I normally don't write reviews as I give people the benefit of the doubt to do the right thing. They certainly did not. Lori loves to make threats, harass, blackmail, and hang up on people. She blackmailed me today, that if I don't make a payment in full ($6,000) that she would take me to court and put a lien on my home or else. Hung up on me saying, "well, let's find out then." This is harassment. She is completely unprofessional and needs a customer service class. Glad I was on speaker phone and my wife witnessed the whole conversation. Brian only represented me for three months, which they tried to charge me $13,000. FOR THREE MONTHS AND NO WORK PERFORMED!!! I gave them $5,000 upfront as the retainer and another $2,000 later and was surprised to get an additional bill for $6,000. He talked a big talk in our initial consultation but when it came to court, he just sat there and didn't say anything. I did ALL the filing with court and only needed a lawyer in court to be able to represent me, make sure things were not lopsided by the other counsel and know the rulings. He never filed any opening statements, never communicated (never answered my emails), got bulldogged by the opposing counsel and left us 15 minutes in an hour to present our case. Luckily, I knew the evidence like the back of my hand and ran through it quickly. If it wasn't for me, he would have lost. I would have been better off representing myself. He kept on insisting on this COBI counseling which costs $5,000 and even told the opposing party I would be willing to pay for it without my consent. This guy must have thought I was made out of money, because he sure acted like it. I guess if they want to go that route with their threats and blackmail, I will be contacting the State Bar of Arizona to file a complaint on their practices, harassment, blackmail and lack of communication and representation. And now that I saw the review by Jason two months ago about our personal documents being all over the local neighborhood makes it even more of a complaint. I received an email from Lori saying she had my file to pick up or they would shred it. Guess they aren't shredding any legal documents as the review states. They are crooks and unprofessional, go elsewhere.

It was a very clear-cut, non contentious divorce that should've taken 3 months MAX and could've been done sans lawyer - but I didn't want to deal with the paperwork headache. So I paid a $4,000 retainer with the assurance that we would NOT exceed that amount unless it turned into a battle that went to court. Well, we never went to court and were in agreement every step of the way, yet Marc is now trying to charge additional funds after the divorce took 8 months due to HIS disinterest in the case. This lack of attentiveness led to MULTIPLE, repeated mistakes that should've never occurred because the majority of the divorce - including the parenting plan, division of property / debts and other miscellaneous details - had all been laid out by myself at the very beginning. Every time these mistakes were brought to his attention, with a gentle reminder for him to "refer to the original paperwork" - I was charged for him to make the corrections. I was told numerous times that certain paperwork or filings were already completed - then weeks or even months later, was surprised to hear that he was still working on those same items and you guessed it - being charged for them again. More than once, I sat in his office for appointments where he went over details that we had ALREADY ADDRESSED and reviewed in previous meetings - which was once again, a clear opportunity to double-charge me. I even had to ask for corrections on the child support order 3 different times (!!) - when I kept pointing out that the amounts were "off" compared to what I had determined in my own calculations. If I could give a zero, I would. Perhaps he was a good lawyer in the past, or is better with other areas of law - but when it came to a simple divorce, he was incredibly incompetent and expressed NO sense of urgency. In all honesty, his secretary was the only reason anything got done. Maybe I might've had a better experience if I was one of his "bigger ticket" clients - but unless you want to be exorbitantly charged for extreme lack of detail and disregard for your case, heed my advice and take your legal matters elsewhere!

He was well qualified, very knowledgable, a great trial attorney, and very responsive to our calls and emails. We highly recommend him. However, on the downside, this firm is extremely expensive, constantly raised the hourly billing rate (as soon as 30 days after signing a retainer agreement!) and seemed to have no consideration as to how much the matter was costing us. We were very clear up front as to the value of the property in litigation and as to what we could afford yet still, we wound up spending $250,000 in litigation over a property with $160,000 in equity.
