On this particular day the receptionist Maria and I quote 'if your having bandages replaced you cannot see a doctor'. After speaking with my surgeon, he was baffled and bewildered as to why I was refused medical help. My wife then drove me to Victoria Tower Medical Centre in Burwood, the receptionist had no problem to allow the Dr to change my bandages. On another occasion my wife was not well last week and needed reception to fax a prescription to the chemist. The chemist would then receive a blank fax or the back of the prescription, after three times advising Maria to resend the faxes, she would get abrupt and was quite rude. It's not my fault if she is incapable of sending a fax. The Dr's at Five Dock medical centre are great, they are professional and have high standards.

Kiran really treats you like an individual rather than just another patient and spends the time to get to know you as a person. She only works part time which makes it tricky at times, but she is worth the wait. Kiran is a warm and really nurturing doctor - added benefit is she provides shared care services with RPA when having a baby. She not only looks after me but also my husband and 2 girls. Its a small clinic but another massive benefit is they have pathology on site one or two days a week so if you need this, make sure you book a day to do both doctor and pathology in one go. Makes life so much easier!

But after such a really great experience from the manager, who has messaged me and who has personally apologised for the bad experience I've had, I can't but melt a little at the whole process, and the wonderful way in which Fiona has structured her reply ;- that she has taken the time to reply given my less than complimentary first appraisal is gutsy and I like that. My review is updated now reflecting my admiration for a really courageous professional move from the manager, and I can't fault Fiona's contact with me - in fact I laud and salute it as something "well done".... so - Well done.
