Within a couple hours I was sent a detailed list of things from their courtesy inspection that needed repair along with photos. My reasoning for a missing star was I asked for the details on the $159 inspection and was told everything looked great, but that could have been because the seller wiped it clean (?!). I'm just your typical women who knows nothing about cars and had no idea this was possible. I felt taken advantage of for not being told about this before I agreed to pay $159. On top of that, there was some kind of $12 fee I was not told about that brought my total to $172 after taxes. I really appreciate their kind customer service and their nice clean waiting room but I would still recommend anyone who has no clue about cars to ask around before spending money here.

Gardner Auto to the RESCUE!…read more I was in town for the weekend with my grandson for a swim competition, when my Tundra decided to die on me, I called Gardner Auto and they quickly answered my call, keep in mind, I was stranded on the side of the road when they answered my call and determined is was possible my alternator was bad, they came to my rescue, took my truck back to the shop and they got me back on the road the same day with a new alternator and new battery. Dropped off on Sunday night for them to start on Monday morning. We were told it would take 1 day and possibly one overnight (2 days). On day 2, we called for an update. They were struggling to get a bolt off and did not want to break it. We followed up on Day 3, same result with the bolt. Day 4, we followed up around 3pm, still cannot get a bolt off. It was not going to be done until at least Friday. Now we are up against a weekend. After a friendly conversation with Daniel, he said they could put it back together and we could come pick the car up because I was not understanding nor believed how it takes 5 days to get a bolt off. Picked the car up Friday morning. Took it to another shop around the corner Sunday night. Monday morning they reached out to my daughter (that is customer service) and asked who had been in her car because there were several broken bolts and the oil line going to the turbo was broken. No worries, they fixed it and we had it back on Tuesday. 1.5 days and it would have been 1 day but they had to fix what Gardner broke and lied about. I called to speak to Daniel about this and his response was "I am happy you were able to get it fixed." I know now that the problem was never that they could not get the bolts off, they broke it and tried to buy time by lying and could not fix what they broke. They never once reached out to us. They only way we knew anything was if we called ourselves, and clearly they were not honest about what was going on. After asking around, it makes sense. This is also a garage that people go to that will pass their car for an inspection when it should not. Shady all the way around. Do yourself a favor and avoid taking your car here.

Bay Auto provided me with nothing but honest, friendly, thorough, and amazing service…read more I had been getting hit over the head by another vehicle repair company, and so many people kept telling me "take it to Bay Auto," but I had been so busy I just went with what I knew. Recently, I had my vehicle at the other repair shop, they wanted to charge me for the following (their words verbatim via text message) "The hourly charge is 159. We would need to change out the brake fluid. The part is 97.95. It also calls for 4 hours to replace that hose. So the total after parts, labor and tax is $1,169.35." I knew right then in there I needed to get my vehicle to Bay Auto. I called Bay Auto, Tim answered right away and told me "bring it in, and we will take a look at it and take care of you." I had my vehicle towed to Bay Auto, and from there they took care of everything over the phone for me. My car stayed parked in their garage safe over the weekend. Come Monday afternoon Tim calls and tells me the exact same issue with my car but the price is $356.89!!!!!! My HEART DROPPED and I cried tears of joy. The relief I had was so indescribable. I had been stressing on how in the world I was going to come up with the funds. I didn't need to stress anymore because BAY AUTO was taking care of my vehicle at a way more reasonable price. I told Tim my car was about to hit 100,000 and my vehicle app kept telling me to refer to the handbook. Tim told me he would check it out, take a look at what needs to be done then get back with me. Next day Tim called me and let me know everything looked good but the handbook does recommend a transmission flush but it was completely up to me if I wanted Bay Auto to do it now or come back at another time. I told Tim to go head and knock it out, and they did. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND TAKING YOUR VEHICLE HERE!!!!!
