and I could tell that she was very experienced and skillful. Everything felt soooo nice, my nerves/muscles even tingled a couple times :) I love that feeling... I also told her before the massage that I would like her to focus on my legs because I'm most active there, and I really liked her technique of raising and bending my legs in order to get a better massage into them, loosen them up, or whatever the massage-terminology might be :) I love the addition of the aromatherapy oils (I always choose the peppermint, it just smells so invigorating and refreshing, and is apparently good for sore muscles). I also love the hot towels that they place on your feet when massaging your legs. The salon/spa itself is nice because it's tucked away from the bustle of Pearl Street, in a quiet side road near the canyon. Going there always feels like a special little private retreat :) The spa rooms are softly lit, warm, and there are heated massage tables so it's just such a relaxing, quiet experience. They are also quite separate from the salon area which is nice. I will definitely be back!
